Issue 17 Update Contains a Virus?

I got home from work today, booted up my home computer, and launched City of Heroes. It started to apply the Issue 17 update, when my antivirus blocked it, saying the Issue 17 update contained the NewHeur_PE virus?!

I'm using ESET Smart Security 4.2 on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I've been using ESET products for the past several years without any problems. Any ideas? As it is now, City of Heroes is stuck trying to apply the Issue 17 update, which ESET Smart Security continues to block as a virus.

Yeah it thinks the cityofheroes.exe file is a virus. Happened to me 10 days ago when patching Test too. I had to disable NOD32 for patching.

If I do a quick scan of the Coh Folder:

And this alert showed up while I was playing:

This is a false positive, I think it is called. My AVG, paid version, gave me the same problem.

This was a known problem in Beta that made it live.

Lisa-Thinks this needs a fix.

yep, false positive. Had the same thing happen when I ran the internet version of ESET yesterday. In that case it skipped my main folder's contents, but claimed the exe in the test server folder was infected.

Petition in game, give the virus name and the name of your anti-virus. That way Paragon Studios can resolve the false-positive issue.

The first time I logged in after patching my AVG gave me a warning listing the cityofheroes.exe as known malware, but it hasn't happened since that first time.
