If the Praetorian version of Marcus Cole (Tyrant) gained his powers in approximately the same way as the Primal Marcus Cole (Statesman), is there a Praetorian Stefan Richter?
Why is the CoH Earth considered the Primal Earth? I mean, how do we know it's the default? Or is this just a egocentric assumption that's used in-game? -
Beats me. But I can't recall the last commercial for any MMO that I saw on TV.
Mind you, I don't watch that much TV....
Side note: Whatever (if anything) ever happened with the in-game advertising? -

I'd laugh (evilly, of course) if Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning wasn't available for, say, a week, after GR released.

Hrm... I have an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT card. I suspect I won't be playing Ultra Mode with it. (I'm fairly hardware clueless, btw.)

Quote:I would assume it's based off which side your archetype belongs to, rather then what side you are when you hit 50.I wonder if I roll a Mastermind, and make it a Rogue and hit 50 which epic would I unlock. I'm thinking VEAT, but I wonder. Mechanically it makes sense, but from a story perspective not so much.
But you never know. -
I looked under the options menu but didn't see anything there, so here I am, asking...
Is there a way to have a sound play when receiving a tell or a SG chat message? -
Dang.... that is some nice work there.
-
Unfortunately, there are no "mummy wrappings" options for heads, chests, sleeves, or pants.
-
Hahaha.... sorry. Honestly, they could make the rewards good, and people will switch sides anyway, just to collect all the badges on the other side that they can get, or to play Masterminds on the hero-side or whatever.

Hrm. I died a few times doing it, but my level 8-10 (he leveled twice) Dark/Dark Defender has actually gotten all the "Supernatural Event" badges (banners and giant monster), and the Zombie Invasion badges, and I'm working on the Trick-or-Treat defeat badges (I think I have a couple of them already).
Is it slow work? Yes. Is it impossible? No.
You have to have coordination with your teammates for the banners. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it. If you all try and do your own thing and don't support one another, you're going to get frustrated. If you work together, you'll do a lot better. -
Anyone who drinks from the Fountain of Zeus at the Well of the Furies would become an Incarnate.
There's just a couple problems with that, though.
1) No one's sure where it is, except for Statesman and Lord Recluse, and they aren't telling. (Statesman for ostensibly altruistic reasons, and Lord Recluse because he doesn't want to have to deal with anyone else on potentially the same power level as him.)
2) The cave that the fountain was in collapsed after Stefan and Marcus drank from the well. So, probably a bit hard to get to, even if someone knows where it is (see point 1).
Also, keep in mind that even if a character did drink from the Fountain of Zeus, Statesman and Lord Recluse have easily 80+ years of experience in using their powers. Also, there's no guarantee of what god/mythological being you would be linked to. -
On the Dual Pistol ammo types (standard, cryo, incendiary, chemical)... Is that something you choose at character creation, or that you can switch whenever you want to?
Also, if you're on standard ammo, and you switch to cryo (assuming you can switch on the fly), does it change all of your Dual Pistol attack powers to using cryo?
Also, from the video clip of the keynote address when they were showing off Dual Pistols... what was with the doves? (Yes, I get the reference, I've seen enough gun-fu movies... but was that just something the Devs put in to the demonstration to be silly, or can we expect random dove appearances when using certain powers in Dual Pistols?) -
I just watched the 28 minute youtube clip of the keynote address at HeroCon, and it does look like there have been some small adjustments to character models (and they mention during the keynote address that they plan to keep improving it, so the stuff you see in the clip is a minimum of what we're going to get as far as "ultra mode" goes"), including making reflective surfaces on character models. (I.e. you can see things reflected in someone's mirrored visor.)

I have a Trick Arrow/Archery Defender in the mid 20s, and I don't have much of a problem with his damage output or survivability. Of course, I took the Leadership pool, and I usually run with Assault toggled, so.....

See, that explains why I haven't seen it... I don't do a lot of bank missions.

Okay, so in the early trick-or-treating, I've already gotten a few costumes, all of which I recognize from various NPC groups (most of them bad guys), but....
Where on Earth (or Paragon City) do you find NPCs actually wearing the PPD Hardsuit costume? (And why don't we have some of the same pieces sans Police logo as costume options in creation? I especially like the armored legs...) -
I've tried several different combinations, but it never seems to be quite right. I suspect that if I was wearing a tight chest costume piece instead of a robe, it would minimize the problem, but it's not the look I want for the character.
I even tried changing the robe color to match the cloak color, but the texture of the robe is still noticablely different from the cloak and looks quite obvious.
I'm going to be doing some more experimenting today, but just playing around with the power customization, I also noticed that the cape very badly clips with the body during the use of the Storm Summoning power "Thunder Clap" (and I suspect the same would hold true for any similiarly animated power.)
Unfortunately, until and unless CoX adds a strong wireframe to the capes, I think there's always going to be clipping problems with certain powers and with running. -
Honestly, just go to RWZ and do mission after mission from Borea.
-
Okay, rolling a new character and I decide to give him the high collar cape (because hey, it's a magic origin character and they look cool), and I notice whenever I run, I can see the robe underneath the cape "clipping through" the shoulders of the cape.
Is there any combination of body settings (physique, chest, shoulders, etc.) that eliminates this or minimizes it to where it's not very noticeable, or should I just make the robe color the same color as the cape so I can't tell when it's happening? -
Okay, I'm playing an Electric Melee/Electric Armor scrapper, and I noticed that a few of my early Electric Melee powers have a chance to return drained Endurance to me.
Will Endurance Modification enhancements increase the amount of Endurance returned, or will they only increase the amount of Endurance drained from targets? (I already know from the paragonwiki pages that the Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance would give the targets Endurance...) -
I would suspect that you won't be able to start in Praetoria, but it will be accessible relatively early on (say early to mid teens). I'm basing this on the statement of "several new areas". So you might have a 15-20 zone, a 20-25 zone, a 26-30 zone (or maybe slightly wider level ranges).
Regardless, I can't see it being "Welcome to level 1 Praetoria."
