Is my proc working?

I recently got a Lady Grey: Change of Negative recipe and decided to craft and keep it. I slotted it into Freezing Rain. It's supposed to have a 20% chance of neg, and I figured with as many hits as FR gets, it would be all over the place.

I don't see it. Wouldn't it be a differnt number than the rain damage? Look different?

I decided to keep it because, even though it sells for 2.5m crafted, it doesn't sell but once a month.

Would it be better to trash it? If it's not doing anything?

If I remember right, Procs show up in one of the healing "chat" channels.

It should be working, some pet based powers have proc related issues but to the best of my knowledge Freezing Rain is not one of them.

However, in continuing powers procs only get a chance to activate once every ten seconds. This means that in freezing rain the proc will only have a chnage to go off twice over the duration. This is done to stop continuing powers with procs doing insane amounts of damage.

To answer your other questions, the damage will be a different amount from freezing rain based on your combat level (link). It'll look the same but if you look through your combat logs (not sure which of the combat channels though) you should be able to see if it activates.

I'm not familiar with that particular IO but the purples slotted on my main certainly work that way. When they fire, I get an additional orange number over the head of my target. I recently put two procs in one of my tanks' damage auras. I should keep an eye on that.

Shadow is right--you should get some sort of message in your combat chat logs. At the very least, you should see a message indicating that additional damage has happened, because of LG:CfND.

It did indeed work like that for a while in Closed Beta. However if you stop to think about it, that makes it incredibly broken. It got change so that it checks every 10 seconds in a power like Freezing Rain.

But now no one will ask me, "Are you a god?"

OK, so i checked on my tank who has Mako's Bite: Chance for Lethal damage in brawl. The only indication I could find of the proc going off was in my damage inflicted channel and looked like this

Code:
You hit Chief Mentalist for 45.19 points of bonus Lethal damage!
You Brawl with Chief Mentalist and deal 11.19 points of smashing damage!
I don't know if Lady Grey: Chance of Negative Damage works exactly the same.

It works very well; I have it in Freezing Rain.

It appears under "Pet Damage Inflicted" channel in chat, and it'll say: "Freezing Rain: You blast Fallen Buckshot for 335.48 points of bonus negative energy damage!"

Where the proc shows up depends on the power you put it in. In your own attack, it shows up under your damage. In a Pet or Pseudo Pet power, it shows up somewhere else.

*reminisces about Touch of Lady Gray: Chance to One-Shot... combined with pseudopet powers which would apply damage procs to both caster and enemy*

Proc is working. Getting neg damage, twice, each activation. The lowest I got was in the sixties and the highest was 260, but that was against some poor tsoo on the side of the road. The sixty was more my level.
