  1. You're not losing a slot. The slot that isn't there is an Auto-Slot that you can never remove. Since you can't slot Swap Ammo, the Auto-Slot isn't there.

The alternative would be to show the Auto-Slot, and then never allow any Enahancements to be placed into it.
  2. Because you knew it was inevitable:

I actually liked the red lip color. Can we have a version with, and one without it?

*hopes for a Yes, along with the option for the Victorian Curls without the hat*
  3. Interesting. My charcter has all 5 Incarnate Slots filled, and that option never showed up.

Sounds like it's time to /bug!
  4. I clicked through everything many times, until I started to get @_@. That was all I got. No badge.

So, I abused the 1 Inf Emp and Astral Merits instead, and unlocked stoof!

    Star Tours 2011

Those of you who know me know that I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. I like the first Trilogy, and that's about it.

This past Saturday (5/28), we went to Walt Disney World for Memorial Day. It also happened that Star Wars Weekend was happening while we were there. We manage to get some good photos of some of the stuff going on, and even rode the new Star Tours (YAY for Fast Pass!).

The new Star Tours is pretty fun. It's the same seating as before, so that's not new, but the stuff on the screen is in 3D.

From what I can tell, you go to 2 random locations on your "flight", and it was said by a Disney Cast Member that in order to see all the locations, you would have to ride for 6 hours straight. My reply?

Sadly, they didn't take me up on. COWARDS!

We went to Hoth first. It was during the battle between the Rebels and the Empire, from "The Empire Strikes Back". After that, we made our way to Coruscant from Episode 2. I dunno if it was due to new parts or what, but it didn't seem quite as rough as the original Star Tours...

The line for the new Star Tours was, predictibly, insane. I don't think the wait time ever dropped below 90 mins. Since we got a Fast Pass (and there was a line for that, too), I don't think we spent more than 10 mins. waiting, both in line, and to board. They changed one part of the area you walk through while in line. That one place was the only change I noticed. There was a new video before you entered, of course, setting up why what happens for the trip, happens.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy were dressed up as Star Wars characters (A Jedi, Princess Leia, a Storm Trooper, and Darth Vader, respectivly), and were doing a rotating Meet & Greet. Every 20 mins, whoever was out would go in, and the next would come out. We got pics with all of them, including Jedi Mickey and his droid, R2-MK. That was kinda fun!

It was pretty nice. Even though a lot of people were there, it didn't feel super crowded. Probably because there were a ton of people in line for the new Star Tours, and lots more in line to Meet & Greet with the various Star Wars characters who were there, including Boba & Jango Fett, Darth Maul, Queen Amidala, Chewbaca, Darth Vader, and probably a couple others I'm forgetting, as well Anthony Daniels.

I think the worst thing that happened was this: At noon, they stopped doing the Meet & Greet with Mickey & Co., though they were coming back at 1:30 PM, and let us start lining up at 1:10 PM. While I was in the line, The Wife™ went to the restrooms, looking for a water fountain to refill her water bottle. She left her purse with our daughter. I didn't see the camera, so I assumed it was still around The Wife™'s neck. Turns out, it was in her purse. If only I had known that... because Mr. Anthony Daniels walked by, about 5 feet away, and stopped for a moment while fans took some pics. And there I was, with no camera.

And now, for those who wanna see, here are photos from the day!

    WARNING! IMAGES ARE FRIGGIN' HUGE!

At the entrance to Hollywood Studios. These two Storm Troopers were watching people enter.

The one on the right said that someone in the crowd looked like a Rebel, and asked if he should blast them. After a moment, the one on the left said, "Nah, I don't wanna clean up the mess. His kind always make a mess when they're blasted."

CHEWBACA! What a wookie! Chewie was doing a Meet & Greet near the Star Tours ride. Some times, there was an Ewok there, and once, it was both Chewie and an Ewok.

This might be the droid you're looking for... This is R2-MK, companion droid of Jedi Mickey. I should have a pic of Jedi Mickey and R2-MK somewhere, but I can't find it...

Princess Minnie Organa. What more can I say? She thinks you're scruffy-looking.

The Darth Goof Troop! This is a pic of Darth Goofy and Stormtrooper Donald, with my family.

Intergalactic Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. While we didn't get any pics taken with him (very long line), I did manage to get this pic of him. I also got word that he was looking for Pepsiman... Something about some kind of bounty out for his continual gnawing and nomming...

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because there was always someone complaining that Test wasn't available any time a Closed Beta was held on it. Now, Closed Betas can be held on Beta/GR, and Test remains open to all.

I expect them to start suing art supply manufacturers any day now.
I'm waiting for the day Marvel ends up suing themselves because they didn't know it was them, personally.
  9. IIRC, this thing was pulled because of... you guess it! Marvel!

I'd love to see something like it, with all the current options.
  10. So, then, you managed to see the only 2 where she doesn't call him? And I missed them? Curses! Foiled again, like the baked potato!

  12. Until this gets fixed (if ever), I can provide you with the following work-around:

In your address bar, change showpm in the URL to newpm and press enter.

And there's a way to tell if clicking Reply will work right or not: Hover your mouse over the Reply button, and look in your stats bar. If it doesn't show the link as being http://boards.cityofheroes.com/private.php?do=newpm&pmid=nnnnn then you're going to have the problem you describe.

This is how we can tell you've never watched one of these.

Zwill's Wife™ has an innate ability to know when he's doing a UStream, and calls him.
  14. Well, now. That's a nice surprise!

I hope it continues to work for you.
  15. Oh yeah. I totally want that hair sans hat. It's just too awesome.

And no matter how many times I try to reinstall the game, that same message pops up along with a LONG log file.
Try this: Uninstall everything NCSoft/CoH Realated, and then reboot your computer into Safe Mode (generally done by pressing F8 during the boot up).

Once you load up in Safe Mode, go to C:\Program Files\ and see if the \NCSoft\ and/or \City of Heroes\ folders are still there. If they are, delete them. Then, reboot normally, and try to install.

At lot of times, files won't be removed during the Uninstall process because they're "in use", and either need a reboot, or a boot into Safe Mode, to have them no longer be in use, and deletable.

That makes sense. But you know people would still ask.

I also have my own way around the ALL CAP filter. :]

I REALLY want them to make that hair available sans hat! (I also REALLY want them to make the hands of the clock belt and gague on the backpack animated, too... :P)

That would be nice, but then people would be asking that Ninja and Beast Run be changed to available at Level 1, too. Not that I'd mind that change.

Also, what's with the hidden bit in your post?

I love the parts, and totally want this booster, but...

You really need to improve the parity of parts available. Too much is limited to one gender. For example: The belt with the clock on it is female only.

The lightbulb graphic doesn't seem to line up vertically with females. I rotated the camera so I was looking face on at my female Scrapper, and the light bulb appeared to the left (over her right shoulder).

I saw them in the video and immediately wanted them for some characters. But they're only available with the very theme-specific hat. Please make these curls a stand-alone hairstyle without the hat.
Yes, please! I LOVE how those curls look, but I don't want to have to wear a hat to use them.

I'm also going to add my voice to those asking that the Jacket options be made available with Sleevless Jackets, too.

Sure, now you add this. Ah well. Better late than never.
  22. It was a blast. Zwill's banter as the various villains totally made the event.

Well, that, and the dancing white war walker.
