I am looking for a smoothly running CoH if anyone has some settings I can use it would be helpful. I am currently using Ultra Mode and have turned off lots of it for smoother play.

MacBook -Snow Leopard
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
4GB DDR3 RAM

Thanks For The Help in Advance

You'll need to turn off Ultra-Mode all the way for a smooth play.

That 9400M is simply too weak to handle Ultra-Mode options.

The #1 option for increasing COH performance on a Mac for me has been to turn off geometry buffers. I use standard mid range ultra mode settings, with the only change being disabling geometry buffers under advanced settings. COH runs great on a 2010 13" Air with 2.13GHZ C2D, 4GB RAM, and NVIDIA 320m running 10.6.8. I haven't upgraded to Lion yet.

This helped me a great deal. Before I was lagging really badly in SG bases, RWZ base, Arachnos base maps, and in any new map that came out with Going Rogue, specifically the sewers/subway station, labs, and warehouse. Once I fixed the geometry buffers, I'm able to go in all of these places with no problem except the Going Rogue maps. Any idea how to fix the lag in there?

Still crash only mainly in RWZ arachnos labs and occasionally if there's a laggy spot (near markets, AE) and Bases. And I have everything at min settings >_>
I do try the /unloadgfx command and helps a little bit.

I found one other thing helps a bit (not enough by itself but it does help) in terms of in-game performance:

Turn off ALL buff icons. Pet, team and self. ALL of them. Made a noticeable (but small) difference in addition to the graphics settings.
