Be aware that if it's not WoW, Gamestop employees don't seem to know what it is.
I went in looking for them, didn't see them at first, asked an employee, and he told me they don't carry them anymore. While he was telling me this, I found them on the time card rack. -
Quote:It's in (almost) ever Dark set. I want some variety, gosh darn it!What don't you like about Fearsome Stare? It's a good power
I'm a meleemans, so I don't wanna hold 'em, I wanna fold 'em.
Quote:But you can never use a mirror again. SOME of us care about personal grooming! -
Quote:Hmm... I thought Tunnel Rat already said that in a UStream Chat... Might be wrong, but I seem to remember it being said...Time Manipulation fun fact- swirl direction changes depending on if you are buffing or debuffing someone. Clockwise=Buff Counterclockwise=DeBuff
Ah well. Nothing wrong with saying it again!

-So far Hammer and Sword, potential for Axe as well.

The new Dark stuff sounds nice. But even nicer would be not having Fearsome Stare in any of them. *sigh*
Then again, having them there makes it easy to skip a power... -

How about they give ALL of us a survey? That'd be swell.

I guess I misheard what he said when watching the UStream, then, because I never heard murder Mother Mayhem.

I found this thread a few weeks back, and I want to say thank you for this information. I made an Elec/Elec Dominator, who is currently Level 17. I ended up running DFB to 15, for no other reason than just because.
I got my Street/Regen Brute to 50 last week, and started playing with this character. I must say, it's almost unfair. Your strat of Jolting Chain > Static Field > Tesla Cage > Beat fools up works so well, I almost feel guilty doing it...
I now see why you took Chain Fences late in the build. I find myself using it only once in a while.
Thanks for this great advice!
Quote:I hope all that helps. Keep posting any questions you have and I'm happy to help. Writing about my favorite character is a lot more fun than I would have thought. I might have even been inspired to write a guide about running an Electriple Dominator after all this.
(P.S. I'm still trying to get "Electriple" for Elec/Elec/Elec characters to catch on after 7 years. Did it work?) -
That's what I thought he said, that you'd want to murder him, not Mother.

Wow. Not a huge fan of Stalkers, but I was wondering what the changes would be. The only thought I had was to make Hide and Inherant power, and give Stalkers a real T1 for their Secondary Powerset. But I dunno if that would break things...
The changes posted sound pretty neat, and I can't wait to try them out.
So, let's see here...
Blasters got a Defiance revamp, and the ability to use T1 & T2 Primary and T1 Secondary powers while mez'd.
Controllers got the Overpower mechanic (which I think was always there, but didn't always work right).
Defenders got a Vigilance tweak that adds a bonus to damage based on Team Size.
Tankers got Brusing added to their T1 Secondary Power.
Brutes got a Fury revamp.
Dominators got a Domination revamp.
And now this for Stalkers. That just leaves Scrappers, Corruptors, and Masterminds, and all 10 of the "core" ATs will have been tweak'd... -
Quote:Any comment on the file named Statesman_Dead_Teaser.psd that was visible on David's computer? O.o
I'm sure it has nothing to do with what came to mind. O.OQuote:That's one of the SSA teasers - there was one for Manticore and BAB too.
Notice how all three of them have something that represents them in this? -
This feature won't go away because you say you don't like it. Your words don't matter. This feature can only be made to go away by using your wallet. The more people who don't buy it, the less likely it is to stick around.

Ignore the Beta VIP Server. Nobody can log in to it, and it's now misnamed.
-
It's caused by the update to the PhsyX Engine. And I like it! (I think it's a bug, like the Knockback thing, also caused by the update to the PhysX Engine).

I found out that DA will be the Solo Path for Incarnates, and street sweeping will drop components.

This was a fun one to watch!

This was address on one of the UStreams. A pet takes as much toll on the servers as a player. This solution is a temporary thing, while they work on making it so you can have a Buff/Vet Pet and Vanity Pet.

I thought the next Trial was Delimma Diabolique?
Some other things:
Darkness Control is free for VIP. Staff must be purchased.
The Loyalty Program comes with a Badge, Costume Change Emote, Vanity Pet, Helmet, Chest Emblem, and Aura.
Loyalty Program Pic by @PollyMatronic. Here's a link to the LARGE image (1920x1260).
War Witch said Boomtown is not on shcedule for a revamp yet. They're open to Top 10 Lists players may have for zone revamps.
Busted: They know nothing about the supposed rumors of a supposed Atlantis TF. However, there WAS an interesting pause before they denied it...
Positron confirmed City Vault is still dead.
When asked about gifting items, there was no real reply. Just lots of muttering.
Server mergers? Nope. (Besides, DCUO showed it don't work. Not said by Devs, but by me, Kheldarn.)
New Incarnate Slots might be talked about at Powers Panel.
More on transfering characters between accounts: A dev said, "when I was making server transfers there was a bug that transferred your toon to someone else's account so yes its possible!". Nate joked that you should just keep making transfers, and it might end up on someone else's account.
When asked about adding long hair option to hats, Nate said, "Behind the scenes, Hats are just hair.". -
About 45 mins. ago, Gutwrench, my Street Justice/Regeneration Brute, and Praetorian version of Savannah Nightwolf, hit 50, for 50 #13!
Punch will be served! -
Interesting. About 30 mins. after I posted this, it showed up on CoH's Twitter and Facebook pages... I hope he lets us know the results (that is, the number of votes each got).
Quote:I understand that, but he explains the reason for the name in the very first question in his FAQ:I'm not sure I want to encourage any further connection between this game and the word "grind"...
Quote:Q: Why the name, MMO Grinder?
A: One thing I was always really bad at was coming up with names for things. (See: Chaos Reviews) so when I was planning this out, my original title was MMO M.O. which pretty much doesnt make any sense, I just thought it was clever. I was wrong. I was also constantly discouraged by issues when Id come up with what I thought was a good title for something, Id see it was used somewhere else. (I had an idea for a reality TV review show called Reality Check but Im hardly the only person who thought of that pun.) Unlike quite a few people on the internet, I actually check to see if anyone else is using a name regularly before I decide to use it. Because Im not a complete dick.
I contacted Justin Carmical (JewWario) on the TGWTG forums and asked him tips about making a show. In addition to a lot of information about starting out, he advised me that I should pick a name that brought together the entire point of the series, with something that had a common link. Not sure exactly when MMO Grinder came to me but I was VERY shocked to see that numerous Google searches turned up nothing but a Wikipedia page on the word Grinding, and someone asking for a free-to-play MMO in a forum. So I jumped on the chance to create something with that name.
Why? Because Grinding is a part of every MMO in some way shape or form. Be it killing monsters to level, playing the same match or course over and over, or even having to travel back to the same area repeatedly are all part of the grind. Also it brings up mental images or a tool or a sandwich depending on who you ask.
I just found him last week via TGWTG, and I'm impressed with his style. He seems to be pretty neutral. Even with his dislike of Maple Story, he did a nice job. I like MS, and his review.
The part at the end, with his final "rating" is interesting. Instead of assigning arbirary numbers that only mean something to him, he instead focuses on three things: Play, Pay, and Pass.
This is from his About page:
Quote:In my conclusion, rather than give a numerical score, Ill give my final rating which works as follows.
PLAY:
Reasons to download and play the game.
PAY:
Things you might want to pay for if youre willing to stick with it.
PASS:
Reasons to avoid the game altogether.
Things stated in PLAY, PAY, PASS, will only try to consider things that wont change about the nature of the game, such as the look or nuances or style of gameplay, but keep in mind that major overhauls might shift focus enough to make some points obsolete.
This is why each episodes title card is dated with a completion date, so you know if the critique is still relevant. -
I've used the LFG queue to join DFB and the Haunted Mansion, while solo, just fine. I also make sure to click Willing To Join Events In Progress.
