  1. Maybe just allow confusion powers to be cast on Turndown Girl.

Maybe followed by fortitude and stamina on the pair if all goes well.

Actually, given the desperation and how long he's been in the cold, a slow may be required.

I've always thought this a very sweet tale (apart from the dying part, obviously), and I always dwell on it for a second whenever I meet Coyote in the tutorial (I always do the tutorial). It strikes me now that it may just be a myth, of course.

I was wondering, with the new tutorial zone Galaxy City On Fire or whatever, will they be firing Coyote?

I for one hope they move him into the new tutorial zone.

    Eco
    Likewise.
Coyote was one of the first things I thought of when I heard of the new tutorial.
Is the old tutorial being completely replaced? Or is the new tutorial alongside the old?

I may have missed it if it has been said, but do we know where the 'defeated' escaping prisoners get sent? If we've not been told then maybe we are porting them somewhere for deprogramming.

Add team burns down 9CU/Vickys, both teams take down their AV.

With luck, Trial completes. Bonus Astral Merits for taking them down without dragging them to the Tennis Courts, for not touching the gun tower controls, hopefully for not letting any mindwash prisoners escape, and hopefully for having no adds about on defeat of Nightstar/Siege.

Bam. One BAF, Union Style. Tennis courts? This ain't Wimbledon.
Much prefer these Mo-style runs - which are by-far the most common style on Union. Though it's fairly often the case that NS doesn't get pulled between the bivouacs - leaving squishies a little more exposed to tower-fire.

Been dissappointed on the few BAFs I've done on Defiant that they tend to run the more boring and slightly safer tennis-court AV-pull style.

Back when I were't lad we had real debt - permadebt - not this nansy-pansy thing the kids call debt nowadays.

An' we 'ad no fancy-smancy patrol xp to remove it.

If you do a Lambda or BAF, therefore, be sure to let your team mates know you are new and need to be told what to do.
Keyes appears simple enough and does have defined stages with identifiable tasks - better than Lambda imo as the yard/turret clearing is done to different degrees by diferent leagues - but it's so new that there's a lot of headless-chickenism going on. Give it a couple of months and there'll be enough people running around with MoKeyes.

If you want to try a trial but can't handle chaos then avoid any trial that isn't at least a month on live.

Although, as cat states, once people figure out how to do a trial then there's possibly less communication and it can be more confusing for a newbie-trialler as the leaders start to assume that everyone knows the 'accepted' solution and associated terminology.

    Fixed.

On my 1st or 2nd trial I got caught in the background (turning the corner from the road onto the bridge) whilst superspeeding back from hospital. It's not right to kick immediately for accidentally being in the cutscene whilst doing their best to participate fully.

Anyone caught doing any emote in the cutscene is obviously a different matter.

Some of the Union ones I've been on are quite organised but there's still enough that are pretty much as Dechs described.

You're right - it may take a HUGE development timeframe, longer than the six, nearly seven MONTHS since the live introduction of the Incarnate system.

i.e. Even if PS decided to implement a solo or small team Incarnate path six, nearly seven MONTHS ago they may not have been in a position to move staff onto it straight away and it may take more than six, nearly seven MONTHS to design and implement once resources are available and commited.

And I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't drop everyone off all other content/development to 'fix' this ASAP.

What we are seeing now was in internal test over a year ago. They may have missed something that you want but they're better doing it right than just putting in a quick fix that may just end up annoying as the current situation.

Of course, they may already have something planned and in testing - maybe even for the past year or so...

But as ever in software development (and many other pursuits): Cheap. Fast. Right. Pick any two.

    Yup - that's a pain.

It's often the case that I can see the text saying who is being disintegrated (though even that goes a little quickly when you're in a PuG and don't 'know' half the names) but can't spot them to target them in time.

A highlight would help, or a little more warning/time between ticks to let me scan the names of the other 23 players in the league.

It's ironic that this trial seems to like having characters with power to heal others, but one of the main reasons for this is so unfriendly to single-target heals.

You've never completed a single trial despite (presumably repeated) attempts of these team pursuits with some guy barking orders in your ear?

Have you considered that it's not actually your fault (past picking a team/league consisting of the sort of bozos who get off barking orders over chat)?

Get a league of reasonably competent players who try their best using ingame chat and most trials will succeed (and probably be far more fun than being ordered about by captain shouty).
  14. Only done one run so far, but didn't spot that happen - where is he getting stuck? And which phase?
  15. Every trial/TF seems to get called 'too hard' or needing specific powers on launch day and for a few weeks after.

Every trial/TF later seems to have multiple ways to success once people get used to it.

There's nothing in Keyes that can't be countered in several ways -be it incarnate abilities, insps, healing powers - hell even aid other/self or personal witch temps.

It's good to see that the old style of a challenging AV equalling mega-HP and regen has finally gone and the newer trials/TF big bads have a wider variety of interesting powers/tactics.

Does locking teams in a league affect this? (I honestly have no idea exactly what locking or the LFG queue should be doing)

I ask partly as every trial I've been in (enough Lambdas to fill my xp and about 4 BAFs, all on Union) the league leader has requested the teams be locked before starting.

The queue doesn't seem to work as well as other games queues I'm familiar with (mind you, iirc, other games tend to auto-enter you into instances if you don't quit the queue whilst CoX auto-cancels so maybe we've gone for a unique implementation).

Of course, renaming all the NA accounts rather than the EU accounts affects an equal number of accounts, which is the minimal number.
The announced solution affects the minimum number of player accounts but may affect more than the minimum number of players.

Consider a name clash caused by a inactive trial account on the NA side and an (active or temporarily inactive) full account on the EU side.
    - renaming the EU side affects 1 player.
    - renaming the NA side affects none.

Stripping out trial accounts that have been inactive for a reasonable time period* would ensure the minimum number if players affected.

*I'd have thought most trial conversions happen within a month - but they'll have all relevant data on this.

Whilst any solution is likely to upset someone, I'd like to know if there's a proposed solution to the trial account issue.

Many EU players have set up a trial NA account at some point, and it's galling to think that much weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth may be caused by players having created their own name clash with a dormant trial.

IIRC many EU players set up NA trials when NC (pretty much) closed the Brighton offices, as it was thought that the EU servers may have followed and NA trials were a way to 'reserve' your global... Ironic.

Think I'm in that boat myself...
