I'm pretty sure you abdicated rights to all caves and cabins in a previous EULA. Also, you agreed to agree to all future EULAs in perpetuity infinity+1.

Quote:There's one thing a Force Field defender can do that noone else can: grant perma 38% defense to 255 targets with 3 clicks (Powerboost, Deflection, Insulation) at range - no spamming "gather". It's easy, fun, and very powerful. Cold can't do that. Not thermal either. Not Emp. Not anything. And FF Controllers and Masterminds can't quite reach the levels of defense defenders can offer.I just want to know why I dont see many bubbler "Defenders" anymore
Put red fortunes/serendipity in your defense powers (PFF, Deflection, Insulation, Dispersion, Maneuvers, Weave), put Gaussians in Tactics, and Zephyr in Hover and Flight and you'll have as much defense as your teammates.
Now pick archery for a secondary and your recharge bonuses from the io sets mentioned above will allow you to wipe out entire groups every 24 seconds from 100 feet away with no endurance crash.
But hey defense is overrated these days and defender damage sucks, so you should probably just make a farming brute. -
The #1 option for increasing COH performance on a Mac for me has been to turn off geometry buffers. I use standard mid range ultra mode settings, with the only change being disabling geometry buffers under advanced settings. COH runs great on a 2010 13" Air with 2.13GHZ C2D, 4GB RAM, and NVIDIA 320m running 10.6.8. I haven't upgraded to Lion yet.

As soon as support gets back to me, I am going to login and cancel my account after nearly 7 years.
There are no second chances after something this stupid. -
Nebulous Form works and when it fades eclipse and run through in dwarf form. You'll take little if any damage. After eclipse fades, switch back to human and nebulous form.
You can also teleport past mobs. Warshades have so many tools that they make the ultimate stealthers. -
I did one STF with 2 warshades, 2 tanks, 3 scrappers, and an MM. We had no issues. Now that many folks are level 51, the STF has become much easier.
I did bring along some big purples to help with the recluse fight.
5 STFs all succeeded and only one of those had any defenders, controllers, or corruptors. The other 4 were damage heavy, debuff light. -
After the i19 respec my crab spider has 7 AOEs and 6 pets, 3 of which have AOEs. He's defense capped and the AOEs include -res and immobilize effects. It's friggin insane. One pass through your attack chain and the map melts. I and another crab spider fired this barrage off within the ITF valley of lag and after a roughly 9 minute pause, the game just gave up and said mission complete.
A warshade with spiritual radial can do similar things, but with soothing purple tones instead of bullets and plasma. -
After additional consideration (including several dreams and a viewing of the movie Inception), I'm once again sure they all died in the plane crash.

COH plays great on the 13" Air. The newer video card (320M) makes a big difference. The game performs about as well as a MacBook Pro 2.4 core I5. The 13" performs a lot better than the 11" due to the faster processor with x2 the cache. I run on the lowest ultra enabled settings over 802.11n and all is smooth (25-44fps). Turned off geometry buffers because that helped on another laptop. Not sure if it's necessary on the Air. I do have the upgrade to 4 GB RAM, which must be ordered built-in since Air RAM is not user upgradeable.
This is one awesome machine, I use it now as my sole computer (OSX 10.6.5/Win7-64), TV (EyeTV, iTunes, Netflix), etc. I traded in 2 other computers for this one and couldn't be happier. -
I tend to consider prot bots almost pure support: 1 acc/dam HO, 1 heal/end HO, 2 level 50 def buff IOs, and the +def and +res pet uniques. I hope to one day replace the 2 def buff IOs with def/end HOs since prot bots seem to use even more endurance now than in the past.

Quote:I tried again and beat him as a level 52EB. Unlike the first try, I fought him where he spawns instead of pulling him into the hallway. He dropped in about 2.5 minutes, only spawning 1 or 2 clones, partly because I toe bombed him with poison trap right away instead of after immobilizing him. The first time, the fight lasted so long, there were literally 100+ bifurcations. They littered several tiers of the room. It was insane. Holtz and the Honoree were a cakewalk by comparison.I'm fighting trapdoor on my level 50 bots/traps MM. He is a level 52EB. All my robots do 1pt of damage to him with all attacks even when he is debuffed by 2 poison traps and acid mortar. Any idea why? He has summoned over 100 clones. He summons them too fast to kill. I have soloed GMs with this character but cannot damage him. I thought the clones only buffed his regen? Do they also buff his damage resistance. Or does he have insane energy resistance?

I'll join this Master Run. I've completed Tin Mage a few times, but never the dodger badge. I've heard the pet nuke strategy is successful as long as you don't also try for the hacker badge in the same run. Don't want to get caught on the ground when the aggro storm starts. Bring Jetpacks if you don't have flight, and bring purples to avoid getting web naded and dropped from the sky.
Edit: Got all 3 nukes and a new set of Shivans to go along with my HVAS and a few other assorted pets. Also found 17 Big Purples in storage. I have Cardiac Core and Spiritual Radial as available Alphas. See you tomorrow at the Tin Mage! -
Whether we are willing to admit it or not, the answer to all of these questions is yes.

I finally got around to respecing my ancient grav/ff and decided to pick up Powerboost (Why did I have Ice Mastery again? Hibernate?)
Holy!?&! This thing has numbers. 31.3% bubbles. Recharges in under a minute. My AOE hold thinks its 2004. THIS is my alpha slot, my coming storm.
Also, that sound you make when the universe lifts up an entire room full of helpless rikti is still moneh. Dimension shift + Detention Field can imprison a +4 AV. Moar! -
I used to summon 4-5 singularities and perma hold the Hatched Kraken. Still, today's perma singy with powerboosted bubbles nearly soloed the Honoree while I ate a snack so I'm not complaining.

After the pvp changes in i13, you can take down the RV AVs with as few as 4 people and 2 heavies, although to be certain of victory one full team and 2 heavies will do it.
The hardest part is getting synapse to spawn. -
I've teamed with maybe a couple dozen new players since GR was released (0-1 vet badges). They all said the same things. They didn't know about global channels (yet), didn't read the forums (yet), and just wanted to play the actual game and try all the powersets before thinking about special events. They turned on looking for team (or sometimes just set a search comment indicating interest) and waited. The problem is few team leaders make pugs and invite randoms anymore.
So if you want to help new players, make pugs and invite anyone. Run a short tf or a story arc and have fun. Afterwards invite them to join a global channel or an sg/vg. And if you see them around again later, invite them again.
Save the PUG, Save Protector. -
Just thought I'd share my Pro Bot slotting which I really like:
1 Acc/Dam HO
1 Heal/End HO
2 lev 50 Def IOs
2 pet uniques Def and res pet auras
Full sets of Blood Mandate in Battle Drones and Assault Bot. -
Get Power Build Up from the epic pool. That makes Fortitude and FF shields godlike against the ultimate threats in the STF, LRSF, COP, etc.
FF especially is very underrated. When fitness becomes inherent and FF defenders can layer Dispersion with Maneuvers, Tough, Weave, and IO bonuses such as red fortune, gaussians, the steadfast unique, and the Incarnate Slots, look out. -
If you are really short and in Ninja Run crouch stance, you can run right through Valkyrie's legs. If you stand up you slam right into her.
Edit: It may have been an optical illusion. I'm continuing to investigate.
