Quote:This is exactly what I want for my new DP/Fire Blaster... would be epic. What I'd want the most is that abilities would not interfere with whatever weapon's drawn, and would actually offer an alternate animation compatible with said weapon, ala brawl being turned into a kick if you click it while using twin swords. That would mean for example:
Illusion Control / Trick Arrow - Spectral Wounds being turned into a Spectral Arrow, Blind being turned into a Blind Arrow
Forcefields / Dual Pistol - Force Bolt being turned into a Concussive Shot, Repulsion Bomb being turned into a Repulsion Shot
Assault Rifle / Devices - Web Grenade and Taser being fired from the rifle
Warmace / Whatever / Fire Mastery - Fire Blast being fired from the left (free) hand while the warmace is held on the other hand
... and so on.
Of course, I'm sure it's impraticable, but I know I'd love it -
That is strange, I think a similar thing happened to me when I was taking out Bat'Zul on my DS/Them MM, when the Brute was trying to pull him he just ran around the place for ages and eventually came to attack.
-
I could do with the Axe on my Warshade... Would be nice to actually do something to the CoT ghosts...
Other than that I think the Sands have a few more uses. -
-
Any Tankers Tier 1 attack.
Otherwise not that I know of. -
-
I'd say that Demon Summoning has the best attacks with the -res. Not entirely sure about the rest.
-
I tend to make mainly female characters...
Partly because the butt watching, but also the fact that the males do run a bit wierd...
And also I think of more female costume designs that I like, where as males I usually only find one every now and then (For a specific character though...) -
Quote:Ever wonder why Ninja MMs are so quick to get out of lifts?he's SUPPOSED to be a warrior of "Fire and Wind" I see a lot of fire but no wind.
OT: I would love to see my thugs not dieing when dismissed and be able to choose a set appearance for each pet (Also allowing my Demons to keep the name I gave them)
My suggestion for a ranged brawl (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...=MM+pets+Brawl. ) could help with the suicidal nature of some pets. -
Quote:First of all SS is the probably the most time consuming for traveling long distances
Hehe the second fastest travel power is the most time consuming...
In Paragon City - Use roads or run along tram lines to get around.
In Praetoria - Use roads.
In Rogue Isles - Use roads or pipes.
Get hurdle (You won't need Swift anyway...), get Combat Jumping, get Super Jump, do Mayhem missions for free Zero-G packs and Raptor Packs, buy jetpacks, get a special Jump Pack with the Good vs Evil edition.
Every travel power has downsides and upsides
Superspeed - 2nd fastest travel power, low end cost, stealth bonus - Cannot handle vertical movement.
Superjump - 3rd fastest travel power, low end cost - Cannot do well in cramped areas, less control (Have to go up then down all the time, cannot stay high and above everything) affected by -jump.
Fly - Low end cost, safe traveling, lots of control - Slowest travel power, affected by -fly.
Teleport - Fastest travel power, lots of control - High end usage, problems arise with slight lag.
I personally have alot of characters with all the travel powers. All my SS characters have no problems as I have the Jump Pack, use the speed to my advantage (It may be the longest route but my speed still makes it faster than fliers) and I also try to fit in SJ where possible to make the best travel combination. -
My Warshade.
Love the looks, love the costume, love the name, love the powers.
Hate trying to level.
Only level 16 but at the moment I'm not able to take out the Voids/Quantums in solo missions, not able to take out the Voids/Quantums that spawn in open world areas, cannot find a team... ever and cannot stand farming AE to get to a point where I have Stamina and a few more attacks. -
Hmm, if they do this I hope they don't nerf the effects too much (I like crippling single targets/semi crippling a few targets)
-
Making Surveillance pull out the mace would aggrivate Huntsman players.
Also I think most Banes go all melee because Bane gets the strongest melee attacks of all the Soldier builds, meaning that they tend to go Bane because they want a melee based Soldier, if they wanted ranged they could go Huntsman or Crab. -
I think the problem here is the level 24 part...
You have neither the last pet (Oni for the ninjas) nor the final upgrade (Giving out the best powers to your pets) this will severly hamper any chances of understanding the potential of the powerset, take a look at Bots, they are all single target and don't do that much damage pre-32 and after they are one of the highest AoE damage primary (If not the highest) for MMs.
Also a good secondary helps, I find Ninja/Dark is great, wheras Ninja/Pain would be annoying to level up (With the Ninjas taking full damage when they are hit and dieing if it was a strong target) -
Awesome. This will be invaluable during the 13-22 levels in which I end up not getting any primary/secondary powers.
But on the other hand, I now need to find 3 more powers for my MM's to put in (On the ones who took Stamina) -
Yeah, it does seem that there are only 5 people without Ninja Run nowadays (Me included...) but it is still possible to make great builds without Ninja Run or the travel power at level 6 vet reward.
-
This may have been suggested before but as I play alot of Masterminds I thought I'd make a suggestion.
Ranged pets should get a ranged version of Brawl.
Instead of running in to do a melee attack and get a large hit in the face I think that they should get a ranged attack that does half as much damage as the Brawl they currently have but that can be used at range. Animations could be a quicker version of their starting attack.
Either that or remove the Brawl attack from them completely... as it should help their need to get a large attack to the face to be able to continue with their shooting/blasting from range.
Melee pets should keep their higher damage melee version as they should do slightly more damage due to risk vs reward and as they should be in melee range anyway having a ranged Brawl would be uneccesary. -
I agree with this.
It's fairly annoying to be limited in weapons and hairstyles...
I'd like unique Widow only claws (Maybe obtained through Vanguard) since all Claw/ characters can use the widow claws (Minus the spines esque blade on some attacks) Vanguard Soldier only Mace (Since everyone can go Mace mastery now, except Khelds) and new gun would also be nice. Though they would need to look nice and fit with the ATs (Not just giving out energy weapons because everyone else gets them)
Power customisation for all VEATs including colour and Minimal FX (Some people drop one of the Crab powers because it is an awful colour blocking out their costume) -
Well I've been playing a DS/Therm MM in a few 8 man teams and have found:
1) Lots of buffing is boring
2) On a team only the melee AT's need shields (Screw other MM's pets, I'll just AoE heal them later)
Personally I would like to see the short term buffs to be 5 minute buffs with a small AoE with a increased END cost. I started wanting this when I noticed the small ring of fire produced by the first application of therm buffs and when I got all 6 of my pets... -
Thanks for the replies, should be able to level up without any concerns about slots and whatnot.
-
Ok last thing I need to check, is where to get an extra 3 slots for my damage aura from, would taking 2 slots out of health and one out of Stamina be worth it so I can get the 2Acc/2End/2Dam?
-
Thanks for the help.
I got Grounded mainly for the easy -KB and -Immob with the Neg resistance being gravy (I also like seeing alot of large bars in the defence totals...)
How much would the Doctored Wounds set cost? (I'm not a set person... (Meaning I don't know much about sets)) Also I think I read somewhere that the levels don't really make much of a difference in sets, can I get the level 30 version of the set in at level 27 and just leave it?
I didn't put any accuracy in it because it was already at 114% with Focused Accuracy + BF and pre-level 50 I thought I'd need the end more, I was considering trying to get some damage procs in it but am unsure of the prices and where to get extra slots from.
Yeah I realise that now, I forgot that the AV combo needed Ablating and thought it needed either Power/Nimble. I'm going to be replacing Blinding Feint with Ablating in my plan -
So I'm waiting for my server to come back up and I got thinking of a nice concept for a tank I'd like to try.
I have some experience in Dual Blades with having a DB/Regen Scrapper (Started back when /Regen was considered overpowered) but I have no experience in Elec/ (Apart from a few altitis fueled /Elec Brutes for the awesome red lightning (Before power customisation))
I was just wondering if this build would work at all to help level up and earn money towards getting sets (I think I only have about 10-20mill)

I was thinking Teleport because I already have a load of fliers and jumpers (And was sort of hoping for a lightning bolt teleport to come from the power alternate animation thread at some point...) I plan to respec out of Stamina when I get enough recharge for perma-Energize (Or close enough to not need stamina during downtime)
I was thinking that my attack rotation would be Nimble Strike(-res and taunt for in teams)-Blinding Feint-Attack Vitals Combo/Sweep Combo depending on the amount of enemies.
If anyone can see something that is unessasary (Maybe Stamina is? I'm not that sure about Elec/) and maybe can share their experiences of either set to help with the tightness of the build and the defences please feel free to say.
Thanks in advance. -
I've had the docile affect when using Defensive follow.
Caused me much faceplanting in my mayhem mission, what with the targeted ambushes...
I haven't seen too much of the other 2 problems though, but I tend to go into the middle of fights and let my pets take most of the aggro so I can heal them. -
IIRC it is a SoA that uses Wolf Spider attacks (The ones you have pre-24) and some of the Bane Spider secondary abilities.
