Quote:Double click on the Accolade button, a window will open up and you can choose which Accolades to have on the character. They will all be turned on and off by single clicking on the button. The same is true for the Incarnate button right beside it.Quick question. I've only used mids once (borrowed a friend's computer to do so since I'm on a Mac). But I tried for 30 minutes and couldn't figure out how to set accolades. there's a nice big button up top. but it did nothing. And I went through what I thought were every option in the navigation pretty systematically to try and figure out how to set specific accolades. Never did find out how.

Quote:There are no badge missions or arcs before level 5 in Paragon. And you can't start the old contact system in AP anymore. The only way to get started on the old contacts is going to KR and doing the Safeguard. You outleveled them. Those contacts are only good through (I think) level 4 or 5. So head over to kings row. Alternatively, there is a really cool "find contacts" button now. If you open the contacts window its there and lets you cycle through contacts. You can even teleport straight to them.
If all else fails, head to kings row and talk to the detective, he will give you a radio. You can do 3 random missions, and then he will give you a job to protect the kings row or atlas park bank. After you complete the bank mission he will introduce you to a new contact and you'll be good to go.
But as Turgenev said, the single mission badges are all in Ouroboros, so it is easy to get them. And you can flashback to the tutorial and get Isolator (and Jailbird for villains) that way also. Doing the Safeguard missions at every step is also necessary for badgers because that is the only way to get those exploration badges. -
They said they are working on an SG transfer ability, so that people could move their SG to Exalted if desired. But it was not easy and no word on how long it would take or even if it would every work.
Not surprising really. One person SGs are easy, but what if 5 players want to transfer to a different server, but 8 others don't. Who gets the SG? Do they duplicate everything the SG owns on the second server? Or the SG name is taken by someone else on the other server. -

Quote:This would make so much sense. If only reality didn't kick it in the [PANCAKES]. You know. The fact that they are actually releasing new stuff every Tuesday. That means 4 or 5 times a month, not once a month just to catch the folks who are caught by this "glitch". And the weekly schedule actually matches up well with the fact that there are people with billing dates through out the entire month. So they'll probably deliver new content items on the 15th of each month. Whatever is the best time that their data tells them for grabbing those impatient buyers.
And for the really long term players, who have shown the most loyalty and the largest propensity for spending money on the game, the end of the month would make more sense than the 15th. Since that is when a large number of use would have their billing dates. Unless they are like several people on this thread and they didn't start for a week or so and thus are at the beginning of the month, so the release should happen then.
Really, way too much trouble for too little return for them. -
Quote:Hmm. My billing date is the 27th. So I will not get any points between Sept. 14 and October 27 (Assuming the points hit right on time.) which means I will be missing almost a month and a half of sales. Boy they are really screwing me, I want those points NOW so I don't miss any sales! As it stands, some players can now look forward to months of missing out on regular sales.
Quote:I think the one point that has been missed from the OP or not explicitly given is that there are weekly sales, if your stipend comes in after that week (when it should have) you missed a sale.
The one thing that could happen is that sales could be extended to be 2 weeks long addressing one of the key issues that the OP has presented and knowing the problem will persist for the next few months as it is corrected, this would be a reasonable solution.
Quote:The only thing that annoys me is that you get your token at the end of the cycle when it should be tied to the points at the beginning. When you pay for something you usually expect to get the product right away, not a month later.
I like this! I want! Can I get it on sale?
Quote:Important Distinction:
There are Paragon POINTS and they were planned to be and are being handed out once per month to VIPs.
There are Reward MERITS and they were planned to be given out in bulk for bulk subscriptions, but they ran into a coding/database issue with that and it will only be per month until/unless they work out a way (which they have said they would like to do). They also realize now and informed us that the Reward MERITS are delivered toward the end of the month and not the beginning.
Please try not to use the word POINTS when talking about Reward MERITS. It can cause a heap of confusion. And there is enough of that going around already! -
Quote:I have started using things like this on PopMenus. That way when I start a new character or something resets my windows, I don't have to remember the exact commands, I just use the popmenu that contains it and am good to go.Huh... I had no idea it would remain different for each window...
I see myself experimenting with the many possibilities!
And there goes another thing I didn't know about in this game, hehe.
Thank you! -

Quote:That is because you live in Paradise man. Everything is better there! This has ALWAYS made me boggle, because I have never seen that ever. They both come in packs of 12 where I live.
Definitely. Who wants those tiny hot dogs that come 10 to a pack. -
I hope this is not a leveling build. It is certainly not one for use on exemping. (And if you are planning on doing stuff like the Signature Story arcs, they are set up as lower level TFs.) I am going to base my comments on the idea that you are respecing at level 50 and never exemping.
My first thought is, you need more attacks. One of the primary tools for tanking and holding aggro is using your attacks and Gauntlet to keep the mobs attention. It is entirely possible to skip Taunt entirely and control aggro with just your attacks. Going the other way is also possible, especially for Inv, Fire, and Ice with their auras, but it is much harder. And having both methods available is the best plan.
One of the attacks you do have is Salt Crystals. I am guessing is for concept or as a mule for the set bonuses, since using it would immediately be negated by Footstomp. And if the build is for high level TFs or trials, the mobs are not going to be slept for long with your teammates pouncing on them.
I lean towards Perfect Zinger for 6 slotting Taunt, for the Fear resist, regen boost, and damage boost. But the bonuses from Mocking Bereavement make it a six of one, half dozen of the other argument. Mocking is probably the better choice for the higher recharge bonus and the Fire/Cold defense on your build.
You have your Fire/Cold defenses and resists higher than your Energy/Neg defenses and resists. They should probably be reversed. Fire and Cold attacks are much less prevalent in the end game than Energy and Negative Energy. Get your S/L defense capped, then Eng/Neg, then Fire/Cold is nice if possible, not but not necessary.
I would drop all of the places you have Gift of the Ancients and make Weave and Invincibility both 4 slots of LotG. 2 or 3 slots of LotG in Tough Hide and 1 slot Combat Jumping with the LotG: +Recharge. That gives you 4 +Recharge, +18% Accuracy, 63 HP, and +30% Regen. And if you keep and do the same to Maneuvers it is even better.
If you 5 slot Dull Pain with Doctored Wounds (Take one of the slots off of Combat Jumping), without making any other changes, you have it almost Perma with Hasten. (Perma-Hasten would make your DP perma, and would be possible, but I don't see how without spending a lot of Inf and lowering your defense values below soft cap.) -
The upside to them is of course, they are easy to get and wonderfully friendly for exemping. One downside is you can't use Enhancement Boosters on them, so 40 is the highest they will get. Which is not that big a deal, since the difference between a level 40 and level 50 IO is not that large.

Quote:Running everything but Keyes I am routinely hitting the caps on Def and Resists on my Inv solo build. Which is not anywhere close to capping either when solo. With Shield, he shouldn't have any problem at all.I'd say that you're very likely to most of the time have at least some def buffing from the league in the form of Destiny buffs, Force Fields, Leadership buffs or Shield Generators. If you've gotten your def above the soft cap you'll probably be sitting well above the Incarnate soft cap when you have aggro.

Quote:As of about 30 minutes ago Beta is staying pretty much the same build as Live. Stuff has been hitting Beta, then Test either right away or the next day, then Live.Beta server is for more dedicated testing, often closed beta testing (which is followed by open beta testing - which may or may not also be on Beta), e.g. Going Rogue and Freedom betas. It can be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than Test or Live, as it was during Freedom testing, though before I uninstalled Beta after the Freedom testing it was keeping pretty close patch-wise with Live (the same or one behind, basically matching Test - I don't know if it's still the same). Also, Beta isn't always available to log in to.

Quote:It will also release the name a few minutes after you leave the character creation field. Exactly how long it takes to release it is not known as of yet. Apparently it holds it long enough for a character transfer to take place anyway. If you use the new character creator, create a name in the name field, click the "search glass" and get a green check mark, that name is reserved, even if you change that name in that field but don't check for another name. To release that name, you have to change the name in that name field and click the "search glass".

Quote:That is probably because it doesn't matter when you are VIP. Everything on the list for Premium players is stuff you get included. It does show you what you get at the different levels as a VIP. If I want to check on what Premium players get, I find it much easier to go to Paragonwiki to find out what I want, whether I am playing the game or not.Yea, I started a linked free account just so I could check the premium reward levels. It won't even bother showing them if you're VIP.

Quote:The awarding of Points is a new system. Added with the Market and it makes sense that it comes at the start of your month, so you can spend those points ASAP (and they hope want to buy more). The Reward Tokens are built on the old Veteran Rewards system, which were awarded at the end of your billing cycle, because they were for actual time played, not for time purchased. It does make it harder to figure out where your account stands when compared to a system where all items are accrued on the same date. I am beginning to suspect the reason that this is not as simple as it seems it could be is one of conscious design.
Yet, as they say, one should be cautious attributing to motives to actions that may be adequately explained otherwise.
What is the very good reason for splitting things up so that some of them arrive at the end of the billing period and some arrive at the beginning of the period--give or take--instead of having them arrive on the same day as the bill for the items?
Obviously there must be a very good reason for doing it, or else it wouldn't have been done this way, right?
They meant to change that, so that if you purchased multi-month subscriptions you got the entire bunch of Tokens at the start of the cycle, but discovered late in the process it wasn't working. So we get the Tokens at the end of the monthly billing cycle, the way we used to get the Vet rewards.
They have said they want to fix it so the original proposal can be met, but unless/until that happens, we get the Tokens at the end of the month. (Barring any you get for purchasing Points of course.) -
It never stopped. I usually saw one or two on Virtue help every week before Freedom launched. And apparently it is very active in local near the Wentworth's in AP on Virtue and Freedom.
All the stuff put into the game because of the RMT spammers has never stopped it, just slowed it down. The influx of new players means the amount will increase, but not as much as the spammers would like, because of those limits. -

But what will happen when you transfer him back, if you do? If the "new" name is already taken on that server, you will again have to change it.

Quote:The thermometer to the side of the Paragon Rewards bush has what is unlocked for having enough tokens to fill each Tier. For VIP, it shows the VIP unlocks, mostly inventory & auctions slots, on Free/Premium accounts is shows the rewards for Premiums. Both site as ingame have little to no information on the unlocks per Tier, only bits of the bonus stuff you get per Tier if you are VIP.
But on the help channel, its pretty much the most asked question when <insert restriction> is unlocked or at what tier. (MM/troller AT, AE, trading/whisper, IO's etc). -

Quote:I took screenshots of my enhancements and switched back and forth between the graphics program and Mids'.This is quite literally the best thing since sliced bread. Believe it or not, we used to have to recreate an online build by entering it into Mid's by hand while tabbing back and forth between game and Mid's. Sliced bread can't hold a candle to using Sentinel with two mouse clicks.

Quote:As Arcanaville has mentioned in other places, if they put out as few as 3 free powersets in the next 11 months, that will be as more than they have averaged over the last 7 years. If they announce the next Issue and it doesn't have any free powersets, you should start to wonder. None in the next 2 Issues, complaining would not be out of line. But stating now that they are cutting us off or lowering the number of free sets, is being very premature. We know of five new sets since Freedom was launched. One was free. I know Titan Weapons will be Premium, and we don't know about Staff, but I'm assuming it will be Premium as well. That's 1 Free vs. 4 Premium.
Of course, they could have 100 free sets waiting in the wings, but I find that unlikely.
Since before this, in order to get a new powerset I would have to wait for a few more months for an Issue, or pay money for an Expansion (Some distant time in the future), I am not bothered by having to wait a few weeks for my next free points to get StJ. (Well, okay, I am bothered, but only because I want to play with it, not because it costs something. And once I start my job again, I will not have to wait as much.)
