how to defeat Captain Castillo on the Helipad

I have tried for three times now to defeat the not-so-good Captain Castillo on the Helipad. I am at level 29. He is at lavel 28. I have a full stock of Energy and Health inspirations. He keeps whipping my ***...especially when he sets the Helipad ablaze...is there a trick to beating him? Can anyone give me a little advice here?

Try pulling him off the helipad and into the water.

I never did that mission, but if he isn't significantly different from his Faultline arc version... Force Field drones he summons are buffing his defenses quite significantly, so try to take them away as quickly as you can, or, if you can, confuse them, so they would buff you instead.

As an AV he has purple triangles, even downgraded, so all the general rules for fighting enemies with purple triangles apply: don't count on mezzes other than immob, try to hit him with -regen and-res, if you have such powers, or get help. Castillo is a tough customer, so if your powersets aren't known as AV-killers there's nothing wrong with not being able to solo him.

First off, don't stand in the flames (most of the deck isn't in flames). If you still have the Force Field Generator, you should be able to largely just sit next to him without being hit (just don't stay in the Ignite patch if he uses that!). I literally just finished that mission (I saw this thread right before I ran into him down below).

Greens are not the best way to fight enemies. Use purples instead of greens, and you'll use FAR less, and be FAR more survivable. Reds might also help you more than blues for endurance management (and make sure to turn off any travel powers and useless toggles).

(also, he doesn't have the PToD, at least as an EB... and definitely kill his FF Gen the moment he summons it!)
