  1. I took a break from the game. My home server was freedom but i donated around 30 bill to the Virtue 88's. May be time to come back soon since WoW=boring as hell to me at end game.

  2. I took a break from the game after the 30 billion infamy burn. Still got quite a bit laying around but not marketeering currently. I like the idea of having another 30 billion stashed for when an sg passes us to only make thier celebration short lived. Yes I am that ebil.

    BTW nice to see someone has passed me on the prestige list. Good Job! Maybe that will be reason enough for me to start flipping again.

  4. So I am also looking to purchase some pvp io's and would like to buy off an 88'er. I am looking for two Gladiator Armor 3% def procs and one Shield Wall 3% res.   5. Took care of the pvp sg badge. Not sure what the Fusion Generator does exactly. This is just a heads up for our base builder in case it was wanted/needed.
  6. You can't get stupid until you use pvp io's. This is my stupid good fire/shield brute version. You can use it for some ideas/changes with your scrapper.

    Replace Grant Cover or Swift with hasten if you like.

  10. I would suggest just tranfering it to another server. I know pvp sucks on all servers but freedom but you could maybe go Virtue for easy RV kills for io's.

    I know spending the money to xfer sucks, maybe u can hold out till its free again?

  12. You know I actually thought of this thread 5 minutes into pvp'ing in SC today. Yes i'm just a crappy zone player but I have teamed with many new people trying it out. I almost feel bad for them when they get farmed by io'd toons. Whether you like to admit it or not there is a huge difference in fighting an io'd/acco'd hero and one that is not.

    My best example would be to look at all the psi/em blasters when you play. 6(yes really 6) different ones today in a 30 minute pvp session in SC(i know lol SC). Its the same s*** when I go to the so called pro base camp zone RV. Check your combat log after the broken lag in damage hits you. Almost every one you get attacked by is filled to the gills with procs. The devs have created a game of have's and have not's. Sure you could put in some time farming to acco/proc/io but then you just become another guy that wins with his build and not skill(lol i13 go devs GO!).

    I remember the days when heroes were out numbering vills and a couple good thermals would zone and change the tides even out #'d. Man what I would do to have my corrs healing/buffing back. I guess the same would go for a couple good emps.

    p.s. I'm not a fight clubber and don't do arena I guess it could be different in those cases.

    So this leads me the the conclusion of don't waste your time op.

    I did on purpose once. I was done for the night and some traps defender(Sizzler i think is the name) in Sirens was trying to get kills for a while so I figured ehh lets see if he can actually kill something. I decided to jump into his traps to see how long it took for him to kill me. I sat there and lunged him about 5 times before dying to a blaster and tank that came across us.

    Yeah who is this traps defender u are talking about Dahjee? Cause I am in that zone quite a bit and have never seen one do well. The only one i seen really can only web nade than let thier team do the rest.
  15. I would recommend a stalker if your new. I rolled a spines/wp to sort of farm for io's due to easy kills, he is quite survivable out #'d. If you roll a vill other than a stalker u will find it frustrating most of the time.

    If you go hero everyone else is giving the same advice i would. Just go blaster Fire, Sonic, Psy or Rad paired with /em or /dev. Maybe a fire/regen scrapper but most I have seen there only lol fiteclub so not sure how good they can be.

    I figured I would post this in the scrapper section being this is where most of the DPS pro's hang out. lol

    I want this build to do everything. Solo av's(without aid self if possible cause I hate taking it), farms, RWZ challenge, pylons, sf's, pugs... u get the idea.

    I read through all the fire/sd threads and think I came up with a build that will accomplish what i'm looking for just need some number crucher people to take a look at it.

    There is no epic power pool selections since I have to have swift and hurdle on my melees and I wanted grant cover and taunt for pug's and sf's.

    My feeling is the build may need more Acc but i'm not sure where to get it.

    I also realize this is expensive but I already have all the uniques, 5 lotgs and most of the purples. The pvp io is the ridiculous one but I will get it.

    Electric Melee/?

    Willpower is the best right now in pvp but other secondaries have thier advantages.

    /WP - zones/arena
    /Regen - takes tactics for perception and is good for zones/arena
    /EA - it can work with a good player behind the keys, a good team arena choice
    /Nin - I was set on this being the best but after rerolling to willpower my /nin has gotten benched.
    /Dark - lol
    /Elec - lol but I haven't played it, just what i have heard
    /SR - lol but can be ok with stacked def io bonuses
  21. So I built a new comp recently and have been getting a strange twitch/flicker while playing the game with Verticle Sync on. Playing the game without Verticle Sync on was not an option so I dug deeper into the problem. I usually just set my Nvidia settings to JG's recommended settings and i'm good to go but that hasn't been the case since the new comp and Windows 7. Basicly the fix was changing Anti-Ailiasing mode to Override Application and the setting to 4x. I can't explain it but that has fixed my issues. It almost seems like setting it to let the application control aa and using 4x in CoH is broken with windows 7.

    Here are my settings in the Nvidia control panel that seem to have cured my problems with CoH.

    Ambient Occlusion - OFF
    Anistropic filtering - 16x
    Antialiasing Gamma correction - On
    Antialiasing Mode - Override any application setting
    Antialiasing Setting - 4X(turned it up to 16Q but not much difference)
    Antialiasing Transparency - Off

    Multi/mixed-GPU acceleration - Single display performance mode
    Power management mode - Prefer maximum performance
    Texture filtering Anisotropic sample opti. - Off

    I hope this helps some people out if they are getting some stange game play in CoH like I was. I am in no way an expert when it comes to graphics and settings so if you come up with better settings or tweaks other than the ones I have made let me know.

    Spines/WP PvP

    Here is the build I am working on for pvp. It is a bit different from most you will see. I wanted around 600% regen(I know DR kills it but still works good for zones). No stamina but no need for it. I hate playing without hurdle for some reason so fitness still gets picked and Health gets me to the regen rate I wanted.

    The build is very expensive for some but I have been playing forever and infamy is no issue. I'm sure you could tweak this build to adjust for your play style.

    I also build with lvl 33 io's for Sirens cause when RV isn't doing good you can usually find people there.

  23. It seems like your not going for anything special with those set bonuses. What are you focused on? I would recommend soft capping def than see what you can do from there.

    Here is my current spines/sr build. It has soft capped def, perma hasten, aid self, and plenty of recovery and +dam. It could still be improved i think.
