The "-renderthread 1" flag: Is it still needed?
Negative. It became hard coded a while back. CHV will still only utilize 2 cores, however.
Be well, people of CoH.

So no using a "-renderthread 2" flag for 4 cores? ;P
Thanks for the reply.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?
Really? You have to kneecap your rig in order for to play this game under linux? Wow. That sucks.
Be well, people of CoH.

It may be a new bug, but it does seem to be there. Just ran into this myself.
On the other hand, my desktop Linux machine is still faster than my Mac laptop, so it may be worth it.
(I've toyed with the idea of getting a Windows machine to run video games, but right now, the extra attention/effort required to maintain another OS doesn't sound appealing.)
Since Cedega and Cider are virtually identical, I'm fairly certain that the same applies to the Mac version (it's just done automagically). Remember that this is STILL a Windows only game, it's just that the OS X version has the Windows compatibility layer included with the installer.

As the topic says. Is there a reason to keep this flag in my CoH shortcut?
Edit: Should add I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit) with an AMD Phenom quad core.
