What, nothing about the 'i17 gfx degradation on integrated Intel GPUs' that Tex quoted?

Yeah it thinks the cityofheroes.exe file is a virus. Happened to me 10 days ago when patching Test too. I had to disable NOD32 for patching.
If I do a quick scan of the Coh Folder:

Thanks for the link, seems they're working on an fix.
If they just stop supporting the card properly (no matter how 'well' Intel handles OpenGL or not, fact is that now the game looks like garbage when it looked very nice before i17, on the same computer), I'll sadly unsub. Already delayed preordering GR because of that, the day I was gonna preorder I ran Test and saw how crappy the gfx became. -

See post #26 on this thread, I related about the number issue. Not only damage but pool powers, some heal powers (I think only the +max hp ones like hoarfrost and earth's embrace) and set bonuses too. But only on trollers and blasters.
My Fire/kin with EE turned on has 45k hp and does 12k damage with Seismic Smash and double stacked Fulcrum lol
PvP mode: Flurry slotted + Aim + BU = 19593 damage -
When will the problem with Intel GPUs be fixed? I already reported this on Test, and now I wonder how long will I have to live with crappy game graphics because you guys changed the setings?
You can see pics comparing i16 and i17 here. The 'crappy' screenies are from the Test Server but I just logged in live and it's the same thing, no matter how much I up my gfx settings.
I hope this gets fixed soon.

Making a Mastermind Build...selected 2 tier 1 epic power, and it wasnt unlocking the tier 3 power.
The Tier 3 would unlock if I selected a tier 2 power however.
EDIT: Well if St0n3y's right (I haven't taken a toon to the 40s since I returned) then Mace Mastery is NOT ok lol. I can select two tier1 powers and then the tier 3. -

NOD32 deletes the file and gives a warning, and the updater gives me the same message you get. Only way I see is to disable antivirus protection while patching. -

The weird thing is, I can enable the protection and run the program normally. NOD32 Smart Security Suite would never let me run the program because it has real time file monitoring, at least it would alert me I'm running an infected file. It only showed up when I updated or when I do a scan like above. -
Ok only Blasters and Trollers are bugged in my install (I did download from the site, but still don't know if I'm the only one having problems). And I noticed more, my def is higher on the fire/kin build because a lot of numbers are bugged on those two ATs:
- Damage numbers are augmented. For example, it says Dominate does 467 dmg. I know it's not a decimal error because its base is 30.6 iirc. Flares (Blaster) does 518 base damage, Inferno 3878... All the Blaster/Troller powers are affected here.
- Weave is giving me base 5% def on Blasters and Trollers (same as Tankers, who have the highest values for this), that is why my firekin has higher def, I don't have Weave on him but I have Maneuvers, and Maneuvers is giving 3.5% base def on those two ATs (same as defenders which have the highest values).
An old issue remains btw - Stalker Patrons show double damage, as if they were used from hidden status (or crits), like Dark Blast doing 111 instead of 55.5, I didn't expect it to be fixed now but just to let you know.

Hollows, this happened to me too. And I use NOD32, not AVG.
When I patched Test, I'd get the error - 'file cityofheroes.exe - probable unknown virus - file deleted and moved to Quarantine' - (actually it was unknown Neuper, Heurer virus or some name like that). I had to disable anti-virus protection, patch test and then went to play normally, even with protection up later.
It happened again today when patching the live client (had already downloaded it too). Same message, cityofheroes.exe deleted. Did the same thing, it updated, I reactivated the virus/spyware protection and it's all fine now. But if I do a virus can it deletes the cityofheroes.exe file again.
I think the file may have code that resembles malware of something like that.
EDIT: Ok here's what happens when I do a scan of the CoH folder with NOD32 (same for Cohtest which I downloaded 1 week ago, my computer was totally 'clean' before in a general scan). And yes, the program does delete the file, I just unchecked the option to show the screeenie, because if I delete the file and re-download from the updater I get the same error, so it isn't MY file that may be infected, it's the one in the servers we all download:

BTW two things I noticed so far:
1) HP set bonuses are bugged. For example, Luck of the Gambler is giving 778 HP on my fire/kin (I believe it was 1/100 of that before). I think this applies to +maxhp powers too. Earth's Embrace activated on the fire/kin shows that he goes from his 'base' 9k hp (9k because of the bugged set bonuses) to 45k hp.
EDIT: This seems to affect controllers and blasters only - I tested making new ATs of almost all of them (except VEATs and EATs) and the bonuses seem normal. The +maxhp Blaster power Hoarfrost is also affected.
2) On the same fire/kin my def was 45.2% to s/l and now it shows 49%ish, I couldn't find what was changed. My /SR, /nin and /shields toons show the same defs they had before.

I'll guess I"ll go after the Ouro ones for now, easy enough to log out from there and it's a fast load when you are sleepy and just wanna logout. Most of my toons have the WW/BM thingy already and I can always buy the transporter if I don't have it.
The rez one seems nice btw, although with insp combining it's less of an issue to revive someone.
- Black_and_Blue, do you know the numbers for the combat shield and the +recharge one?
- Fenrisulfr, what's the recharge on the webnades?
I'm asking because paragonwiki has no numbers, CoData temp powers page is messed up so I can't find any numbers. If anyone could tell me where I can see them I's appreciate it.

Super Reflexes truly is the Golden Fox of powersets.
But don't worry. I'm sure you'll console yourself with Sheid Charge, +HPs, +Damage, -Damage and your team buff (as if you need a team, but hey, they're good for showing off what you can do).
The Claws/SR is already 'godlike'. Both have the same slotting (SOs + Steadfast unique + Kismet, but my shielder won't have CJ till 49). The fm/sd is around 24% def to all and the /SR 33%ish to melee/ranged, I said she's 'godlike' because with 1 little purp she's already at the softcap. Sure not for AoE but honestly I haven't missed AoE so far. As I never missed having non capped AoE on my 50 em/nin Stalker (tho the SR will have capped AoE at the end). Sure I still don't have 95% ddr (no Lucky, no Evasion) and I get all the nice things you mentioned with Shields (she kills stuff so fast with AAO, I can tank for teams with insps/support, I'll get SC in 5 levels).
But my /SR will be indestructible, since unlike the shielder I managed to fit Aid Self and Tough (the /sd will have tough only with the +3 def IO because of Blaze Mastery and the extreme recharge - 83% - without purple sets). And well I could have 95% DDR on the Shielder if I took Body Mastery and Grant Cover. Or not getting GFS but I don't wanna skip it -
Sooo what's your favorite day jobs?
Haven't looked into them much since my return, most of my toons have the WW transporter one.
What's the ones you find worth going after and why? The Ouro one seems interesting, what kind of recipe can you get with that?

Are you going for defense or max recharge, besides the usual for /FA (+max hp, +recovery)?
If so, what type of defense do you want? I'd go for melee, a bit of ranged (a bit means over 20%).
Do you need a travel power? You kinda need to give us something.
And since you're approaching Epics, I'd go Soul Mastery because Gloom is awesome and compliments Elc's poor st damage very well. Darkest Night can be useful too. -
I wonder why you're asking for more mez protection.. You did take Active Defense at 10 didn't you? Or at least at 16? With 2 rech SOs it already protects you against anything (even the rarer ones like fear, confusion, repel that many sets don't have protection against)... Are you having mez problems?
But yes, Owts adds more mez protection besides +recovery, +HP and some resistance to all but psi. This extra mez protection would only really matter in cases like Romulus' mega stun when he rezzes in the ITF (I think, because I don't know the exact mag of his stun, but a granite tanker with rooted - 'double' mez protection - can ignore it). Ghost Widow would hold you anyway in the STF if you don't have clear minds stacked.

You mean /ElA, we normally use /EA for Energy Aura (Brute/Stalker powerset) so that's there is no confusion
I'd say the most synergistic are dark melee (ElA has such a long-recharging heal, plus ElA makes tight builds and pairing it with DM you can skip some DM stuff like Dark Consumption) and katana (or broadsword) because you can have very early melee defense. And if you want a DPS machine go DM, but DM has no significant AoE.
That said I made a DB/Elec and I love her, good ST, good AoE, and all the awesomeness from elec (power sink, reflexes, getting a LOT of toggles like maneuvers/weave/tough and not worry about endurance...). TIGHT build tho.
And yes, sets with long recharges (don't know why you put DM as long recharge, was it because of Soul Drain?) benefit a lot from ElA, especially the end intensive ones. My Stone Melee/Elec brute who could run out of endurance even with speed boost and attacks only slotted for endred and acc had her blue bar problems solved after I got P. Sink, even before I slotted it. -
Follow up is badly slotted in your build, it needs acc and recharge.
And all the other things mentioned.
Perhaps you can make some use of my planned build, it's for a scrapper so you won't get physical perfection, but you can still take F. Acc for slotting gaussians.
I really like this build because I managed to fit Aid Self and cap defs AND get Tough (ok Aoe def is at 44.9% but if I used lvl 50 IOs I'd cap it), plus lots of +maxhp, regen , decent recharge.
The defense power order may look weird to you because scrappers get Evasion at 35 and you'll want it early because it's your aggro aura. Also because I built thinking on having melee and ranged def at 40% by level 30 so I pushed AoE later, but just swap the powers as you want if you like the build.
Oh, and if you have ninja run, ditch the travel power unless you need the 1.25% ranged /1.88% AoE def from post-nerf Botz. Hurdle + NR is already great. Hurdle+ NR + Quickness is awesome.

Oh sure Fiery, I got a lot of 'training' on using/keeping insps yesterday with all the +1/x4 soloing craziness with SOs especially on my fm/sd (b/c of no self heal). And yes I died on the Mender Lazarus TF because I abused of it (vampires hitting quite often me at 68% def to all, wth.... yeah I know the cap is 45%, as I said I was overusing them).
And SS is a weird powerset eh, you get KO Blow at 8, think 'ZOMG awesome' and at 12 you're feeling meh again until Footstomp. I guess that's why my SS/WP was parked at 28 and the /Fire was at 24 for more than a year - but at least /Fire had his damage aura (love them) since 22.

Very nice Smurphy, was just looking for this after being able to solo a lot of +1/x4 stuff on SO'ed 25-30 toons because of the insp rain. This will save me a LOT of clicking, thanks.
EDIT: Unfortunately I can't see your video. Veoh doesn't allow people in Brazil, I'm sure other countries are restricted too, so perhaps if you want everybody to view them... Youtube or something (wegame works here but I find it so slow even on a 6mb cable connection)

Nice, I always read that SS/Fire needs 'serious IOing' to be effective, so I was wondering if I needed to have a crazy build if this one I can afford would work.
And yeah, I hear ya about insp munching. I was soloing this Brute (at level 30) at +1/x4 w/ bosses on a Carnie map and doing fine. Later I assembled a 8-man team and they were good, really, but we got trounced on another Carnie mish, including the Mace/WP, because insps didn't drop like rain for me. Then we had to use stratagy and stuff and did well but still...
Same thing today, Shivan ouro mission with a 28 fm/sd scrap +1/x4/bosses who was always at like -10 defenses because of the debuffing. And no self heal. It was cake because of the insp rain too.
This is kind of a way to pl yourself lol. I'll look for smurphy insp combining binds, I know he has it somewhere in some corr thread.
