  1. I'm just getting a feeling like I've stepped back into my old Dungeon Keeper game!!

Goonies atm concentrate on tech salvage to build stuff, we have 3 tech worktables, and thus we built an arcane empowerment station to burn away the arcane salvage, and to prevent the temptation of using tech salvage to buffs .

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good call. I added the empowerment station last night to the Sisterhood of Hades base but will swap it over to the arcane version for the same reason. I do like the enhancement & inspiration storage... very useful for the high level Sisters to leave presents for the lower levels. The storage Logs are handy as well to keep an eye on any abuse of trust.

Rain of Fire on my fire blaster is used as a defence thing rather than an attack. Scatters mobs when the melee gets too much for a blastery type, and nice for that, but be careful because every bugger and his dog will want to shoot you after they escape the shower.

I second this. RoF makes a great "scatterer", but watch the incoming aggro. I have a number of alts and have found my fire/kin to be one of the best for taking down the big boys. I solo more than team and so have played a necro/dark MM to lvl 40 and a EM/EA Brute so far to lvl 33. Fighting one of the nasty EB's solo - Ballista 1, resulted in faceplants for both the MM and the Brute, but my fire/kin managed it without any problems at all. And now I have the snipe power...muahahaha..

    Tanker Epics

I have a lvl 50 stone/stone tank. The Epic pools suited him superbly. The combination of Hasten/Conserve Power is fantastic - a rapid attack chain that uses little endurance. His laser-beam eyes firing out from a shell of granite looked sooo good. Definitely the best compliment to all the powers already taken.
  5. From the Test Server, the storage points (Enhancements, Salvage and Inspirations) all have a maximum containment of 999 items.

They can only be placed in the Workshop and so I'm already designing the Sisterhood base ready for i7...if only I could transfer that 36 Million prestige along with the I7 install!!!

Grats on making it into the top 100 and good luck climbing that latter. Just remember fun comes first

On a side note to enjoy's cough. Wonder if there's any male only SG *ponders* One that could stand up against the evil tyranny that is the female only SG's. A thought just popped into my head a all male SG doing the whole line-up showdown against the femmes, males all wearing speedos of course

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, oddly enough, one of our Coalition groups is the Brotherhood of Hades. (Good old Father Hades had no imagination, you see!!)

    *cough* VILLAINS, not heroes!! :P

But I wouldnt have anything said against the Femmes (including the Fallen Femmes on Vilains) and indeed would welcome them into our evil coalition.

BTW, as of this morning, the Sisterhood is 82nd...one step behind the Femme Academy (an affiliate of the Fallen Femmes, if their VG description is to be believed)
  8. Because of the times and duration I usually play (because of Real Life, home and kids!) I find that most of my playing time is spent solo.

I have a very nice plant/thorn dominator who has reached lvl 19 and she is very successful in teams but I would be interested in people's views about whether one can have a successful solo dom at the 19-30 level (I can see that solo is easier post level 32 after big pets appear)

I somehow picked a nice little number called Howling Night/Moon/Wind or something

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Howling Twilight.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, its Howling NightMoonWind, everyone knows that.

Dont worry about yourself. Concentrate on your minions. I am a lvl 40 necro/dark MM and (apart from Brawl) have no "offensive" powers at all, but instead concentrate on holds, heals & debuffs and controlling my boys (and fluffy) who do the killing I need!

the Sisterhood of Hades has now broken into the top 100 Villain Groups. Currently at 96th place (and rising)

    Brute for PvP

Green-Peace (the Rainbow Warrior) was built with EM/EA, mainly for PvE, but I wanted a build that would be superb for PvP. (I have Micropimp, my lvl 41 regen/spiny scrapper who is quite good at PvP, but I wanted better...and I don't like the one-shot then fragility of a stalker)

Green-Peace is now at lvl 28 and has a good range of abilities but to make up some more infamy (and earn a couple of badges), I took her to Bloody Bay to kill Shivan and Freakshow. Whilst SJ-ing around, I noticed a fragile looking scrapper just emerging from the hero base and so thought I'd have a go... stealth-mode engaged (energy cloak)...sneaky sneaky.. BAM.. disorientated straightaway.. a few more hits and the scrapper was toast, without the Fury bar getting much above half full. A few minutes later, a gun-toting blaster appeared. Same story.

Now, with a reputation of 2, I feel invincible.. and more than happy with my choices. Disorient powers really do the business for me in PvE and PvP.

P.S. Just got the energy drain power and so now can run with all defences active and just top up the power when needed - one recharge SO is all it takes to maintain the equalibrium.

  13. My global ID is @Rax (from my lvl 50 stone tank days) and so please feel free to contact me that way if you would like to join. We have Sisters online of all levels and, once they have passed a basic initiation of earning some prestige (amounts vary) then they can recruit you as well as the more senior Sisters.

As for me, I can often be found around Mercy Island anyway.
  14. /em blow own trumpet

A most successful all-female (toon at least) Supergroup, spawned from the Church of Hades and the teachings of our beloved Father Hades. We are a very active group, often with >30 of our Sisters online each day.

Our base is fully functional and open to all within our glorious evil coalition, particularly our large (armed and dangerous) teleporter room for all six (currently) map zones.

We have no strict rules, other than playing in Supergroup mode when possible and we offer guidance and advice to those players who have less experience in the wonderful world of villainy.

Loyalty is rewarded with promotion within the ranks. Co-operation and sharing of salvage, etc is also rewarded with gifts of infamy, enhs etc.

The Mother Superiors of the order can often be found around Mercy Island. Blind invites to the Supergroup are not our way - we study carefully all potential applicants (..apart from the accidental blind invite to a male character I did in Mercy the other day...how embarrassing.)

We would love to expand our numbers...please join us.

    Harriet.

PS for all those people who accuse us of sexism, our coalition includes the Brotherhood of Hades for those toons less fortunate than the girls. Look out for Necrotic Despoiler or other Brothers for an invite.
  15. I made the mistake of choosing this power with one of my alts as the description made it sound superb...sadly, i thought it was just a toggle power like the other Leadership powers. How wrong was i? Needless to say, it was respecced out at the first possible opportunity..
  16. I have a lvl 14 plant/thorn dominator and am really looking forward to this power since reading this thread.

In PvP, is this following invisible patch clever enough to launch against invisible foes (namely Stalkers) who are sneaking up to assassinate poor squishy me? I just imagine a stalker thinking how invulnerable as he sneaks up behind me, suddenly getting a faceful of vines, etc. Hehehehe

    Pets Upgrading

MY personal choice was to pick Hasten. It reduces the recharge time for all powers and is particularly useful for recharging Dark Empowerment (the lvl 32 "upgrade").

So, at the start of each mission I switch on Hasten, summon all my henchmen (3 zombies, 2 Knights and the Lich), cast the first upgrade on each pet, the 2nd upgrade on the knights and Lich then I have to Rest before then summoning Dark Servant and then proceeding.

You get into a routine with all this so it doesnt really take too long. I then cast Dark Empowerment on the zombies as, and when, it recharges.

With Dark Servant and all my pets fully upgraded, they all have good attacks, all can heal themselves and are so lovable and cuddly.. ok, forget about the last bit.

    My First MM

My first MM (Herbert West – Reanimator) was Necro/Poison and I got him to level 30 very quickly, but hated the poison pool right from the start. So I killed him off and created his sister, Harriet (who had stolen his secrets and reanimated her brother as one of her zombies) who had Dark Miasma as a secondary. The only reason for not picking DM originally was that Mistwitch is my lvl 38 Dark/Dark defender and I always prefer to try out new powers.

Harriet West has now reached lvl 38 and has Dark Servant to compliment her army… combined with 3 zombies, 2 grave knights, 1 lich and an occasional ghost…ooh, what fun!! I love the holds and debuffs from the Dark Miasma pool – combines fantastically with the pets.

I have mainly been solo throughout all this time, because of the antisocial times I play and the fragmented time I get (kids, don’t you just love em), but Harriet is the proud leader of the Sisterhood of Hades Supergroup. She has played in Supergroup mode more or less exclusively since her creation and I have no shortage of infamy due to intelligent selling of enhancements.

Definitely one of the best characters I have played

Hehe. I've been surprised at the amount of people that have said no to speed boost recently, even on open maps... No point slotting it even for Stone tanks, it's still fast.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Speed Boost is superb fun and very necessary for my Stone Tanker. But even with Granite on, I have found myself needing to activate Rooted because I was travelling too fast and running right through the groups I was trying to attack!!
  20. I like to try most ATs to see what I am comfortable with. Because of the times I play and the external distractions I have (e.g. Wife and Kids..lol) I find that I prefer to have a character who I can comfortably solo with as well as someone who works well in a team. My "pure healer", for example, is fun to play but I have to play in a team.
This has meant that I have not cultivated a blaster-type before now as I never found one I was comfy with, until now. My new Fire/Kinetic Corruptor (Burnt Cinnamon, now lvl 11) is just so much fun to play. I find it easy to manage the aggro as I snipe more than use AoE, holding back on Fireball and Rain of Fire until i've picked off some of the minions. I have teamed a couple of times and of course things are much much easier and it is more fun playing the buffer/healer/blaster that way. Added bonus with this character is that she is in a superb fledgling Supergroup (the Sisterhood of Hades on Defiant) with a bunch of great people.
  21. To be completely honest, I have never felt the need to take Health and Stamina for my spiny/regen - I manage perfectly well without them.

This has left me free to take those PvP "cute" powers such as TP foe, etc.
  22. For me, it still has to be my first PvP in Warburg. My spiny regen scrapper against an "unfriendly" blaster who thought he could take me on. I'd slap him about a bit and he would try to fly away to snipe at me - each time he got high enough, I used Impale to watch him crash back down to earth again. So funny.

2nd PvP was against a Brute. He ran out of Endurance quite quickly and was easily dispatched. When he came back looking for me, boosted to the max, I used my Wolf Whistle and Me n my doggie kicked his [censored].

3rd PvP not so good. Damn stalker with AS, flying faster round me than I could deal with (due to lag etc).. This time, it was me being Faceplanted. And Damn that "Placate" power...

All in all great fun - seriously gets my blood racing when its a close fight.
