How long do the self recovery and regeneration effects from Drain Psyche last for?
-
I doubt they would add stone melee to Scrappers. Can you imagine having criticals using Seismic Smash! lol
-
Have the dev's mentioned anything about adding Elec armout to Scrappers?
-
Why not a new enemy group? It would make a pleasant change to have another popular event without Rikti being involved
-
The lava does definately help. Using the lava on Chimera made it 10 minutes quicker than without!
I think using lava on Tyrant had to be done. If you have seen Werner's and Nihilli's video of soloing Tyrant then I recall that they also did. DM/ is mostly NE damage with a little smashing, so his Temp Invulnerability cycle woudn't be a major problem.
I probably should attempt Infernal again. I will try and upload another video without Infernal in the lava. He's a great challenge!

Surviving the AV's isn't too tough on a scrapper, its beating their regen while doing so that is the task
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree mostly, but some AV's differ, and are extremely efficient on the offencive side while not on the defencive/resistance side. Malaise would be a good example. -
Thanks!
If you're asking for what set bonuses I have gone for then I have gone for defence more than anything. 6% of my defence comes from the two +3% def IOs.
Most of my recharge is from the purples, LoTG: global recharge IOs, and from Obliterations.
My regeneration rate is not too bad. I have a nice 60% regeneration bonus alltogether from Numinas. Talking about my regeneration rate, I think my HP is also high. My HP without the use of Dull Pan is at 1867.38. Obviously, my HP is capped with using Dull Pain.
I will probably put my build on Mids sometime soon and post it here. -
Hello! I'm just posting some videos of my Claws/Regen soloing AV's. I go by the rules of; no inspirations, no temporary powers, no veteran powers, no click accolades, and no outside buffs. However, in some of the videos blue inspirations have been used.
Enjoy! Let me know your opinions. I appreciate both good and bad.
Archon Burkholder
Total time: 9 minutes and 8 seconds
I expected him to be more efficient on the offencive side, but obviously not.
Adamastor
Total time: 4 minutes and 27 seconds
He will con as a monster in MA use, but actually has the same numbers as a AV.
Captain Mako
Total time: 6 minutes and 15 seconds
No resistances and good damage made this very enjoyable. I didn't have too many problems, but at the end I had used a blue inspiration.
Agent Crimson
Total time: 8 minutes and 26 seconds
Very good arcanatime, but he seemed to miss a lot. He also had Elude, and compared to Mako's Elude, it was more difficult to hit through, but the crash would arrive quicker.
Malaise
Total time: 4 minutes and 19 seconds
He can be tricky since some of his attacks don't go towards positional defence. Seeing as my PSI defence is low and that MoG would take no effect, it was tedious. Thankfully he would go down quick due to having -20% lethal resistance.
Arakhn
Total time: 5 minutes and 41 seconds
Nothing special.
Bobcat
Total time: 7 minutes and 41 seconds
She rarely landed Follow Up, so I had the upper hand mostly.
Marauder
Total time: 9 minutes and 22 seconds
Once Unstoppable crashed, he went down fast.
Hro'Dtohz
Total time: 5 minutes and 33 seconds
Good damage, but lacking in the other areas.
Manticore
Total time: 6 minutes and 41 seconds
Easy.
Black Scorpion
Total time: 11 minutes and 49 seconds
Part: 1
2
Very difficult. He took four attempts alltogether. I seperated the battle into two seperate videos since Xfire has a 10 minute requirement on the length of videos you can upload.
Black Swan
Total time: 5 minutes and 55 seconds
Agent Indigo
Total time: 5 minutes and 52 seconds
No SEP caused Indigo to be repeatedly KB'ed.
5th Column Requiem
Total time: 5 minutes and 56 seconds
Just the average AV using Dark Melee/Dark Blast powers.
Mother Mayhem
Total time: 6 minutes and 23 seconds
Basically the same as Malaise, but a lot more difficult and tedious.
Infernal
Total time: 7 minutes
I kept him in the lava to help with his 25% lethal resistance.
Tyrant
Total time: 8 minutes and 11 seconds
I kept him in the lava to solve his Temp Invulnerability cycle. I probably should have used red inspirations when my -res proc hit.
Council Requiem
Total time: 12 minutes
Parts: 1
2
Romulus Augustus Nictus
His defence debuffs and global recharge debuffs made this tricky in some situations, but he is easier once you adjust your tactics.
Romulus Augustus
Total time: 7 minutes and 51 seconds
He's a difficult AV; defence debuffs, extremely high damage, and slightly higher tohit than other AV's.
Chimera
Total time: 4 minutes and 23 seconds
I soloed him in a dissapointing 14 minutes and 55 seconds. So I have placed him in the lava and got him in 4 minutes and 23 seconds! It definately helped with his lethal resistance. lol.
Nemesis
Total time: 9 minutes and 8 seconds
Boring. I woudn't reccomend watching.
Two AV's at once!
Total time: 18 minutes and 16 seconds
Video time: 9 minutes and 8 seconds
I edited this so it is double speed. The two AV's are Hro'Dtohz and Nemesis.

The toon used was Jeff Vader - a Claws/Regen Scrapper on Defiant.
My global is @JeffJeffityJeff -
I reccomend you have a look at this. It's basically a bunch of quotes from dev's in response to wether they will be adding power customization. However, these are all quotes from 2007.
In my opinion: the dev's will not be adding a power customization feature. They have already stated multiple times that it would take a considerably long time and that it would take a lot of effort. Besides this, there would probably be a significant amount of bugs that would occur with certain powers.
I would probably predict that there is a 5% chance for a power customization feature to be added to CoX. It would be a cool feature to be included with CoX, but the effort to be put into it wouldn't be worth it. It would also probably slow the dev's up on releasing other new content.

It stacks up to three times, but that doesnt mean you shoudn't take Weave.
You can easily get another 5-6% defence to all defences! That's all of the damage types and all three positionals! There isnt many other powers that would serve a better purpose being /Regen.
What powers were you thinking of taking to replace it? -

A buddy of mine uggested that we limit the MA for a certain lvl? She was thinking that it would be easier if the MA was limited to lvl 50s only. She thought that it would be something more to look forward to when hitting 50, rather than the HEAT's/VEAT's. She also mentioned that she thinks this idea will make players want to actually play the game more to hit 50.
[/ QUOTE ]Sounds counterproductive to me. This would only add more incentive to not play the game to hit 50 but to be PLed, especially for new players who have no MA-able toon yet. As I understand it this is exactly what we want to prevent. It does not matter if the PL is done via MA or not, it is the influx of players who don`t know *bleep* at level 50.
[/ QUOTE ]
I totally agree with you there dude. The other day, I teamed with a lvl 50 Controller who didn't know how to SK someone. I also teamed with a lvl 49 Tanker that didn't know what a TF was. And I met these two players in an MA team. So perhaps they were related to MA farming aswell? I had a observation at their badges, and they both didn't have the first three month veteran badge. -
Hasn't the character/account ban that was enforced by Positron taken any effect? I can recall the other day that someone was complaining that they had a toon deleted for farming in MA.
I also definately agree with Damz when he mentioned that a xp cap would demise the game. A buddy of mine suggested that we limit the MA for a certain lvl? Since it would be easier if the MA was limited to lvl 50s only to stop farming. She also thought that it would be something more to look forward to when hitting 50, rather than the HEAT's/VEAT's. She also mentioned that she thinks this idea will make players want to actually play the game more to hit 50.
Although, I think her suggestion backfires. It would cause some players to want to hit 50 ASAP. So they would use the originial farming missions. Therefore, it would probably lead to a total farming ban.
However, my opinion differs from most others. There have been a variety of suggestions on how to stop MA farming, but mostly from people who dislike farming. If people pay there montly subs, then they have the right to play the game how they want. For non-farmers out there (like myself) , the farming players don't tell you how to play, so trying to create methods to stop them playing is selfish (in my opinion). Besides, most suggestions to stop MA farming would probably destroy the MA all together.
For some other opinions, I understand that some players are wanting to stop MA farming since new players might possibly find themself in a farm/PL'ing team, which would probably result in them finding it a boring experience, and being at a high lvl with no idea on what to do.
If this is the reason to why you are disliking MA farming, then maybe you could create some slightly different suggestions rahter than taking farming out of the game? My personal suggestion: Create more notifications for new players with MA and that it's alternative content for players and reccomended once you have experienced the game for a certain lvl. Maybe you could place these notifications while installing the game, when you first create your character, and perhaps when you first enter the MA building. There are a variety of ways we could introduce these notificaitions, but I think this might make a lower amount of newer players being PL'ed to 50 with no experience of the actual content.
Anyway, that's my opinion. I don't think anything else to limit farming in MA needs to be included. The farming in MA has gone down by a large amount, and I was informed that most of the MA farming missions/arcs have been removed. So, what's your opinion on my method about introducing notifications? -
[ QUOTE ]
but to me the moment you start play any toon you have farmed from the start. it don't matter what you done it farmed going from one mission to then next that also includes repeat the same mission over and over again, it is farming as you gain more Xp/Inf/Salvage/Recipes/prestige each step after a kill that in range to your toon. this is my final word on this but i do wish you the best
[/ QUOTE ]
So you're basically saying that playing anything in the game is considered farming? For example: if I log in and do a TF it's considered farming? Or even if I do a mission from any contact you will classify it as farming?
Dude, do you actually know the definition of farming? -
From the Rogue expansion, we haven't yet be informed abount any penalties for joining the other faction. I'm not confirming that there are penalties, but I predict that there is a good chance of a few.
I imagine there could possibly be a inf penalty or badge penalty. Anyway, my main point is that I think they will probably include some penaltys, and that one of them will probably be a inf penalty.
And this is if they don't merge WW and the BM. -
What about the Thermite Cannon temporary power? The one that you can acquire in the AST.
It seems to deal Plasma damage, but it deals special damage vs Hydra.

Hey Kiss
I'm going to send a petition myself, hopefully it becomes fixed. -
In addition, I have no idea why he started this thread. I don't think he has actually ever played a Kheldian.....
-
I was told that you were new to the game, sorry Tunch. lol
If you're going to ask who told me this, then it was @Oli.
-
The title states: "Night Widow optimised for tough single targets"
If this build has costed you around 2.3-2.5 billion like you say, then from this and the title, should I confirm that this is an AV soloing build?
If not, could you explain what you're referring to by "tough single targets"? :P -
This has probably came up a lot on the forums, but it's very irritating.
Everytime I switch zone, my inspiration tray will return to it's default set place. For example: I usually place my inspiration tray above my power trays, but when I zone, it will be in the middle of my power trays.
Is this bug going to be fixed? I've been dealing with it for a while now, but it's still a persistant and irritating bug. -

My favourite enemies? Why, the Circle of Thorns of course!
[/ QUOTE ]
I hate the CoT. They are extremely irritating at the low lvls. They never stopped kiling me as a newbie. I won't ever forget these dreadful memories! lol -
[ QUOTE ]
Praetorians, Arachnos and Rularuu are all very cool, I think
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with GG.
The praetorians AV's are extremely fun to battle with. Since they are evil counterparts of signature heroes, it probably makes it feel more enjoyable in a vigorous way.
Arachnos provides a wide variety of different enemies, which also include a wide variety of different powers. Although, they have recently became a lot more common and seem slightly more boring now.
The Rularuu! They are once again, a wide variety of unique enemies. They usually have monsters, which is more fun than killing Skulls and Hellions. There is a large assorted variety of Rullaru enemies; natterlings, wisps, overseers, brutes, some mysterious objects, and the AV's are also unique.
However, this is only my opinion :P -
You will probably catch me on my Scrapper or Controller from time to time.
Three years and three months (39 month) veteran
Jeff Vader - Claws/Regen Scrapper
Daisy Aflare - Fire/Rad Troller -
Hey all!
I'm very sorry about this silly thread my cousin has started. He has also made a few more silly choices on my forum account! I'm lucky that I am not banned on the forums! lol
I would delete this thread if I could, but I mainly wanted to let you know that it wasn't me who made the silly thread, and that I've changed my password.
