As mentoned above, it was announced at HeroCon that "vendor price equalization" was upcoming. Say goodbye to running around.

What would make sense to me is when purchasing enhancements have Contacts give a small price discount that is linked to earning a good relationship level with them. Incentive to run missions, especially for your origin contacts.
  2. Haven't done it myself except by using the demo record tool in-game, but here's the section in Player Guides about video recording:

I'm pretty sure someone will be along with some information on using Fraps.
  3. Also, enhancements do not drop if you're exemplared. (Via SSK or flashback for example.)

I believe I fixed that bug the other day. Same issue as custom animations for Super Strength and Shields.

    New Cape Mish?

I've been offered it (non-flashback) on characters that already have a cape. I found this out when I went to do the Aura mission and was offered the cape mission again.
Nice update to the mission; I like it when the game keeps evolving. (Just like the leftovers in my 'fridge )

    Hope it works though.
Yes, Escape clears anything you have targeted, ergo, the auto-fire will begin working again.

I don't see it. Wouldn't it be a differnt number than the rain damage? Look different?

I decided to keep it because, even though it sells for 2.5m crafted, it doesn't sell but once a month.

Would it be better to trash it? If it's not doing anything?
It works very well; I have it in Freezing Rain.

It appears under "Pet Damage Inflicted" channel in chat, and it'll say: "Freezing Rain: You blast Fallen Buckshot for 335.48 points of bonus negative energy damage!"

This. And it even includes clicking on glowies in missions.

    Pet Emotes?

Petsay is not appearing in chat bubbles, so yes that's still broken.
  11. Yes, I can verify this as well, using an Unbounded Leap: Stealth.

It looks like they have the same effect as Longbow Eagles. It was explained a long time ago [by Castle IIRC] that in order to have the AI stay ranged there is a melee range 'aura power' around Longbow Eagles that caused them to fly away if anyone gets within melee range and triggers the power. The 'aura' is flagged as an agressive action, so it will suppress stealth as well.

I doubt anyone is experiencing this problem since I can't think of anyone else who plays this game with a controller.
Only thing I can think of would be to check if the Joystick Input option in-game is "enabled". For the longest time it defaulted to "enabled" upon game start, even if you disabled it in the previous session.

It's under Menu > Options. "Controls" Tab, "Joystick" section
  13. I take the Axe on characters that are weak against ghosts and zombies (see comprehensive Wiki list here: Undead Enemies ) like characters that are mostly smash, dark, ice and mental.
At higher levels I usually end up with +to Hit on my characters so it's inherent accuracy isn't too bad.
Of course, with the 54 month vet reward I end up taking Sands of Mu on a lot of ranged characters that had the Axe first.
  14. There is an upper level to the "Reactor Room" which ( iirc ) cannot be accessed by the ramps. Fly all the way to the top, or use the elevator which is usually just to one side of the up / down ramps when you enter the room.
I've found him up there as well.

This is how I've always seen it as well, one bubble for the player since CoV beta.
Looking at the Combat Attributes for the pets and player shows that the bubble defense does stack on pets that get double shielded, so I'm wondering if it's WAI. They recently were looked at with the Combat Pet fix for the Protector Bots, so a bug report wouldn't hurt just to get it looked at.
  16. Try putting a word that describes the character in front of the name: Dark, Fiery, Ghostly, Nefarious, Cryptic, Stealthy, Outstanding, Sergeant, Last, Resolute, Mysterious, Iron, Purple, Mythic etc.

Invuln powers, shield powers, combat jumping, weave, etc - none of these change BASE defense. Off the top of my head, I can think of just two things that affect Base Defense:
    1) Defense dubuffs.
    2) Personal Force Field

I noticed the "empowerment buff' from buff pets is added to Base defense. Perhaps Empowerment Station buffs as well?

    Procs misfiring?

Just before SSK was introduced, there was a bug with Build Up Procs firing while exemplared. They would indicate they fired in the chat, but the actual buff was not applied when you watched the Combat Attributes.

I hope that bug isn't back. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Edit to add: I just did a test while exemplared and both the Gaussian's and Decimation BU procs were firing and buffing as usual. I was watching the chat and combat attributes so I wasn't watching to see if the buff icon winked out early though.
  20. I did some digging on information for some of the statues for a post in the Fodder for the Canon: Ask your lore questions.
The info is from the plaques / zone descriptions in-game FWIW.

What are the names of the four heroes who have statues in their memory at the four corners of Atlas Park?
Although the statues are generic and used everywhere, some of the statues are the same as in other zones where they are identified by plaques or zone descriptions. I'll see if I can dig them up once the servers come back up.

South East statue could be John Knox. In Steel Canyon the history plaque on the same statue reads:
This statue honors John Knox of the Midnight Squad, otherwise known as the Crimson Fist. Knox was among the many heroes to give their lives in the Rikti War, but he is best remembered for his efforts to keep Superadine off the streets. Using his powers of telepathy and divination, it was he who first linked the sale of Superadine to the Family.

North East statue could be Wavelength in a different pose. The large statue at the north end of the northern bridge in Independence Port is of Wavelength. It is mentioned in the mission text for "Assist the Security Chief in Independence Port", which reads "If you get a chance take a look at the Statue of Wavelength near the water. She was a speedster who fell in the Rikti War."

North West statue could be Mustang in a different pose. The large statue in the Rikti War Zone with the Ace badge has this description: "This statue honors Mustang, a valiant hero who fought during WWII."

South West statue could be Galaxy Girl in a different pose. Her large statue is in Galaxy City with a plaque that reads: " Kelly Graham never thought she was destined for greatness. That changed one night when she was walking home from work. She came upon an innocent woman being dragged into an alley by some masked men. Kelly called out for help, to no avail. As her fear and anger grew, she launched herself toward the alley. After a blur of flying, energy blasting, and healing light... Galaxy Girl was born!"

Also, the statue in the lake at Prometheus Park is of Wayland; his statue, and that of Cassiopeia and M1 are mentioned in the Galaxy City zone description: "Several breathtaking statues are found scattered throughout the district, reminding the residents of those who gave so much of themselves for the people of the city. The sculptures are all dedicated to heroes who made the area their home, and include Wayland, a self-proclaimed descendant of a Norse hero; Cassiopeia, the lovely psionicist; and M1, born and raised Matthew Barnes in Equinox, who enlisted during World War II and joined the 1st Hero Brigade."

When you are INSIDE a mission, the person used to calculate all SSK levels is the MISSION OWNER.

Example, you are level 50 and have the star. Everyone else on the team is a lower level and are SSK'ed to 49. You enter a mission belonging to someone who is level 40. When you enter the mission, your level drops to 40 even though you retain the star. Everyone else is either SK'ed up or exemped down to the level 40 mission owner. The actual level of the mission is based on the mission owner and his/her difficulty settings.
    To further clarify:

When you are OUTSIDE a mission and have NO MISSION SELECTED then the person used to calculate all SSK levels is the TEAM LEADER.

When you are OUTSIDE a mission and HAVE A MISSION SELECTED then the person used to calculate all SSK levels is the MISSION OWNER. <- this is used to good effect during GM battles and zone events when the leader may be a lower level but selects a higher level teammate's mission to increase everyone's level.
  22. I don't think this is specific to MA (although pets do despawn on exiting an MA arc).
It may just be the usual case; caused by the server shards (zones) having different Server times. They are all supposed to be on UT, but sometimes after maintenance you'll find some have reverted to the server's zone time (Eastern or Pacific time for example).
When you zone, the game thinks you've been offline for the time difference, detoggles your powers as if you've been offline for that amount of time and even gives Patrol XP.
When I notice it I send in a petition with the "technical issue" button checked, and include the server times of the 2 zones (use /servertime to get the values) so the GM's can adjust the servers' clocks.
(Note, I use /petition to get the GM's attention, not a /bug as those go to the game developers.)
  23. Oh, I just couldn't resist:

  24. While helping a new player defeat Maestro (who is missing his cape), it reminded me post about game features that 'went missing' and have not been replaced or corrected.

Maestro's cape is one (seen here from a Paragon Wiki article):

I'm not certain exactly which Issue that disappeared but I do remember last seeing it on him around Issue 5.

Another is the Tabitha Fabish Magic store signs in Talos Island and Independence Port.
They were changed to swinging "El Super Mexicano" signs when Physx was introduced, and then [incorrectly?] replaced with "Pandora's Box" signs. The employees inside are still referred to as "The Mystic", "The Seer", etc. and not "Pandora's Box employee", so I would think this was an oversight.

    1) I know in Issue 14 or something that Pet buffing has been nerfed. However the only thing I know about that is that you can't give them Recovery bonuses from the likes of SB anymore. What I want to know, what Buffs still affect pets? Stuff like Assault, Manuevers Tactics, AM, and the like.

Only the +recharge buff/ debuff was nullified, all other buffs work.

    Patchnote for Issue 14:
    • Pet Powers Change:
      • Recharge times on pet attack powers will no longer be affected by any outside source. This includes buffs and debuffs. What this means is that pets can no longer have the recharge time on their powers increased by player buffs (like Speed Boost) or their recharge time decreased by player or NPC debuffs. This change was made to allow pets to correctly cycle through their attacks instead of getting locked on using the same attack over and over and neglecting to use other available powers.
