Anyone ever hit the jackpot at another's expense?

Yup.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
Been the jackpot giver on occasion as well.
On new characters I will often set up some sniping bids on crafted lvl 50 IOs. Not quite as huge a payoff, but nice payoffs nonetheless.

Sure, and it works the other way, too - getting multi-million infl recipes for 5K infl.

Yeah, I spent 4 hours farming the arena, got a recipe that some sucker bought for 600m inf! And that wasn't even an accident!

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I think I get more jackpots than I give. . . but it goes both ways.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
I knew the trick to getting jackpots was simply to sell more and not at sell it now prices.
I have recently done more of that and been the recipient of many more jackpots than I have ever paid out myself.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I thought every jackpot was at someone's expense?

I thought that too. ^_^
This morning I'm checking my market characters. With one, I had a bunch of crafted Positron's Blast IOs for sale for, I think I put them at about 4,100,000 each. I don't usually even check what I get for them, but I noticed I'd made a ton of money somehow. Check back through my sale prices... 5 mill for 1, 7 mil for another... 70 million for another.
Whoops!
Thank you, Mr. Anonymous Doner. Your gift is appreciated!

Typo sales have added more to my wealth than I care to admit
The more stuff you put out there, the greater the chance for snagging a typo.
Last week, I got 150M for a 15M (last 5) item.
Repeat Offenders
Not really a typo win..but I regularly hit the jackpot in the sense of someone trying desperately to inflate the price of an IO thats going for 7-8 mil by buying 4-5 of mine for 10 mil without even tryin a lower bid.
Not that I'm complaining.

My first really big market sale was an Impervium Armor crafted IO. Forget which one, now, but most of them went for low 30M range. I listed mine for a bit over 32M, and 2 weeks later sold it for 340,000,000.

The economy is not broken. The players are
I've had people screw up and pay more than they should for my stuff, but never to any great degree. I think my biggest was getting 10 million for a recipe worth 1 million. But I've never made a huge screwup either, so it all evens out.
I recently sold a Brass for 100 million. No way it could have been a typo, I had to wonder if it was part of somebody's influence destruction project, or just giving stuff away.
A while ago, but yep. Anyone know how to scale images with the IMG tag??
Does this count

Not a ton of money but I got 10 times the value of the item.
