Quote:Correct me if i am wrong but isn't da a click heavy set? any click means dropping dps, I want to see a wp or sr or any other toggle and forget sets dps actually for a better comparision. This attack chain got me 198 dps on my staff/da brute on beta w/ t4 reactive. While it may be the best of what Staff has to offer, it is still quite low. Obviously will be a bit higher for a scrapper, but it's still not going to be that great as far as ST dps goes.

Quote:Divine avalanche isn't needed in a SR since you can softcap melee relatively easy.I'm pretty interested in a Kat/SR build to become my main;
I have a few queries about your build though -
How comes Divine Avalanche was skipped?
What will be your adjustments with the i23 ATO addition?
How does this fair soloing with DA/ AV's and ofc +4/x8's?
Also which incarnates to you find to be appropriate for your toon?
Thanks !
i23 currently doesn't add ATO at least they are not part of their patch notes yet.
With careful playing and incarnate goodies +4x8 DA is not hard (though I use elude to get to incarnate cap and use barrier when it starts blinking) for AV's it takes a little long depending on AV but with a couple of insps they are managable.
For my own kat/SR I am using t4 musculurate (%45 damage), depending on mood, trial, etc i have a set of destinies while solo i use rebirth:+regen, T4 degenerative interface with %75 DoT one, have a couple of judgement and lore pets depending on my mood usually use vorpal and rularuu though. -
Quote:Mostly same here only difference is now I won't be buying anything from paragon market since it is obvious that they don't want my money anymore and things lost their shine.Basically same story here. Wanted to wait for staff to test the new stalker changes, cursed myself for holding out past DXP, made a claws/wp stalker, don't have much urge to get staff fighting. I may get it, but it's not going to be a must buy anymore.
TL;DR: Paragon you waited too long and releasing it after DXP was just insult to injury. (Masterminds didn't get a revamp I was aware of so BM could have waited to get staff stalkers going.) -
Quote:I didn't said softcapping SR is not cheap. I said softcapping SR for Incarnate softcap is not cheap since thread is all about incarnate softcap I didn't realise i need to point that out as well. You can softcap SR with only SO's for normal content. For those that say its not cheap I'm running on soft cap which my Kat/sr and I'm very sure I didn't spend more than 100 million it was probably between 50-90 no purples ...I haven't been online in about 200 days though...so not sur ehow the market is but I made it with very easy to get enhancements and I'm running quite smoothly... Now onto incarnate for me

Probably true both Franklin Richard (son of Mister Fantastic and Invisiblewoman) and Spidergirl (daughter of Spiderman) counted as mutant if I remember correctly.
-
converters are good way to use your merits but in no mean they will make that kind of gap. Actually they are doing reverse enhancements and recipes with too low costs on AE are rising in price while hard to obtain ones are dropping.
-
I do +4x8 on both DA and in both normal content with kat/SR scrapper.
-
SR will be easier to softcap but it won't be cheap. Currently my kat/SR only have weave from third pools to hit normal content softcap (I have 1 eradication set, 1 gaussian set, scapper ATO, glad armor proc and steadfast proc). My alpha is muscularate so it doesn't have effect on defense. If we account in combat jumping, maneuvre, alpha and a little more sets it will be easy to reach incarnate softcap for last %5 you can even use T4 barrier destiny since it also gives resist.
Quote:That won't work in DA solo content though and I think DA mobs are far more dangerous than preatorians. Also I see rebirth: +regen works better than any resist you can get in incarnate trials and for DA content. However for top performance in incarnate content you ideally want a resistance based set with a 45% softcap. The prevalancy of defense buffs will easily get you the last 14% you need for incarnate softcap and bump up the positions/types that you did not softcap. Actually having resistance for incarnate content is invaluable. -
Considering I have first set in flashing steel and second set in gamblers cut yes you can slot both of them (which is a bigg success for me since my character only had two purple sets and now I have 4 %10 recharge bonus :P) Also by looking at numbers I can guess what will be third sets set bonuses will be like. I need a couple of respec in a year or two it seems :P

Quote:I put this on gamblers cut and moved heca and achielle proc to soaring dragon my golden dragonfly had glad proc and armageddon slotted than I go to test with assault core on a pylon. Result was satifying if not outstanding.Scrapper: More chance to crit is nice, dont know how it works though. Even if its just +50% to Crit on one attack, that doesnt sound to bad. Depending on how it procs, put it in the highest DPA attack seems like a good idea to me.
I have T4 muscularate, t4 degen, t4 assault core (5 stack one). My scrapper is kat/sr so no need for Divine avalanche so my attack chain is gc-gd-gc-sd i rarely use hasten, conserver power (which is a must for hybrid slot), practice brawler (only when it is blinking) and use Build up whenever i get a chance instead of gc in front of GD.
My result with just assault core was 2min 44 second (without it it was 3min 31 second so big leap in here) with both assault core and new ATO my current time is 1min 59 sec.
It floats with red over your characters head critical strikes when proc fires so I can say that it is only in whatever power you use but it fires a good amount (3 ppm on gamblers cut would be a disadvantage actually but I don't see much problem) however there is no buff icon or anything like that so I am not sure how long it affects powers still with my attack chain it is irrevelant since GC is used two times in a 4 attack chain and always before big burst of SD or GD. SD and GD having -res procs worked like a charm too.
I also think that it increase chance with a flat %50 since whenever i see critical strike before GD it almost always crit (it should be %15 crit power +%6 from first ATO it makes %21 +%50 makes it %71 which seems about right) -
Actually there is one robot (or android as it has a high artifical inteligence) I may consider as a science origin. In one of Asimov's stories about three robot law "I, Human" protoganist robot started to develop organic prosthesis to be used on people and slowly replaced its metal body with them. I remember at the near of end he was asking someone if he could be counted as humansince he had emotions and organic body.

3min 31 sec. But this was one of my best runs (had lots of crits and BU proc in tactis were very generous in this one) and I didn't had any slips and such the ones I posted before had a few slips so I think they can be improved another 5 or 10 second.

Quote:Black Scorpion in Max arc spawns as AV if you have AV setting turned on.The thing that makes it easy (aside from Incarnate shifts working, obviously) is that there's no way for the EB's to spawn as AV's. If AV's could be turned on it would be a hell of a challenge, especially the level shifted one who gains a higher level throughout the fight.

I did some testing on beta here are some pylon results on assault core, radial and control radial.
T4 Assault radial pylon time with my kat/SR scrapper: 3min 23sec
T4 Assault core pylon time: 2min 44sec
T4 Control Radial pylon time: 3min 27sec (odd thing about this that both waylan and blight were firing on pylon when I checked combat log I see waylan was firing for whole fight so I think there is something in here)
My other incarnate stuff are muscularate and degen T4 (%75 dot %25 debuff). -
Soloed DA with my tri-form WS and kat/SR scrapper. It was eiaser with my tri-from WS becuase of AoE's I have but my scrapper was more fun for some strange reason. (I guess I like to cut people more than I think :P)

Depends on type of robot. There are a few types but usual ones are
Cyborgs: These are usaully have a living brain and/or some organic components that is put in a robot body. In some cases it is also used for people who got one/alot/some cybernetics like limbs or eyes etc. This is for me at least can be in either category.
Robots: These have a processor to make decisions usually have a set mission and can't compute out of it. Technology
Androids: Much like cyborgs but these have an artificial brain rather than a living one. They can act outside of their mission and interact like a human to a degree. Mostly technology though it depends what kind of technique is used for creating artificial brain.
Transformers: Yup it sounds stupid but in Transformers universe robotic lifeforms exist (in the original generations at least and I think I remember reading some Superman volumes which features robotic lifeforms back in 80's) these can be counted as natural even since it is their natural state and they were notmade by either science or technology.
However CoH approaches to science as a biological/chemistry point rather than actual word and leave almost all physics related ones to technology. -
I think I prefer a toggle instead of destiny to cover my survivalbility so I don't need to click a power every 2 minutes but that is about all.

It is really dependant on how much % each tree will be giving.
I have at least a few pointers in my head for my kat/SR scrapper;
For melee I expect at least weave/tough level of def/resist but I am not sure how much I will be relying on it.
For support if it gives same level of bonuses as current leadership pool even as T4 than I may get it to remove three powers from my toon (assault, tactics and weave) get CJ, aid other and aid self instead.
For control tree I may go to scourge route depending on how much damage buff it gives and what else.
For assault it really depends on how much damage it stacks up but I think I will get at least T4 of it regardless of others. -
Quote:BAF doesn't need any +2 it can be done with all 50 and 50+1's assuming everyone is following instructions or at least reading mission tips.TPN is easier once you figure out how it goes, and can organize a small krew to clobber seers while the rest of the league beats up technicians. Until you can do that, it's a disaster.
BAF should be pretty easy. If everyone was dying and quitting, then you had a newbie league. It was either all unshifted or +1 like you, or all new folks who didn't know anything about it. An normal league with a bunch of +2 and +3 should be able to carry a similar number of new folks (Barrier for the win), but if you don't have enough shifted folks it is much more difficult.
Keep plugging away at those, is what I'm saying. Eventually, more folks will learn them, you'll get more shifts, and the trials will get easier. -
Stalker: nin/nin
Scrapper: Any weapon set/ Either regen or SR
Brute: TW or any SS/any resist or regen
Tanker: Invul/ any none-weapon
Blaster: Fire/Fire (though I don't like cliche combinations)
Defender: Emp/anything with no-weapon (bandaid anyone? :P)
Dominator: anything that doesn't have weapon really :P
Controller: Same as domi
Corruptor: Rad/Rad (just it fits to name)
Mastermind: well all are viable options but secondaries are meh at best i would like to see a leadership secondary instead of what we have for MM really. -
alot. Lets just say that I hit my purchase cap for 30 days for the feb and may :P Though much like op my hobbies are CoH and ps3 however I am really picky about my games eventhough most of them are not big-hits.
