Quote:It was a pretty empty threat given that Alice just rolled her eyes each time and kept being in charge.Fred was always the man of the house (without the threat of battery like in the Honeymooners).
I don't have any sacred memories of the Flintstones or anything so I'm not worried about it being "ruined" but... why on earth do we need a reboot of the Flintstones (as opposed to an original series which MacFarlane has proved Fox will let him do whatever)? Is this filling some need I was unaware of? -
Who's these Crazy 88 guys and why aren't they holding weekly costume contests in Atlas Park???

You used to be able to accidentally skip Black Swan in the old arc as she wasn't required to complete the mission and you might not have even seen her on the large outdoor map if you stumbled across the clickie first.
I'm fairly sure the new arc makes each AV defeat a mission goal so you can't skip one on accident. -
Well, 11 AVs are in one arc, one in another and the last one is Siege. It's not so bad.
The Antimatter arc used to be extremely painful with a bunch of kill-alls but the revised version can be breezed through as it's now a bunch of "Kill Boss" and "Click Glowie" missions.
I have a redside Brute I'm trying to level through the content (never played red past 35) so I'll probably stay true to my alignment for the accolade badges and get the full redside Portal Jockey experience along the way. -

It used to be (and maybe still is) that the new AV arc is missing Siege. You can run the one-off arcs from Maria Jenkins to get him. You don't need to run all of them, just pick a mission, abandon it and ask her for another mission until you get the one mentioning Siege in it.
Siege (in the arc, not Incarnate Trial Siege) is a pain to fight due to a big self-heal when he hits 20% or so, so if you fought him you'd probably remember it.
Edit: Did you get Antimatter as well? I think you did but couldn't remember based on the revamped arc names. -
Quote:Not that this has much to do with how you personally play (or the fast & loose rules of Comics World), but short of a state finding of mental incompetence, you're free to leave a hospital whenever you like even if it's medically unsound. They'll try to get you to sign some waivers but no hospital is going to risk an assault or kidnapping lawsuit by trying to keep you against your will.I am "hardcore" now in a way that I find satisfying: if I pick a toon to run, and he or she gets hospitalised, well--so sorry, but you are done for the night. I won't delete a toon I put a lot of effort & time into, but we all know you don't get nearly really killed, and then jump up eager to rush right out again. You would probably be kept for observation. If you objected, they would bring in someone who could enforce the medical decision. And there's always someone who can make you stay, no matter your level.

He's since been culled to make space but I used to have the Bad Czech.

LOL -- Powerstream's is much cleaner and I don't know how I missed it before posting mine.

For the record, I personally have no trouble reaching Ouro and can always just re-costume one of my existing lvl 25+ characters. I only mentioned it on the off chance you hadn't considered it. When someone is advertising a CC, I assume they want to greatest possible participation.
-
Your contest, your decision and all that but isn't that a bit self-limiting since no one under lvl 25 can participate?
-
I play on Virtue and always toyed with the idea of trying a VV page but never buckled down to do it. I suppose this should motivate me to give it a whirl.

There's only two auras that can be placed exclusively on feet and don't have to be set for the whole body. One is a smoke-style one which is pretty anemic and hard to see (it was one of the original lvl 30 auras) and a "crumbling stone" one, also in the lvl 30 set. I would like to see more auras available as "feet only" so we can wreathe our feet in flames or mist or smoke or whatever else.

Quote:I breezed through 21 last night on my DP/NRG blaster without a hitch. Even soloed Protean with my gimpy lvl 20 DOs (used a bunch of inspirations). Attacks mainly slotted with 3x Damage, 1 Acc, 1 EndRx.I had a similar experience with my Stone/Stone brute at that level. I've since switched over to a SS/Stone brute and have not noticed similar problems at that level.
That said, I don't doubt the experiences in the OP for a second. I think some sets are just smoother than others around that level. -
I think he is planning to buy SOs direct from the AE since he lacks influence rather than hoping for an IO to resell. Especially since he admits to knowing very little about the IO system.

Quote:A little over dramatic, ya think? VU2011 has a hundred people on it and has never threatened to spam out my chat window despite being a social chat channel AND being used for teams, TFs, etc. Heck, you don't even see ten straight minutes of a couple people talking most of the time. How many members do you think a popular channel has online at any given time? Surely at least a hundred.
Presumably they joined the channel because they wanted to hear about TFs forming or whatever the channel topic is. Do you think that one hundred people want to have their chat window spammed with someone's random conversation? For ten minutes straight?
Obviously who ever is the mods, it's their rules, etc etc. I'm not denying that. But your comments go well over the border into SillyLand in your defense of heavy moderation. One would think there's a middle ground between strict moderation and spamming chaos.
Edit: I conflated Chyron's argument with that of Redbone who said:
Quote:The quick answer is because if YOU have have a 10 minute off-topic discussion then so can everyone else. If 100 people all start a nonconcurant 10 minute conversation that's 1,000 minutes of offtopic discussion. 16 hours 40 minutes, and that's if they all conduct just one off topic one. if they get involved in it nad have several, you can fill the day easily. If each 10 minute conversation is just one line ever 10 seconds, that's 6,000 offtopic lines in which the actual topic is now mixed. -
Quote:I didn't think to include them since I was looking at your headshots. Just to soothe your curiosity:Id have included her claws but didn't have any idea which one she used and its a really fun (yet busy ) costume design. I think iF I had to draw her again as a chibi id cut down on the amount of straps and buckles .

I'm more in favor of "intelligent" moderation -- i.e. moderating when the chatter threatens to disrupt the actual channel function. I think a little chit-chat can be good for the life of a channel since tight restrictions on when speaking is permitted can lead to people largely forgetting the channel even exists. Plus a sense of community is always a good thing.
In the case of the channel in question in the OP (I can guess), most of its function seems to have been farmed out to less restrictive channels. It's still used but whatever requests are made there are usually mirrored in the social globals as well, from what I've seen lately. -
I've been playing a few lowbies but, ironically enough, stopped trying to get them IO sets (even for Frankenslotting) because there was never anything available for sale. I'll have to drop by WW's again.

Quote:Why not just run a BAF with 12 people or a Lambda with 8? It's very doable and, in some ways, more entertaining than the packed-trial zergfests. Not that packed-trial zergfests don't have their own charm. The trials scale to league size anyway. Also, for every successful TF or raid I run there is one where the raid half forms, I wait around for 30 minutes, and the whole thing is abandoned due to lack of players.
There's no good reason for a "half formed" raid to collapse without starting. -
This would also be a great time to run a name purge. Having a better chance of getting a name you like on a server would encourage you to make (or transfer) characters on/to that server.
-
Too late now but this would have been a great time to do a name purge. Nothing inspires starting a new character (and buying a slot to put him in) like finding a great name.
