Yes, but, the reward tokens wouldn't be front-loaded. You'd get each reward token in that specific month, even though you paid for them all at once at the start (the Devs originally wanted them to be front loaded, but due to an issue with billing they haven't gotten it set up yet).

Quote:Only after you buy the set. You also have to buy costume pieces before you can see them on that screen as well.Using the power customization option screen during character creation should show you the different animations for each power.
(going to beta can get around both of those, though) -
Quote:When in doubt, check the poster's history. His posts in that other thread on staffs should make it patently clear what his position is.

Quote:Satire != lie. Having any knowledge of (1) CoH's general population, (2) Staff's performance, and (3) Staff's current massive popularity would make it obviously not the case.
Because unless I know someone is a liar I generally believe they are telling the truth. YMMV, but that is far more pleasant than thinking that everyone is a liar.
Quote:Besides, I read the Rude Tells thread and some of that stuff makes his story seem plausible. -
How can people possibly believe PleaseRecycle is serious?!?!?!

Do you mean things other than running fast, jumping, flying, and teleporting? The devs have dropped a few hints about some new forms of travel powers being worked on... but it's likely we won't know about them (barring any being accidentally leaked) for sure until they slap us in the face with it, nor when.
I wouldn't be shocked to see some featured in the Origin Power Pools possiblymaybe coming (one pool's name was leaked on beta for a while). -
Quote:Your first power pick is at level 0 normally as well: in the character creator! (you have to choose either the t1 or t2 from your primary). Also, when first starting an alternate build you start at level 0 as well (seriously!).
For instance, the first level that the respec shows isn't 1, but 0!
Quote:Near the end of the respec you'll find that they've consolidated level slotting so that one might think that you get 6 slots open at levels 33 through 45. It changes back to 3 slots for levels 47 and 49.
Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a slightly different presentation of the same exact information. -
Does CoH's engine even support dynamic lighting? I don't believe it does... definitely not when outside Ultra Mode.
-
Did you try raising the contrast on your monitor? I've not done a huge amount of Dark Astoria... but everything was quite easy for me to see.
-
Is the problem perception (the mechanic), or that the game itself is simply too dark?
-
Sounds good to me, although it would probably be a coding nightmare, in addition to... well... the rewards for PvPing being total crap. Changing it so 'rep' wasn't something that decayed, removing the low cap, and making it so rep could be used to directly buy PvP IOs would go a long ways to making the rewards not seem like a joke (farm or bust atm, basically).
Quote:This was on a SR Scrapper, and I only realised what was happening after I had been pushed away from pretty much everyone else. Because of how the map was cropped out of Perez Park, I got shoved into a niche between the "blue wall" and some trees where no-one could find me. And Break Frees seemed to do nothing against Telekinesis. -
Quote:Nerf titan weapons!Staff is just fine regarding damage. The nerdrage from some corners of the forum is because it is not the next Super Strength or Titan Weapons. It has more than adequate damage and plenty of utility.
(wait, I thought TW's damage wasn't exactly great?) -
I've not looked closely at the numbers, so I'm not sure of the OP's premise is correct or not, but power sets should be in line with each other performance-wise. You shouldn't be put in the position of having to choose between performance and concept.

Pre-i13 PvP sucked. Post i13 sucked even more.
The only thing i13 PvP really had going for it was the fact that it mostly followed the same rules as PvE. About the only difference was mez suppression (IIRC). i13 PvP completely changed the game, adding a ton of new rules (heal decay? mez changes? defense changes?), so the barrier for entry was raised even higher.
Of course, I've yet to find an "RPG" with PvP that I didn't think sucked horribly. I remember playing Aion for a while... and having one time when I was trying to travel through a zone (ugh, travel time!) that the other side had decided to raid (it wasn't a PvP zone like the Abyss, just a regular one)... right when I got in, I got ganked because our fort was full of their guys... and every time I'd respawn, I'd get to see the "guards" around the respawn point laying on the ground dead (whoops!). Basically, I just had to make a mad dash out of the fort as fast as I could, hoping none of them noticed I was there. -
Hopefully the Incarnate changes don't make Mids' even worse on x768 screens... It's already annoying as hell to try to manage. All those buttons on the top right should be moved into the menus, not taking up valuable screen realestate (and the $NAME : $ORIGIN $AT portion should be moved to the title bar).

I'm looking to respec an old Spines/SR Scrapper, and get it to the Incarnate Soft Cap (with the help of Barrier's full duration +5% def) and would be interested in any feedback anyone has (doubly so since I've not planned a build for an Incarnate yet).
The primary goal was to soft cap, and then get a good amount of recharge (~perma hasten seemed a good spot). I also wanted to keep the cost reasonable, so I didn't bother with Purples or PVP IOs (besides the one +Def IO). Thoughts?

Because you're getting more now for free than pre-Freedom... and that's not even counting what you can get from the monthly stipend.
-
Except rolling many, many, many new alts does not help me to be able to play through any of the Dark Astoria content.
-
There's pretty much always someone breaking out from upstairs (or is it downstairs?).
-
My solution is to the problem of getting a character to play in Dark Astoria is apparently to try to roll a: brute, corruptor, tanker (hahaha no), scrapper, and a peacebringer (it might be nice once I get it to 50 and perma lightform... except for the fairly lackluster damage khelds have)...
I'm thinking the real problem is the complete and total lack of SG/etc to regularly play/team with. -
I'd definitely recommend nVidia over ATI if you play CoH (which, I would imagine is a safe bet
), simply because ATI has historically had far, far more issues with CoH compatibility than nVidia has. Driver compatibility is often total crap.
Quote:1080p really isn't high resolution... especially for such a physically large monitor.27 inch 1080p led monitor - etc. With such a large monitor, I'm running at a really high resolution -
... is my damn altitus!
How do you deal with it? Generally, I just embrace it... but I actually want to run through the Dark Astoria story line (solo, not on a team where you can't actually see it!), and I don't feel any of my current 50s are adequate for soloing incarnate content (and for many, regular end-game content).
Close to a month ago I rolled a StJ/EA Stalker, which had been awesome (got to 33 in no time at all), but then I rolled a Demons/Time MM... and then I rolled a Dark/Dark Dominator... then, last night, I was looking into rolling a Corruptor!
So, at this point, I'm wondering how I'll ever actually get to go through Dark Astoria!
