First off, don't stand in the flames
(most of the deck isn't in flames). If you still have the Force Field Generator, you should be able to largely just sit next to him without being hit (just don't stay in the Ignite patch if he uses that!). I literally just finished that mission (I saw this thread right before I ran into him down below).
Greens are not the best way to fight enemies. Use purples instead of greens, and you'll use FAR less, and be FAR more survivable. Reds might also help you more than blues for endurance management (and make sure to turn off any travel powers and useless toggles).
(also, he doesn't have the PToD, at least as an EB... and definitely kill his FF Gen the moment he summons it!) -
It might be on this page on Paragon Wiki.

You should contact NCSoft's support (not ask other players for help, which is what this forum is for), on the NCSoft website. It turned up as "Suspected Fraud" because, likely, the account was suddenly accessed from the other side of the world and had a credit card (that was likely already on file on your account?) attempt to be used on it.
If you (well, him, not you, since it's his account) give them all the information and explain the whole situation, they'll more than likely help you resolve it.
Quote:NCSoft does read these forums (the community reps), but, their job has nothing to do with solving billing issues, and this sub-forum isn't intended for asking them questions. The best they could do is tell you to contact NCSoft's support. You do realize that NC Soft does not read these forums? Especially on weekends.
Also, definitely remove the account name! You definitely shouldn't post that to these public boards as it only puts the account at risk of being hacked. -
Quote:It's only a 'teleport' because of game engine limitation (powers can't move you, except by repelling you or knocking you back from the caster).I use MIDs, but I am horrid with it. You had me sold with AoE attack that does knockdown. I cannot figure out how a teleport is a "spring attack" Shouldnt this be in the TP pool? Anyways, thanks.
It's no different than Shield Charge... according to the game engine, you're teleporting to the target... and then summoning a pet. RP-wise, you charge into the group, smashing them with your shield. -
Just a heads up if you use Mids', it currently incorrects report the damage of Spring Attack, showing a value that's way too low (somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/3rd).
-
If you get the +accuracy "temp" power from DFB, you tend to hit fairly well from 1-22 (the point it expires... unless it takes you 168+ hours of play time to get to 22). It's not 95% cap (once Beginners Luck goes away), but, if being just shy of that bothers you, TOs/DOs will get you the last time bit no problem.

Quote:Yes.A new PBAoE, with a Teleport? Is this a variation of shield charge/lightning rod?
Quote:Is it any good?
It's fairly good for a pool attack. For a character with little AoE damage (or would just like more), it's definitely very nice, but not amazing. -

With the free monthly server transfers for VIPs, is it a use-it-or-lose-it dealio (like the old freespecs were), or do they stack with themselves (like the annoying free tailor sessions... you [censored] are trying to drive Icon out of business!)?
Everything I had read before had suggested to me that it was a use-it-or-lose-it situation, but, when I just logged in I realized I had two server transfers listed, even though I haven't bought any in literally years. Did I just misinterpret basically everything I had read, or are the Devs trying to make me question my sanity (if so, mission accomplished!)? -
With beginners luck, the Gamestop 1-22 dual-aspect procs, and temp powers from DFB? Life begins at level 1 for me, pretty much. I used to try to plow past the lowbie levels as fast as possible... but I've definitely enjoyed going from 1-20 twice in a row since the release of Freedom (I'd have made more progress if I played more often
).
I'm about to start doing the First Ward content in earnest on them, and from the little I've already done on my BR/Traps, it's going to be damn good -
Quote:Do this. It's most likely a driver issue, though (which we'll likely be able to identify from the report), I'd guess old drivers for a crappy Intel IGP (I remember someone with old, crappy Intel drivers running into this same issue a year+ ago).Nightgaunt. If you are running windows then download and run CoHHelper and then paste the results here. It will help identify your problem.
Also, since no one said it, there is supposed to be a visual representation, and by 'visual representation' I mean actually seeing your character. -
Quote:You could pick a combo that you think sounds interesting (or a few), then ask for feedback here how it'd do. Really, though, leveling in the low levels is pretty easy.Yeah that's the thing though I have no clue on what powerset works with what >.>
Really the only way you'd have any issue in the low levels is if you tried to solo with a build entirely devoted to ally-support powers, and neglected any attacks/self buffs/enemy debuffs/controls... which is fairly hard to do (you'd have to invest heavily in crappy pool powers, and even that would only get you so far before you were forced to take decent stuff). -
Nope. Heroes have a version, and Villains have a version as well.
It seems to me that the Devs need to do something about Praetoria, it was fairly active at the launch of GR, but, Praetorians can only team with other Praetorians that are <20 (or people that travel to Praetoria). Heroes and Villains both have far better teaming opportunities, with a full 1-50 on their side worth of teaming opportunities in practice. It'd be a shame for all that content and such to go to waste. -
Quote:Except the Epic ATs. Khelds must start in Paragon (no tutorial), and SoA must start in the Rogue Isles (also no tutorial). In effect, there are no hero or villain ATs anymore. Just 14 ATs that you can choose from and elect to play red, blue, or white.
If you've got a character that's stuck, but you like it, you could always go to the tailor, save the costume + powerset customizations, then reroll. You'll lose whatever badges have been accumulated, but you'll be able to level much faster, so no real progress will have been lost. -
-
Level 20 is the only way (or reroll...).

Quote:From in-game, you would type: /maxinactivefps 1If I were to run 2 instances of CoH, I read that it is a good idea to input the following code for the 1 instance that you are not playing:
/MaxInactiveFps - 1
Quote:Next, after I exit that instance of CoH and then start it up again in the future will it be back to normal or will i need to revert it back manually?
Quote:My current Laptop Specs are;
-i5-540m 2.53Ghz (dual core - turbo to 3.X)
-ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series (1GB card)
-4GB of DDR3 1333Hz (upgrading to 8GB same speed in the next week)
-Windows 7 x64
Are these ok to run 2 instances? -
You can only get it through the Paragon Rewards program. It's the top 3 slots labeled 'Tier 9 VIP'.

Quote:Has that door existed on prior maps with that same CoT entrance room? It seems that, after hitting the front door, you should have been given a way-point to that door... as it'd either be completely obvious, or completely obscure. I ended up running all the way back to the end room and exploring, then checking out the lava room (since there's usually a portal there as well). Time ran out for me, but I didn't dieBack at the entrance, when you are facing the door, turn left and there is a door there that opens. There is a bit to get through to the actual exit from there.

Quote:Those are nothing special. They won't help you in detecting where your hot-spots will exist, because you won't know what usage patterns there will be (you'd need an amazing understanding of not only your server, but the client, and the user to predict that with any amount of accuracy). Even in Beta, people don't play the game the same way they do on Live (again, look at my Boresight example- even if it was just a virtual item, it illustrates well enough that results from test and results from live can be totally different), so any data gathered will be presenting a false (that doesn't mean useless) picture.IBM RPT in 2005, 6.1 if I remember right. Lets see...best modern tool? It's speculative, but I'd say my money is on SilkPerformer.
Neither available in 2004. There have been dozens of innovations since 2004.
But you do make a good point. Prediction is still not as good as application.
Those sorts of software are really better for regression testing than finding new and unusual issues... but, if you've limited resources, they can cause you to waste money on 'problems' that wouldn't have been a problem in practice anyways. It's almost more of an art than a science, at this point. -
You mean an official discussion thread? They generally don't create 'official' ones for that sort of thing.
-
2004? What magical new ways to prepare for load are you talking about that are that new, that everyone hasn't been using for a long time? Stress testing is fine and dandy, but stress testing only really works the best if you know very accurately how the servers will be hit. Every time things get changed, that usage model will change, and predicting how it will change is extremely hard (I'm always reminded of when the Invention system was first added... on Test, 'Boresight' was what everyone thought was going to be a very hot item... on live? people were deleting them).

Quote:ParagonWiki is always your friend (note: WIKIA IS THE DEBIL! Seriously, their copy of PWiki is old, unmaintained, and has a history of trying to push malware). Also what are the most updated websites nowdays for someone looking to learn about what all has been added and good all around information?
Quote:What I am looking for is a good electric/?? build that would be suitable for group and solo.
As for max damage? Elec/SD is very good for damage (+Damage from Against All Odds, plus the Lightning Rod clone in Shield Charge), and the survivability should still be fairly decent (and very good if using set IOs). -
Interestingly enough, the Mac Launcher does not have the 'verify' prompt/step after updating. I was actually going to check it to see what'd happen if you pressed "No"... but I never got asked after updating!
