My villainous bots/traps mastermind would document what Westin Phipps was really up to, then tie him up and deliver him to Longbow. Even evil has standards, and it would help his image as a villain with good publicity

Computers have supported IRQ sharing since the introduction of the PCI bus in the mid-90s. The only situation I know of where IRQ conflicts are a problem is with SoundBlaster cards, since they don't implement the PCI spec quite right.

I'm not having any problems. Are you running the latest version of the script?

The dialog you get during Mender Ramiel's arc changes depending on what badges you have.

iXP at +0/x1 is very low. Enemies will reward twice as much iXP at +1, so if you can handle it, you should bump your difficulty up.
Only story arcs give component rewards; repeatables only give threads, merits, and super inspirations.
The first repeatable mission you run in a 20-hour period gives you the best end reward; after that, rewards for repeatables are reduced. -

Quote:Neither of these is the case. Combat and defeat tracking is strictly server-side, so if your defeat count is getting rolled back, it's because the server is crashing before it can update the on-disk copy of your information.Your client probably wasn't connected adequately to the game servers to update the badge progress shortly before you were disconnected.
Either that or you were disconnected far before it kicked you off, thus any credit while DCed was never tracked.
(You can spot a partial disconnect by noticing that you can move around and see ongoing combat, but you can't activate powers) -

Quote:Lifetime subscriptions at launch have been around for a while (I know Second Life offered them back in 2003), but they're usually only offered when the game's success is uncertain. There was no way that WoW was going to be a failure, so they didn't offer lifetime subscriptions.SOME MMORPGs offer a lifetime subscription when they launch, but that's relatively new. I don't think that WOW did, for instance. If they do now, it's more recent than the game. Some new MMOs do offer them, and then die shortly after release, meaning that it was a really bad investment for the players who bought them.

Quote:As I recall, it was removed because a F2P game on Steam is required to integrate any in-game market with the Steam software, and give Valve a cut of the money from any market purchases.Strangely enough, it *was* on Steam... but that was before it went F2P.
Not sure what NCsoft would have to do to get it back up there, but i do agree that it would be an excellent move for them now that it has transitioned from Subscription only to the Hybrid model. -
Quote:I can confirm this. When I was doing my thread drop rate testing, I didn't get a single shard.I think I read a line in the I22 patch notes which specifically said that Shards do -not- drop in the new DA.
EDIT: double checked this is what the Patch Notes said.
You should still be able to use the Astral -> Shard email conversion in Ouroboros. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Membrane Exposures enhance both defense and to-hit, and don't Vengeance and Mind Link accept both defense buff and to-hit buff enhancements?

Quote:There's no contrast to speak of already, especially in the blue cave maps. Adding depth cues should make things much easier. From what I've seen in 3d games, it kinda fits the same as the movies- although you've added depth, the shading the glasses add (from either the polarization or the rapid-shutter methods) means that low-contrast areas will be even lower contrast. Those tunnels are shadowy enough already... (though I guess brightness/contrast settings can address some of this.
(If you've got good mouse control, you can try this yourself with no special equipment, using wiggle stereoscopy.) -
Quote:Depends on the cost. Would fixing it cost "one mission with custom mechanics", would it be "Dark Astoria makeover", or would it be "Ultra Mode"?All the more reason to budget out resources with "big picture" goals in mind instead of making everything an either/or proposition by jerry-rigging for the short term. Letting a kuldgy pile of code sit around for years will only cause more and more problems down the line. Moreover, fixing Ouro eventually may very well open up new possibilities for content later.

The advantage 3D gives in CoH is the ability to spot side tunnels in the cave maps.
