I was holding out for the truck being Black Convoy/Scourge instead of Bay mucking about with Megatron yet again. I would have much rather have had Megatron "reformatted" into an approximation of Galvatron (and maybe hinting at the existence of Unicron).
Ah well.
As a side, I think the ship on the moon looks a bit more like a Bayformer version of the Nemesis than the Ark. -
Six pages of comments so far and almost wholly negative. I wonder if Marketing will get the hint this time.
*looks back at the post count concerning the last time they did this, winces*
Um... the safe bet would be probably be on "Nope."

Quote:I always thought they were a bit too long, myself. It is shorter by 2 weeks. Last year's event was close to a month. Maybe they're managing player densities for events this year. But like the shortened halloween event felt somewhat pressuring, i might not be as into this one as well, especially with the holiday stuff i need to do.
Oh well. -
Banished Pantheon... with a side order of Nemesis.
BP are so underused. -
Hmmm...
* Low XPs as opposed to standard missions
* Tickets as rewards
* Real "gold" too hard to find amongst the "dross"
* Unregulated rating system
* Too many Exploiters lurking about (small hands, smell like cabbage)
That about covers it. -
Quote:Or it could be that Vanessa became disturbed with the two different mindsets of the Resistance (one to freedom, the other to anarchy) and branched off on her own to loosen the hold of Mother on the seers.... it requires a schism between Vanessa and the rest of the Resistance and a complete loss of sanity to try to put something as non sequitor as an army of mask wearing psychic carnies in a place as McGrimDark as Praetoria.
The mask, however is not non sequitor at all. It's a symbol that Mother a) has become well acquainted with and b) is greatly disturbed by. What better icon for your faction to wear. -
They're an OK start. When I can have sonic blasts come from my chest emitter, energy beams from my eyes, or dark blasts from my mouth... then I'll be all about it.

Ah... yet another attempt to justify Chloe's continued existence on the show. I'll be she saves the day! *gag*
But, I've found two reasons to give the show to the end of season 2:
1) Alien Combat Drones
2) Hopefully watching Eli slip into insanity. After all, Smallville got so much more fun after Crazy Tess. *crosses fingers* -
Quote:No, but it is against the EULA (that you and every player agreed to when you joined, I might add.) to exploit a bug in the system. Which AE ExFarms are created with the express purpose of doing. It's cheating, plain and simple. It's now an EULA violation for using the tools provided in game for gain?
It's much like playing backgammon (or most any other dice-using game) but instead of rolling the dice, you simple set the dice down to whatever you want them to read each turn. Sure, the dice don't prevent that action, after all its just "using the tools you were given." But, do that with any player, any organized league, whatever and you'll be asked stop or to leave. Why should cheating be dealt with any differently in this case?
Quote:There's a large difference between abuse and exploit.. I suggest a couple of you look into it. What's happening is abuse, not exploiting... ...get the polluted "we are innocent!" version)
Quote:Personally I don't understand the devs adversity to farming... ...merit bonanza, and eventually AE.
Quote:Players are going to find a way, it's not their fault to be honest...
There are people that specifically look for game issues and then report them. These people are called are troubleshooters (as well as other flattering terms)... they even get a badge for that in CoH. Many honest fun-loving people with an interest in the game proudly wear the "Bug Hunter" badge.
Then, there are the others, people that specifically look for game issues and then instead of reporting them, use them to circumvent the established function and format of the game. These people are called are cheaters (as well as other not-so-flattering terms), and it is very much their fault. Theirs and whoever in their formative years never impressed upon them that cheating is wrong.
Mores that pity that many of these people tend to use the "we're just using the tools" argument to justify the cheating. It ranks right up there with "Honey, she meant nothing to me," "I didn't realize I'd had that much to drink, officer," and "I was cleaning it and it just went off.... 6 times"

Quote:What if I wanted to make a really fancy story arc of my own and it just happened to have alot of XYZ mobs in it that happen to be tailored to my /ELA brute's strengths? Do I get a strike? Am I gonna get banninated?
But...
If while making your super-de-dooper custom you use an exploit to make it work faster and better, instead of reporting it in a petition so the issue can be resolved, then a resounding yes... you should get a reprimand, a strike, banninated, tarred, feathered, spackled, scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, diced, peppered AND capped.
Quote:It's really rediclious how uppity people get about AE, farming, and leveling in this game.
Quote:In short, yes, if EXP was removed from AE, it would die it's already slow coming death.
But that's just my opinion, you're welcome to yours. Isn't this a great country or what! -
I say restore the rewards of AE to the way they were at release, then adopt a "three-strike-you're-out" policy for creating exploit arcs. After all, anyone doing it knows they're violating the EULA by now.
Once a reported mission has been confirmed by a GM that it's an exploit farm (ExFarm):
1st strike: All Global's missions are removed, Global gets a warning by email (restating the policy), and losses the ability to publish an AE mission for 30-days
2nd strike: All Global's missions are removed, Global gets a final warning by email (restating the policy and reiterating the final consequences of account closure), they lose the ability to publish an AE mission for 30-days, and the account is suspended for 7-days.
3rd strike: All Global's missions are removed, Account is Closed for repeated EULA violations.
Everyone, except the exploiters of course, would be happy. 8} -
I went ahead and picked up the Mac Pack

Ok... Opinions then. I'm looking for a Archer with gadgets. Rank these choices for me (best to worst) if you would:
Blaster Archery/Devices
Corruptor Archery/Traps
Corrupter Archery/Trick Arrow
Defender Traps/Archery
Defender Trick Arrow/Archery -
Should they be capped? Nah.
They should have however adopt a eBay-liketime for sales - 3, 5, 7, or 10 days - as well as a rating system for sellers. 8D -
It seemed a long-winded contrived way to get a shuttle replaced.
With a ship that big there's no repair parts or redundancy for a vital system like a shuttle? My take would have been:
Eli: Col. Young, the Kinos just found an area that look like an support bay and guess what. There's two or three shuttle hulls and enough spare parts to get at least one of them up and running.
Young: That's great, I'll put together a team to start work on one.
There, 58 minutes left for another plot *without* temporary zombie crew members.
Seriously, one more epi until the season "half-time," they better have a helluva an episode planned. Jack O'Neil comeing to the Destiny's rescure riding an F-302 like Slim Pickens on the bomb in Dr. Strangelove would be good. -

Quote:Did you hear? It's not Skiffy killing SG:U it... well "US" acordingin to James Rundle: http://www.scifinow.co.uk/news/opini...hing-universe/Because "SyFy" hates sci-fi. That's why they changed their name and started airing wrestling and all that other crap.
See... it's all our fault for liking the past show's fun brain-candy escapist approach (and approach that kept the show going strong for 10 years, and only stopped because they Skiffy got the award and then canceled it.) instead of the new direction into the lost hopelessness-ness of the darkness of the agony of the souls of the doomed, struggling, horny novice crew?
How could we possibly like the upbeat, slightly pulpish, optimistic casts of SG:1 and SG:A more than such a panoply of such eyerollingly damaged, caustic, back-biting, untrustworthy, immature, banal, and thoroughly uninteresting manikins of the Destiny?
Who needs, super-science doodad equipped, technobabbley, tongue-n-cheek snark-powered daring-do adventure on alien vistas when we've go a ship full of... well, ship. Oh... and maybe another ship. And a deserted planet here and there.
See... it's all our fault. 8P
Seriously, you'd think with the ratings scrubbing like they are, that someone higher up would have looked down by now and said:
"Hmmm... you know all that gritty artistic humanity you were gonna interject into the new series? Well, dip-****... it's not called 'Battlestar Destiny' and it's not working. The mid-season breaks coming up... Fix it! If you're not sure how, here's Ben Browder and Claudia Black's numbers, find a way to get them on-board. Somebody head down to the bar and get Chris Judge... or and break glass and let Richard Dean Anderson out again. I wanna see Aliens, Zats, and an Tel'tak on the shuttle pad by the spring return or we're firing the lot of ya!"
Personally, the only reasons I continue to watch at this point is to a) give it to the mid season as I promised some friends of mine, b) heckle it a bit (Frikking Chloe...), and c) to see what shenanigans Doctor Smit... err... Rush is going to get up to this time. Unless they have something so bang-pow-zing coming up, I'm gonna free up some more time on the old DVR soon. -
Happened to me this morning with a freespec. No outstanding levels, no unresolved teaming or arcs. Shifting zones allowed my respec to work, as well as replaced my missing Enhs

This just in: The cover will feature a tattered web hanging on a piece of re-bar, and will be available in a limited edition laser-etched, fully scent-enableg "Reflectomagic" cover, embossed with a secret image of Goblinsday.
Dear Marvel... How 1992 of you. 8D -
Well. I've seen most of the trailers since this long and absurd farce began.
From Kevin Smith's multiple script rejections and ousting off the project to Rogan's snarky and disrespectful comments that the Green Hornet was a "long forgotten character that few people knew or cared about" that heralded the project's "shift in direction" from a serious project to Action/Comedy. Then through the multiple cast and crew injuries and resignations over "creative differences," and Gondry's verbal tantrums about the immense amount of email and public flack he was getting from that aforementioned "non-existent" mutli-generational fan base. And then the multiple false starts and delays, studio postponements and re-shoots and final now the 3-D treatment.
Let's face it... Rogan and Gondry are finishing this project - one that even the Universe seems to be against (and that's saying a lot with Uwi Boil still slithering through the back lots of Hollywood) - out of spite, and this point even if they managed to produce "War and Peace" no one's going to take it seriously.
I will say this, that *IF* what is shown in the trailer is the *full* extent of the stupid jokey crap, I might accidentally *find* a copy of it at some point, just to see if I was right or wrong. But I can promise that not one thin dime of mine will go to support this film, not after the way Rogan and Gondry have behaved in regards to the franchise and it's not-so-inconsiderable fan base.
I urge any fans of the franchise to *not* financially support this film, even if just out of curiosity. -
To me, Low level content show be about building your character up, not kicking it down... over... and over... and over again.
* End was the biggest issue to make you feel non-heroic, but I19 seems to be fixing that.
*ditch NPC attacks like -regen and anything else that weakens your already weak character, should should be figuring out you powers, not struggling to survive that guy with a knife. Don't start introducing these in NPCs until after 10th, or restrict them to bosses.
* Not ever gangster in the street has to be a challenge. In-fact they shouldn't be... most heroes/viillians at the beginning of their careers can wade through street-level thugs. Give Low level *normal* guys a fixed level and leave it. You should feel like a hero from the very start. You should be building confidence, not frustration.
And one general comment.
* In development, test every new encounter using solo controllers/doms. If you develop with IOed out, min/maxed Brutes or Scrappers in mind that's all your going to end up with. Every mission should be able to be completed - with a little thought -by any Archetype, solo or teamed -
