Going on 4 hours... no response.

Quote:I lost 118 Million, with "zero" response from the GmsAw, I lost one enhancement to offline emails when I sent the mail before I realised whole mail thingy was down. The funny thing is that I don't even remember anymore if it was impervious skin: +mez resist or impervium armor: +psionic resist so I can't probably even ask support to help with this.
Teaches me to pay more attention. Still, annoying.
Luckily I didn't try to mail the +kb prot enhancement that the guy also has. -
Looks like they just ganked me for 118 mill of into email oblivion

Quote:There's nothing to make up for... WW/BM is down.... Tech Things Happen.A few free server transfer tokens?
It's painless and didn't end the world when you gave us two months of free transfers. Quite a few people have come back to the game because of the awesome content that's been added and are bummed out that they missed the transfers. Also, what about adding in transfer tokens into some of the sub-par vet rewards? -
Quote:Is that where we all went? *Looks at all the vets he's played with the last week, gets out a bullhorn so they can hear him at the back*This new i17 has really made me want to switch to WoW..which is where most of the CoH vets have gone already, anyway..
"Hey... Guys... OMG we're in the wrong place right now! We're supposed to be playing WoW right now. That's where we've all gone!" -
I figured it out... it's taking so long because Ultra-Mode is just too "meh" to accentuate the awesomeness of Dragonberry.
They have since been adding DEEBLEMODE! -
Go play my D3 after shuttling around some inf

I *think* that there's been a redraw factor, simply because war mace can't select Arachnos maces as an option. I don't think they unlock for War Mace when you get the patron powers.
It would be all sorts of cool if they did. -

Quote:I'LL BE DEAD BY THEN!!!See sig.
Also, there are groups such as Arachnos Elite Forces, the Wraith Spiders, and a few others I've seen that are still around.
(Note: The Arachnos Elite formed on day one of the 3 day CoV headstart. I closed its doors last year because of a direction I was planning on taking the group, that ended up becoming more of a hassle with running multiple groups, heroside as well as villainside. The scheduled return is for the release of Going Rogue.)
And JetBoy... the wait will definately be worth it
Ok... maybe not, but still... 8P
Did I mention that Crossbows been holding garage sales at the base to fund his beer habit?
((Nice logo, btw, AC)) -
They're adding one hour for each thread posted asking when they'll be back up... THANKS A LOT Shuriken_BladeX!!!

There's quite a few of those out there already.

Quote:In real life?These days, hitting 1 billion or even the Inf cap of 2 billion just seems old hat. You can do that with a single lucky PvP IO. So I was wondering, what total Inf value do people consider filthy rich, and what does it take to be obscenely rich? I'm talking across all characters, slotted IOs, outstanding bids, stuff in base storage, red and blue side, etc. I'm thinking 20 Billion Inf would be considered Filthy Rich, while 100 Billion would be Obscenely Rich. I'm guessing a lot of the farmers and Marketeers here are at least Filthy Rich, while a fairly small number are Obscenely Rich. At least that was my intent in suggesting those values. And of course this is a moving target, as market changes can significantly affect total worth if it is based on slotted IOs. But what do others think about my arbitrary dividing lines?
And more importantly, are you Filthy or Obscenely rich?
Having more money than you know what to do with, you're filthy rich.
Having more money than you "literally" know what to do with. you're obscenely rich.
In CoX?
If you've spent over one million inf to slot out a 'toon... you're filthy rich.
If you've spent over one billion inf to slot out a 'toon... you're obscenely rich. -
In! *rocks the monitor* I want IN!!! *rocks the monitor* Stupid... stupid...game! *rocks the monitor* Let me in... err... whoops *drops the monitor* ... Crap.

Quote:Currently, I have Mercs/Pain that's 42 and although I'm having fun now, it has been quite an uphill climb:I have a Ninja/Dark that just hit 32. So I got my last upgrade power hoping it would get me to enjoy it more, and I am not. I think it is the mix that has gotten to me, they melee, they range, sometimes the run around confused.
I figure I want a group that plays ranged, and I am not in love with listening to robots stop around behind me. I balance things in my play, I am not a full on Tankermind, but I am heavily reliant on Bodyguard. I am usually always the first to attack (sometimes I get it right enough against AoE mobs that I am the only AoE victim), then I do what I can and attack here or there.
So I am considering Mercs, but I need some tips on secondaries. I think Dark is awesome, it can heal and debuff. I don't like the poison animations at all. Traps has a lot of goodies, but I think I need a group heal the way I play. Trick Arrow just has no place in my heart. I have basically no experience with Pain and Therm.
So I want a group heal, and I know I need debuffing for those nasty fights. As with my Ninja/Dark I do plan to have Stamina and run Assault/Tactics. Also I love the whole soloing Elites thing, those are some good fights.
Thank you guys for any advice.
The damage is weak and to add to that, the most resisted type in the game.
The sturdiness of the pets is pretty weak as well.
The AI is a bit... well, stupid.
What the Mercs have going for them is that they're Jack-of-all-trades pets. Sure, they're not great at any one thing, but that can do almost anything. melee, ranged, buff, debuff, hold, heal... It all depends on what you want to emphasize.
Two things would make Mercs/- better IMHO: Make them a bit more sturdy, and make the damage smashing or a combination of lethal and smashing. OH... and add my one recommendation for all MMs... half the recharge on Tier One pets. A mastermind should be able to absolutely churn out basic unmodified minions.
Mercs can be fun, just make sure it's a concept you like and then prepare to be patient with it. -
Erotic Exiles is looking again, I hear. *runs like hell*

Quote:There's a new update... you must bring two Heroes Redside to move one Villain Blueside.Hey All,
So for me one of the more important things about GR is getting Vills to go blueside, as I am not a fan of redside at all.
So does anyone know the mechanic that will allow this to happen? will I have to run a mish at a certain level or something?
I heard its not for atleast 20 levels? is this true? Also, if I start on that new Pred. world (or whatever it is) can I make any type of toon there (hero or vill AT's) and go blueside at some point?
Sorry my SearchFU sucks.
Thanks!
Think of it as the Paragon City version of "busing" 8D -
Yes... you are. I've been - and seen others - booted for all sorts of ridiculous and arbitrary reasons, not in the least was power selections:
Common reasons I see/have been kicked for:
* u r tank wit no tauntz, lrn2ply
* u r 'fender wit no healz. lrn2ply
* u r 'mm wit no petz. lrn2ply
* y u pick/not pick >fill in the blank<, lrn2ply
* lol >enter power set here< sux, lrn2ply
* u not keep my tank alive, lrn2play
* u r lolstalker, thx 4 padding but we need room 4 real toonz, lrn2ply
* u r lolta 'fender, thx 4 padding but we need room 4 REAL 'fender, lrn2ply
* u r lolrper, less qq more pew-pew, lrn2ply (often this can mean you simply put something in ooc parens)
* gimme star 4 sec, now i pick good mish/farm/arc, u not like, lrn2ply
* u have my sg friend on ignore, lrn2ply
* ur toon is teh gai, lrn2ply (this is apparently the default reason used when no specific trait can be targeted) -
I'm all for global unlocks for costume pieces... you did the work. You buy a jacket, you should get to wear it over and over again.
I'm not all for global unlocked for temp powers and such... you bought the car, but occasionally you have to gas it up.

Proposal 1) How I find an arc: I try one out, I take a suggestion from someone who;s opinion I value, or I look for an Architect I've enjoyed before (For example... I've liked every arc of Fred's I've played). I could give a rats butt how many stars it got.... everyone is going to take to something differently and an arbitrary "average" isn't going to convince me to play it one way or another.
Proposal 2) See above.
Proposal 3) If the arc is good then I'm happy I played it. I might play it again if I really really liked it, or if the author changes some major component due to an update or Issue Release. The only reason to replay an MA mission over and over again is for tangible rewards... and we all know they tend to suck in AE.
Nah... ditch the rating system altogether.
Here's a better idea. Add a like button like Fred suggests, but instead of a visible rating just have a "likes" counter. Enough "likes" clicks and the author can choose to make it a "Best of" Arc. He can no longer edit it, but it no longer takes up one of his Arc slots.
That way a great arc doesn't have to get deleted to make way for another creation, and it allows for some of the better story arcs to be preserved for others to play. -
Quote:I disagree. The vet rewards are more than just how much cash you paid.... it's a "thank you" for your loyalty and involvement in the game and the community. It represents not only your monthly fee, but your activity in the game... how much you've supported CoH/CoX in the past.I have been playing with a lot of people that have been in the game less than 18 months lately and an idea came to me. I wonder if we could be given an option in the in-game store for people to buy up their veteran status. For a small fee (say 19.99) someone could increase their veteran status to the most current setting. I think that allowing everyone in the game to possess all of the veteran abilities would be a good thing at this point.
It means you're a veteran of "x" number of months. The higher that number is, the more you have experienced and you have to be proud of.
"Buying in" would be much like walking out of collage and into the big corner office in a building where everyone else who has one had to work for. It cheapens it for everyone that actually worked their way from the ground up for the same perks. The actual "veterans" of the company.
Right now those "hash marks" are nothing more than arbitrary numbers that stand in the way of some kind of minor little goodies. But be patient, put in your time and you'll earn them just like us "beta brats" did. Then, those vet badges will actually mean something to you.... and then you'll be the one making a reply to the next post like this.

So asking you about the retail sales distribution numbers of the latin dairy products at the pvp conventions for 2007 would be a bad thing?

Quote:Any CoH chat channel *is* a private fiefdom. The "public" channels are governed by the EULA and you have a *right* to say what you want as long as it obeys the EULA. Any GM has the right to silence or ban you for any infractions of the EULA. You can not say what you feel like. They are not your channels, it's NCSoft's channels. Global, Private and otherwise.Eh, I was kicked from VU2010 last night for having an opinion.
If the channel is going to be run as a private fiefdom where everyone has to toe one person's party line then it's useless.
A "Private" channel should never be confused as being more open, in fact, it's a bit more restrictive. You have less rights because not only do you have to follow the EULA because it applies to any and all corners of the CoH chat system (and yes, a GM can come into your channel and enforce it if they so wish), you also have to follow the rules of the channel as well.
Every person chatting on an "open" channel has the responsbility to act with a bit of decorum and keep it PG-13. "Private" channels are a little different, each with it's own tolerances, and what's forbidden on one might be embraced on another. While not required, if there are "rules of engagement" then they *should* be posted somewhere, even if just a mention in the channel's MOTD. Any mod on a private channels takes the responsibility to enforce not only their own channel's rules, but the EULA as well... if they do so or not is on them.
If you want absolute freedom to say what the heck you want... go start your own vent server. Then people you invite to it will have to endure your rules.
That said... Personally, I think that while not *my* kinda of humor distasteful and certainly, inappropriate.... unless someone actually says "Yo... could we not talk about that?." or "Um... that bothers me" the OP didn't really do anything wrong with the exception of linking the porn site to the comment... we have kids on this game at all times of the day and night and regardless of the "they have profanity filters" and 'the parents should be watching" mentalities... YOU have a responsibility for everything you type.
If the use of the "r" word is as the OP said, then it *seems* that it could have been a fairly "clean" use according to the EULA... if not more than a bit immature and callous. This assumes that a) no one said anything about the usage to him prior to the incident. and b) there are no rules against such usage in the channels private code of conduct.
However, linking the porn site to it destroyed any "innocence" the OP professes and resulted in an acceptable punishment. He took the time to find a porn site and coded in a way that concealed the nature of the site in text not representing it as "adult material." I'd have booted you too... not for the word itself, but linking to a porn site. I'd have also referred the incident over to a GM... again not for the word itself, but linking to a porn site.
