I haven't scored a purple on a TF in ages.
Many, many months ago, back in early '08, I had 2 consecutive purples drops on the BM map. No inspirations, salvage or enhancements had dropped in between the 2 purples. Looked something like this...

(Supersped over to Spawn #17)

My most peculiar experience with the RNG by far. -
I designed a build (assuming Rad/Fire is a straight port) that gives ~43% melee defense w/o the PvP IO. Still it's expensive as all get-out, of course, but it doesn't leave ya gimped nor does it overslot anything. The only caveat I see is End usage.
If I can remember I'll post it once open beta hits and Mids is officially updated.
I'll have mine 3-boxed with a Sonic defender and a Kin controller.

I guess I'll unload another stack of Celerity+.
I bought them for 5.2M each back in June.
The little Olivers of the world could have bought 3 or 4 of them back then as well.
As crafted, the "last 5" is flush with 50,000,000...and this time I had *nothing* to do with it

Mine is here too for reference. To add insult to the critters' injuries, she will be 3-boxed with a Fire/Kin and a Son/Ice defender.

No purples.
Several sets of Oblits and 2 sets of Blessings drive the overall cost.
I bought most of the Oblits back in June.
Once the market settles down, you could pick this all of this stuff up for 400-600M.
Run some AE arcs and you'll get a few of the ToDs, Blessings, Oblits and maybe the Numina or Miracle as well.

...I do recall peaks throughout the winter now that you mention it. I just can't remember how extreme they were. -

Historically, that's about right, but I'm certain that there are a lot more 50s that need IOs in comparison to the past 2XP weekends...due to AE...so this week's extreme prices may last a bit longer.

I'll be consolidated soon, but for now I have waaaay too many toons across 3 servers (both sides) standing at the market.

Over the next several days, folks will be busy building out their brand new 50s and I'm wholly committed to give them what they need. -
All that lag and rubberbanding that was happening over the weekend...well, that was the weekend crew manipulating the market right there in Production. They too, are getting ready for 2XP weekend.

I can't even really give you an "IIRC..." right now.
All that I've done to-date is to write down the tickets on-hand before and after an AE run...the source of that data is the salvage window.
If I can remember, I'll record and analyze the logs of my runs for the upcoming weekend. -

As an update, I may have discovered something. The person in my 3-box trio who gets 3x trio has always been the second person in the team of 3, due to the order I always invite. By chance, that account client had a rare crash to desktop and when he rejoined, he was person #3 on the team. Now, the new second person on the team is getting the triple tickets. They have been getting triple since they have become #2 on the team, and the old #2 is at #3 now and to normal tickets. I've done 2 or 3 missions this way.
So it could be team position.

I was able to do this with a certain IO recently.
Picked up 34 recipes in small stacks...none over 500K each.
Painted the IO sale history to 15M (up from 6-7M) and sold the remaining 26 or 27 IOs at 20-25M each.
I think the IOs are back down below 10M now, but I'm gonna do it again, if people let me.
