I edited your post to match what I've experienced. The only character to ever even get asked to join one is my Tank, and the second question they always ask (after "Are you interested") is "Are you a Stone Tank?". I say "No", they say "Nevermind."

Same goes for the villain side. My 'main' level 50 there for a long time was my Robots/FF MM, and I couldn't land on the LRTF if my life depended on it.

Of course.. this wasn't made with marketeering. I did it the hard way, I actually worked for all of this money, though of course I still sold everything I got on the market, so it's still relevant. I read those boards for a long time, when my work once blocked the main COH Forums. I agree, there are a lot of interesting characters and knowledgable players there, and it will be fun getting to know them.

I think I may change back to my 'original' CoH forum name, since I just changed to HeyTiny to have it as a Global name.

My Ice/Ice (on Virtue) doesn't have Tough or Weave, and does just fine, even on big teams. I don't feel weak at all. AE missions? Thse can get hairy - but they are not the baseline you should judge against.

Post your build, let us see what you are seeing.

I keep both, and have no problem with building Fury (unless the Masterminds are hogging the Aggro - *shakes metal fist*).

You are misleading them with this statement, you forgot to tell them the correct color is NOT the base one all start with and they have to guess what the correct color is. Imagine my surprise while playing mega-closed-beta and find that the "correct color" for dark melee was bright pink.

It's just going to have 1 Accuracy and the Call of the Sandman: Chance for self heal proc in it anyway. Saves me all the slots I'd need to use make Boxing Worthwhile.

None of the Patron powers really WOW me (I like the looks of the MU Mastery stuff though), so I don't mind losing the one power selectio, if it gets me Tough and Weave.

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but as far as I can tell it's moe personal preference. Charged Brawl has 2 kinds of damage, plus it's a fast recharging attack I can use to build Fury. Plus, it's another attack I can slip a Call of the Sandman: Chance for self heal proc in ;-)

In my build, I take Boxing or kick, and then never use them anyway. They don't even stay in the tray, normally. I certainly won't slot them. Your mileage may vary, but to me, a Primary or Secondary power is superior to a 1st tier pool power.

Higher HP gives you better regen in itself, so if forced to choose I prefer more HP's - but I tend to slot for both on my Tanks and my one Brute.

However - I think the difference is ... what you Prefer.

Don't feel you have to have some Perfect Optimal Slotting in order to succeed. Which do YOU want? Pick one, and go for it.

I tend to Frankenslot a bit, but also go for sets that give me early set bonuses I desire. 2 of this set and 2 of that set, plus 2 of that set. I get the slotting I want, plus some of the set bonuses.

Rare is my character that is 4, 5 or even 6 slotted with the same inventions set.

Random Rolls lend themselves to my Alt-itis (can't play one character long enough to build up many merits) and my general impatient nature. If I manage to get over 40 I always end up doing a random roll.

I just can't help myself. The only way I can put it off is if I'm 'close' to another roll.
