    Tea,

the 'bronze table' would be about 470 recipes long, which is probably beyond the scope of usefulness.

It is a lot of work, and I for one have had other demands on my time, in RL and when I do have some 'game project' time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Having said that, the bronze table is about half done now, using color to illustrate uncommon/rare, I'm actually zipping through it much faster than I feared. Helps to cut paste and tweak, and as the sets get longer at the higher levels, the cut/paste gets more efficient.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Most excellent!

All Silvers are "orange", but I'll figure out some way to differentiate the A (rare)'s and B's and will edit the Silver class page.
Maybe a simple "(B)" after each appropriate recipe name and leave the A (rare)'s as is...(while leaving the fields light blue)
  2. Interesting thoughts in here.

Based upon nothing at all but my own screwy mind, I'm anticipating the ability to select one or two powers from another AT and/or one inherent ability from another AT, at some penalty (shorter durations, smaller magnitudes, diminishing returns, etc.).
Which ATs? That will depend on your Rogue path and how committed to the other side you choose to be.

More to the OP, I expect to see new inherents. Dynamic inherents that could change if the player desires (similar to how one changes from Build 1 to Build 2 today, for example).

I finally hit the One Billion influence mark on my main. Here's the obligatory screenshot.

On June 23, 2008, I started with just under 55M influence. I played very casually and applied the specific techniques mentioned in these forums. I never farmed merits or tickets (I've only made two merit rolls and one bronze ticket roll) and my highest level character is SL38.

If I can do it, anyone can.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Well done!

Care to provide an anecdotal on "very casually" and which techniques? ...or at least which technique worked the best for ya.

Not trying to be a PITA, but a little context may help those out there who continue to struggle with the markets and/or blame the wealthy for their woes.
  4. Good lawd! I need to get back to farming regular content most immediately
  5. This weekend I'll do some non-MA farming, solo--loaded for three, with HeroStats up and will report my findings.

FYI - TopDoc has been logging results long term.
  6. I don't have a rule to offer.

A lot of segments in the market are still upside-down since pre-i14, so I've had to re-fam myself with the spreads. Once I peck around a bit, the larger spreads that exist out there between recipes and crafted IOs tend to stick in my mind...and that's where I make a splash.

I'm able to work with multiple market interfaces, so that makes it a bit easier...but it may be worthwhile for you to validate any recipes-to-IO spreads every 5-7 days or so.
  7. 1.) So that I understand, does column A - Melee mean that all of possible Bronzes, 7% of them are Melees? I could re-post my Pool C data in the same format, if that would be of value. Not sure.

2.) When I come across a RIP recipe in my inventories, I'll check to see if it traces back to a Bronze

3.) I'll have some Bronze data for you sometime this week.

    Thanks for the data!

That's "what", not "why". It just seems odd to me that whomever did the cut and paste for the silver didn't do it for the bronze or gold instead.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The beautiful aspect of wikification is that you see something that you want or is missing, you can jump right in and do it yourself. I learned on the fly by using the sandbox and the "view-your-edits-before-you-publish" functionality.

The Silver class has overlap with the Bronze class, so I did Silver first....specifically, the Pool A rares. Since they've been historically in demand, I decided to put them in a graphical table so folks could have an idea in which range they should roll. Also, I suspected that the general population was probably a bit ignorant about the contents of the Pool A rare pool (as their high values cause them to be confused sometimes with the former Pool C), so a graphical representation would be helpful.

Whether related to tickets or not, I decided that the Pool B's weren't worth putting in a table b/c of their market abundance and low value...but I don't "speak for" the wiki, so anyone that thinks a Pool B table should be there should drop a quick note to the admin under "discussion" as a heads up and use the existing format for uniformity.

The Pool A uncommons pool (related to the Bronze class) was a bit much volume-wise for the time that I had allocated to the wiki...which doesn't mean that someone shouldn't volunteer to pick this up as mentioned above.

The Gold class table = Random Rare Recipe table and that link has been provided. I've made the verbiage clearer that the tables are equivalent and removed the (dead) Gold Class table link all together. I see no reason to re-post the table only to give it a different name. Additionally, the admin would probably remove the duplicate content.

    Kitteh,

    I noticed I got a Regenerative Tissue: Endurance/Recharge from a bronze roll.
It was listed as Pool B, but is obviously from Pool A, not that it affects the final table, once we get the Pool Bs in there.

I went and added that single IO for now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Very cool, thanks!
  10. I have had good fortune across the board, but with Pool A rares coming off of seemingly historic lows and Pool Bs still being cheap, I've rolled Bronze these days.

As a.) Pool A rares continue to become rare again, and if b.) one is able to "print tickets" sort of speaking...then glory could return to the Silver Class once again. A lot of desired procs, as well as Acc/Dam and Dam/End from popular sets are in there.
(only Pool A rares shown at this time)

Some extreme and seemingly incompatible thoughts have been competing in my head:

    1) Having an Instant 50 option at character creation (and perhaps for existing characters) would remove all point in 'racing' to 50. It is precedented by Guild Wars. Due to the MA. there is now infinite content for level 50 characters (missions are being published faster than you can run them). maybe the players that would get bored and quit if they had insta 50s are users that you would lose anyway.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd like to see every Vet badge > 60 months reward the subscriber one insta-50 token.
If you use this token then it will cost you an additional month's subscription.

For all others < 60 months...you can insta-50 at the store, but it will cost you 3 months of subscription costs and you can only insta-50 once every 3 months.

The difficulty lies in how this would be rolled-out/activated.

If there was only 1 release date for this then the Markets would suffer Zimbabwe-type inflation and then dry-up in about 72 hours.

    WHY?!

If ONLY I would have had the money to IO out my scrapper. I IO'd out my brute for CHEEAAAP. I'm talking under 500 mill for everything non purple 'sides 2 LOTG's I still need.

    [/ QUOTE ]

As a waaaay-to-the-side project, I've been slotting out my Widonata since late February.
Trying to do it for 750M including purples with no deadline.
I'm only up to 216M spent (minus crafting fees) and I have 14 purples, 2 LotG Defense and 1 Miracle(u) to go
  13. Kitteh

    WHY?!

    [ QUOTE ]
This is all well and good for you guys who have been playing for awhile, but for the new guy (or returning guy) AE was great because it broke the market and the strangle hold the REAL farmers had on it. Now that its not so easy for me to get tickets I have to resort to the market but I never had a bank roll to begin with. Needless to say my toons are not tricked out with IO sets and probably never will.

Dump on the casual player more please? Let the asian (poor asians get a bad rap) continue farming your game and making cold hard cash. Good choice.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Farmers get blamed for everything

Seriously though...this latest market bounce (which is still in progress) was easy to foresee, because not only did the Devs move to (drastically and indirectly) choke supply, but there were a wholllllllle bunch of new 40-50 toons out there demanding recipes. As I and others stated...it was like a very long 2XP weekend.

If you are new or returning then don't get caught up the Vets' profits.
Just be concerned with your own profit margins.
There are still good spreads out there on both sides.
Blue side, I saw 3 very good opportunities in two very popular sets before I left for work this morning.
I left them alone because I went after something else...so have at it lol

Thank you for the insightful response to my post. I see you made it to the 5th word, quite an accomplishment.

Would you like to continue discussing genetics or perhaps we could discuss the main topic of my thread.

a notion I had that ties in with something Positron said about the level cap ("we're not raising the cap but we have something in mind")- side-switchers will probably earn 'reputation xp' by doing good or bad deeds, so you could 'level' your way from villain to hero, and vice versa.

I wonder how long it will take to 'fill up' our rep bars...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Would make sense, I think. Such a sketched out path to level 60 was mentioned in that "blue-sky" marketing survey that was circulating last year.

And hey, where the hell is my [color=orange]moon zone[/color}???

    [/ QUOTE ]

The moon zone is not what you think it is. Very appropriately, it butts up right against King's Row. They decided to utilize that blocked off entrance on the back end of the zone. I just hate to think of what problems will rear their head with it.

Really, I think it's about time th--huh... wha?! Eww, you got orange all over me!!

Just noticed they lowered the merits for recipes price from merit vendors. hmmmmmmm........ stuff cost less merits now. hmmmmmm

    Which?
    All?
The patch notes say nothing of this.

    Care to provide some samples?
    Miracle(u), Decimation D/E and RegenTiss(u)...

Except, maybe, people who aren't using the MA for "fat lutz".

    [/ QUOTE ]

    QFT.

1500 tickets possible per mission is still a lot, and as a time investment if you're 'not-farming' you can still rake in a lot of recipes and salvage (which you get to choose) purchases, more than you would be able to get through normal missions. The only thing you won't be getting are purple recipes.

If it's a challenge map, make the map any size but large, IE: not a farm.

As far as I can tell, the only ones screaming are the farmers. Anyone who is whining about this change and says "I'm not a farmer" is lying as far as I'm concerned.

Edit/PS: I'm not anti-farming, but the Devs have made their stance on this clear. Take the farming back to Taskforces, PI and Grandville.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, anyone "whining about this change" is a farmer according to your mind-reading abilities...and if they say they aren't a farmer then they're lying. lol...it's okay to admit that you're anti-farm. Really, it is.

Anyways, the cap is irrevelant and a nice instance of "Dev-spin".
The question is what ticket amount or range is likely...or normalized.
I suspect they've dropped the control limits across the board in conjunction with a cap.
  19. Posi or Castle maybe just recently stated [in an interview? ...in the local channel during the 5th anniversary celebration?] that they were not certain on how to best merge the markets (something about "we have to be sure we design it right, b/c it can't be undone once implemented").

If the Rogue expansion (which probably has been in development for 9-15 months) includes a merger then I think the Posi/Castle would have used different verbiage just a few weeks ago.

I would love to see a merger, but I don't plan to "turn blue" waiting.

    (oooooo...a double entendre! )

Also, as you can see, in the last 3 days, I've made approximately 400 mil (the outstanding sales will sell within a day, and it's only 3 IOs anyway), and I've only actually checked today since that day. Actual market-time spent in order to clear that 400 mil was approximately 20 minutes. I swear, it really is that easy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So to keep the teary posts to a minimum: the ebil wanna-be's out there -- when comparing their own progress or forecasts -- should first move the decimal to the left a bit

Geting my first toon to lvl 45, I decided to respec to set up set enhancements. Looking them over with Midi, I found that simple invention enhancements gave better bonuses than set enhancements. How are set enhancements better in comparison to the amount you have to invest?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You may be mistakenly mixing terminology.
    Definitely explore Mids some more.

  22. I'm not aware of any consolidated data on the pvp drops.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
I know the Blessing of the Zephyr KB is pool D (TF) and 1 is a Pool B (Mission), but is the 3rd one a Pool A common or Rare? Paragon Wiki jsut says defeat enemies. Curious if I should roll Bronze or Silver to get a good shot at it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The BotZ -KB is in the Pool formerly known as C.
The BotZ range/end is Pool B.
BotZ Range is Pool A (rare).

So either way roll Silver, since it includes both Pool A (rare) AND Pool B.
  24. Bronze - all Pool A uncommons and all Pool A rares; with uncommon outcomes 8x as likely as rare outcomes.

Silver - all Pool A rares and all Pool B; with Pool A rare outcomes 2x as likely Pool B outcomes.

Gold - Pool C and Pool D (previously known as the TF and Trial pools, respectively...now known as the Random Rare recipe pool). The table for these two combined pools is weighed, so that you have a significantly greater chance of a Range outcome than a Confuse outcome.

See here for a close-to scientific experiment on the Random Rare recipe pool.

There are no purples or respec recipes in these pools.
