Try going to it from ncsoft.com, seems that it doesn't work well when going from another site there

Don't need it on. You can even exemp below the level you got Combat Jumping, as long as you don't go any further than 3 levels under the level of the IO.
See Karma: Knockback Protection page @ ParagonWiki.com. -
Try running a file verification, sounds like somethings corrupt. Failiing that, please post a CoH Helper and HiJack This log.

Please post a CoH Helper and HiJack This log. My first guess would be that your video drivers are out of date, but can't know for sure without those reports.

Quote:This is only for the GameStop pre-order, IIRC.
Gives each character 5 special enhancements. Essentially lvl 20 Dam/Rech IOs with a proc that you can slot al lvl 1. And the proc stops working at (after?) lvl 20. -
I've not been on too much, but I've not seen it. What server(s) are you on?

After looking through a few threads, a few things:
- Try disabling the the cooliris extension if you have it
- Upgrade your version of Firefox to the current version
- Delete any cookies associated with the boards, and clear your cache
From the few threads I was able to find via Google, there were no conclusive solutions... it just seems like the problem went away since there's been no mentions of it since shortly after the boards switched. -

Works 100% perfectly fine for me. What web browser are you using? Do you have any customizations, add ons, weird plugins, etc installed? Any filtering proxies?
It's not a universal problem, so we need to know about your setup to help solve the problem. -
Quote:Easier solution: Rename "Experience" to "Level"!We need between-levels.
We can expand the level cap to 500 in an instant, by upping people's displayed level-numbers with each bar of XP. Of course, powers and slots would only occur on the ones divisible by ten.
Later on, when a lot more fretting about 500 being too low a cap, we can divide the bars into pips, and have a 5000 level cap. Of course, powers and slots would only occur on the ones divisible by a hundred... -
Could you try running the game via vanilla Wine and see if it acts any differently?

Open cmd as an Administrator ("Command Prompt" in Start -> Programs -> Accessories, on Vista/7, right click and select "Run As Administrator").
Once there, type:
ipconfig /flushdns
Then feel free to close the command prompt. Although, that error sounds more like a DNS resolve failure than having a old, stale value in the cache (in which case it'd resolve, but then fail to connect). -
Quite a few combinations can solo AVs. It's quite common to hear about Controllers, Defenders, Scrappers, Brutes, Corruptors, Masterminds and occasionally others.
If you want something that can fairly cheaply solo AVs, I'd take a look at Rad/Sonic Defenders. With a bit more investment, Illusion/Radiation and Bots/Traps Masterminds should be able to handle most all.
Edit: Oops, my bad. I originally said Sonic/Rad, getting the order swapped. -

Check to make sure that your firewall isn't blocking CoH while it's loading, to ask permission to let it through. Other than that, I'm not really seeing anything that stands out (i.e. no stardock, video drivers are recent, etc).

Quote:Heavy uses of binds (lots and lots of keys! What color are the clouds where you live??? Every single person I know in game (that I have asked so far anyways) uses a game pad.....as do I. I cannot imagine using a keyboard and mouse! Ever! Fine for Wow and all it's knock offs, where the pace is slow....but CoH?? I would quit if they got rid of controller support!
).
I'd hate having to use a gamepad... which'd still require me to use a keyboard to be able to use team chat/global chat/tells, and a mouse for interacting with stores, the market, and crafting.
I've used both a keyboard+mouse and controller for most of my life, and while many games I've played with keyboard and mouse would work fine with a controller, there's many, many that'd just be horrible. Any controller based game (not counting the Wii's motion based stuff) could be ported to using a keyboard+mouse fairly well, without major modifications to the gameplay required, but the reverse often can't be the case, especially for entire styles of games (anything click heavy... analog sticks suck when emulating mice).
Different strokes for different folks, and all that... but I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck with a controller with CoX. -
Just to expand on that, the number at the end is what the FPS will be an average over. '1' makes it at 'average' over one second, and higher is longer. I generally go with ~5 seconds, to get a good idea how things are going, trying to ignore any minor temporary blips.

I believe the characters he's talking about are the ones on the trial. He's making sure that he can reinstall the game without risking losing anything on the current trial.

Quote:It's linked to the account. Your graphics settings are the only thing that's stored locally (in the registry). Some of the stuff can be explored from the game to the local system (window layout, chat layout, and binds, standard settings, off the top of my head) but stay remote.
Basically what I want to know is if I uninstall ALL City of Heroes files and reinstall the client from the EU website from scratch, will I lose the character I have already started or is the character linked to the account rather than the physical client data files so when I uninstall the old client data files it wont disappear and will come back when I log in after having reinstalled?
Delete away! -
So the router has to be reset to (generally) fix it? My guess would be the router is defective. Try to see if you can borrow another to check if that's the actual source of the problem.

The version of Microsoft Paint (mspaint) in Windows 7 is actually fairly decent (although cropping still sucks).
If you want more, though, you might want to check out the Gimp (yeah, wonderful name, huh?) and Paint.Net. I've never used Paint.Net, but have heard wonderful things about it. I've used the Gimp a fair bit, and it's UI is fairly similar to Photoshop (in the most primitive, crappiest sense of the word), but it's pretty feature packed for something free (and Free). -
This occurs for me as well. I believe this is actually a bug with the Options system, not your specific system configuration.
-
Since Cedega and Cider are virtually identical, I'm fairly certain that the same applies to the Mac version (it's just done automagically). Remember that this is STILL a Windows only game, it's just that the OS X version has the Windows compatibility layer included with the installer.
