Best PVP Duo

Since PVP in CoX is so team-oriented, I was wondering what in all of your opinions is the best PVP duo for PVP? Or at least some good pairs for pvping in CoH or CoV.

Not sure of the best but I have been wanting to try 2 corrs. One Rad/Pain and One Sonic/Pain.

I think the blaster/emp combo is still among the best......

Yup. Blaster or dom with a emp or pd pushing it.

yup... pretty much the least-likely to get countered combo (with the emp)...

Still can't beat an Emp/Blaster. There's a little bit of variation there (Emp/Pain, Therm is decent but not great; Dom can cause a few more issues for the other team but doesn't usually put out as much damage as a Blaster would), but 2v2s haven't changed a lot from before I13 except with DR and the mez changes your Emp can bring a tray of greens to a match, spend the whole time evading, and neither team would get a kill.

A stalker's AS followed by a Corruptor's scouge makes for pretty effective duo'ing when timed right. May be the fastest I've seen at getting kills.

A good MM and a sturdy taunt-bot combine quite well too in terms of survivability.

A good Stalker + good Dom can often equal a very effective duo as well.

A good Blaster + a good Emp however takes the cake I think.

I don't think stalker and Dom would make a good duo...the Dom would be gettin his *** beat while the stalker just runs aroun in hide....considering that doma may he the squishiey AT of all...though I have seen a corr And stalker be a VERY effective duo as well as a troller and taunt bot

The better stalkers out there weren't affected when they changed the mez rules in PvP. 4 seconds is 3 seconds longer than they need to to get a good crit/AS off. The combo definately works better with multiple stalkers and a good dom, but a duo can still be quite effective assuming the skill level of each is where it needs to be.

It has begun.

Stalker/* duo might've worked under the old rules when AS actually did damage, but these days it just wouldn't go so well.

2v2s have changed lots. Emp/Blaster was never the best 2v2 combo either. Pre-i13 it was solid, in that it was versatile, but far from the best.

Now, Blast/Emp is pretty bad. It's still versatile, but you can't really kill anything if the other team is semi-competent and brings a healer.

Try a Cold and a Therm, or two Therms... maybe a Therm and a Kin. Chris and I have had success running two psi/ems as well, but that team isn't as stable. We are currently working on a double Warshade team, but I can't say anymore about that.

yeeaaah, pre-i13, double therms were pretty damn near amazing.
a fort and a therm? pretty much unbettable.

That match against you and Void (was it Void?) on your Kin and Therm trollers suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

Con and I usually run Therm/Dom and have never really had issues with it.

2 elec/pains would always win if the players behind them have at least 1 brain in total.

Fort therm was pretty easy to beat. Double therms was more tricky, since they could buff each other. I always found that therm/cold was more effective, though. Since you still had some serious damage mitigation, but better offense with it.

As for double elec/pains, I don't see how you'd kill anything outside of sudden death. Not that the pains would die either.

I don't know how to multiquote, but I'm not sentry4 either. Mac: Definitely. That team was pretty effective, and it was the first time either of us had used it, and I was also being useless on a PvE fire/kin with 1100 hp. That said, I think kin/therm has good potential.
