Yea min/lieut/boss classes will spawn in normal mobs eb/av wont. It would make sense that higher than 3 people makes bosses spawn in the mission, i would suggest making an EB. which might make it slightly tougher encounter but at least if you then removed the "boss" rank character it wouldn't spawn in the normal mobs.

I sat the other morning creating a rather long epic tale (using the accumulative knowledge i gained from making several others and seeing the feedback). This was the one if you like. The one i wanted to keep and use.
After several long and stressful hours i managed to write and flesh out the arc ready for publishing. I finally hit the button... And an error appeared: "Level range invalid". After extensive testing i've come to find that there is no possible issue with the level range (no errors, mobs or range clashes in any missions) and to double check and pinpoint the issue i deleted each mission in separate copies to try and find the problem arc only to find that removing them did not remove the error.
Now i'm stuck with the best of my work, and its unpublishable. Nice. -
I'd also like to see if there is a list on what recipes there are to drop (:

Seems to me that correctly knowing when and how to use certain Insps are part of the skill set needed in PvP.

Spamming greens before you die is not skill thank you. I agree with donna that insps are for nubs. If a controller "CONTROLS" you and you don't have mez protection tough, wait for it to wear off and kick his [censored]. Since, at the moment they don't stack like that used to.
That said, even with mez protection i still get held/immob at times but thats ghay [censored] grounded for you. -
If anyone needs a hand with these feel free to give me a shout. Esp you donna im only a global away

Sounds good i missed the last one ): but i'll try and attend this one
...the question is... good... or evil -
I have several characters that need the badge. Send a tell at @kindeller with info or let me know here (:

This system (mission architect) is being used for users to level their characters to level 50 in the shortest amount of time possible.
This does not give any user ANY kind of advantage over other players, or create conditions that detriment other play's experience of the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
are you serious? lol so having a level 50 3 days into playing a game isnt game breaking? it gives people an advantage over others because it shouldn't be like this.
Or are you neglecting to mention the fact that the reason people could get to 50 in 3 days was due to a bug with xp rewards with a particular NPC?
Your "facts"? arn't facts at all. They are pure assumption, simply because you do not know what PS knew before. Or that they knew how the public (not just those who decided to pop onto test to get a bash at the new issue) would react and ultimately abuse the system.
If you do any sort of scientific testing or have done in your life you'll know the variables that effect any experiment of recreation must be exactly the same to get accurate results and this is the same for testing an issue. without putting it live you'll never get the same results. and often it just takes time for something like a bug with rewards to be worked out... In that respect releasing it early was a good decision. (That said they had the reaction timing of a tortoise with arthritis).
It might not have been found there and then in the testing stage but it was noted later in live and has been fixed. Farm all you want now.. tell me if you find another good mob to farm until then its hilarious watching those noob farmers die from inability to rely on the good old Rikti.
This is my last post on farming and anything related to that side of MA because I'm tired of it (: -

- I DO have a bots/ff mastermind on my second account. Is using it with my primary account squishy corruptor an exploit? If I play against mainly or ONLY melee foes and that MM keeps them from getting close and/or harming me? Is it an exploit if I target missions that let me do it? Or if I use the MA to make grinding, boring missions that takes ages?
No you pay for both accounts thats just tactics like if the other char was a player its just tactics and nothing more.
- What about badge hunts? Is it an exploit to stick your character in a mission, getting sappers to work you over while you watch another episode of Heroes? If you go down 'resting' taking damage while sleeping or going off to work?
Thats just lazybut not exactly an exploit its a tough one tho but its been done for ages and nothings been said so take it from that
[/ QUOTE ] -
At the moment a troller is a lot more effective than it previously was thanks to the changes. fire/rad is a tough set that was a good set even before the changes, that probably excel in the current set up too.

I have to disagree tho with the comm officers, exploiting is using the game in a way that shouldnt be. Very few exploits involve hacking the game, most are overlooked pieces of code that allow something that shouldn't let me lay down an example or two.
Com officers where an exploit because the experience given for defeating them was that of a lieut (even tho they where minion classed). An overlooked piece of code that cost alot. it is now fixed. no hacking was involved but it wasn't as intended. Abusing this fact by setting up maps full of only this mob type is a clear exploit. No one cant deny that.
A while back i stumbled upon a gap in Faultline that allowed you to go below the map. This was the way the developers released it! but it still doesn't excuse the fact that despite knowing where it was it shouldn't be used to go somewhere your not allowed.
In my opinion, we are going to see a lot of people playing the ignorant card. "Oh i didn't know". Which with a bit of luck the GM's will not take as an excuse. Anyone that played those maps of Rikti knew full well that they where farming. If not the first or second time they run it. The next few they sure caught on.
Things that are not exploits, are things that experience teaches you. Things that veteran players would know to do that other wouldn't. For example herding.
My two cents anyway -
Are you completely ignoring the fact that this event already spawns in some zones? or just oblivious?
Counter reasons for all your arguments:
1. Not if its a mall, and anyway. If your there to play it would you really fly over it? ... you can fl over any content you wish its not really a valid point o.O
2. Apparently not, see zone event.
3.Who cares, part of the fun of the zone/event as multiple people have described is that there is a power suppression, did you read the thread at all or just guess based on the title?
Its fun because its different a situation many are familiar with and would give something new and exciting for us to do. (Please make it level 50 a la end game content)
Anyway i am extremely enthusiastic about the idea. Especially as its a perfect way to make DA a little more populated! .. well populated *loads shotgun* Bring. It. on.
P.S C.o.c.k.i.n.g a weapon isn't inappropriate language. Damn non contextual filters! -
THe answer has been said, its a chain reaction:
[*]Reward rolls, rare salvage and enhancements have all become far too easy to get through farming tickets at MA.[*]Prices of the said items drop on the market, without demand...supply is in surplus and doesn't sell..[*]Everything else like common salvage is all thats needed to be purchased will sore in price. -
[ QUOTE ]
If that would ever happen half the players would leave the game in a blink of an eye. I think its kinda wierd how they can miss such a big issue with MA after all the testing put into it. Either the testers are complete morons or NC just hoped they wouldnt find the bug. Because thats what it is a bug.
[/ QUOTE ]
OK first off, the only "bug" or exploit in the game was com officers giving the xp they shouldn't. That was no ones fault for its presence, easily missed. However its definitely someone's fault for abusing it to level. FIxing that and banning/punishing anyone who used that for personal gain.
Boss, leiut farming is not so much an exploit as its getting nerfed with the patch. there was no real exploit as that was mostly just bad balancing.
Meh i'm happy the firm stance is being taken but they really are treading on soft ground with the banning warning. They make a wrong ban and there will be problems... -
Its just the format that fraps saves them in for best quality capture, normally fraps is for capturing raw footage which is then processed and saved in a movie format (divx, mpg, avi etc) if your not gonna work with it just a simple conversion would be suffice

Well part of the answer is that the main Farmers are no longer farming in the main game (they are farming in MA) this means we loose salavge from the market as well as some "bronze" level recipies whihc are now becomming as rare as some salavage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Surely this is untrue, As it stands it actually easier to get both of these items including silver and gold rewards. (thanks the ridiculous amount of tickets you can get). If anything i'd imagine that the prices would drop seeing as most people have no need for the BM or farming normal salvage/rewards anymore. I never used set IO's because it cost far too much now i can collect and gather them easily using the MA ticket reward system. This has cut out the BM/WW all together for me and having to deal with tight-arsed sellers
In that respect *two thumbs up MA* -
No it really isn't a veteran reward then which defeats the purpose... There's "reward packs" and you can go buy them all you want. Leave the veteran rewards ...for veterans. doesn't that make sense? lol :S

Welcome back (: and not really, just depends where you go. have to find people these days as damz said they are all hidden away doing things ^^

Just a heads up TH, When you come from playing mxo to this theres a big change. For one the community is alot larger. Most coalitions can outnumber the amount of public people that mxo held. Therefore its hard to define things like big players. Thats not to say you'll get names and faces that are quite vocal like you get anywhere. But generally there in large numbers and not one or the other is anymore important. The same can be said for SG's there are large ones there's small ones but its hard to say which ones are "major powers"(although its a little easier to distinguish) . That said there is a VG/SG table that counts prestige (money for your SG) and ranks them according to that.
Anyway i'll be glad to join you on defiant as none of my Characters there have SG/VG's (:

I have been playing MMOs for years, my last being Age Of Conan, so I am used to communities of a larger size.

Well COH isn't like that, either due to size or just people arn't as damn competitive as MXO was.

Surly swift could take run speed IO's o.O or is that a no due to it being auto/PP power?

<--- is getting slightly fed up listening to people moan now
The games in a right state i think they get the picture. They're working on it. slowly, bit by bit. the coming update thats on test should make a fair dent in farming. Not including the yet to come.
Edit: I'd also like to point out how exactly you judge how enthusiastic someone is about what they do? In all seriousness... You've, if your lucky met them once, possibly spoken to them a couple of times. (which were no doubt partially prescript and extremely prohibited). Other than that your basing it on what... Whats released? The issues? -
Testing
A lot is to be said for "testing" an arc, First off there is no incentive to test or help test an arc for someone. Its damn hard to get a team together and most people temp-publish it anyway so people will join then remove/edit. Perhaps some ticket reward or alternative incentive to test arcs.
Testing tools:
Since the point of testing an arc is to see if particular features work, it would benefit (especially those that cant find a team to help run thought a 5 mission arc just to test the end) to have in the architect options something along the lines of complete all objectives, complete "rescue" objective etc. Note that for obvious reasons any badges associated with completing an objective would not be awarded for the forced completion. Maybe even a force mission completion would be suffice. (perhaps similar to the force mission completion we have on mission contacts) -
Well as far as i was aware... when it comes to a Mac the app folder holds everything to do with the program (unless otherwise stated, eg shared info)So it would just be a matter of drag and drop. Pc however tends not to, the good news though is that generally the information thats not been written in will be added when you try to run the game. ...hopefully.

Definitely an investment no matter what way you look at it. Exciting stuffs
