Is it 'worth it'? That's up to you, really. Id say at least use either Numina or Miracle to get the additional bonus.

I have got mids but I cant easily tell in the real world what is better for my survivability. More regen pre second or more health.
Higher HP gives you better regen in itself, so if forced to choose I prefer more HP's - but I tend to slot for both on my Tanks and my one Brute.
However - I think the difference is ... what you Prefer.
Don't feel you have to have some Perfect Optimal Slotting in order to succeed. Which do YOU want? Pick one, and go for it.

It is not too difficult to determine which is better, or at least get the actual numbers down on paper:
Health bonuses reduce the amount of time to fill your HP bar:
Time in seconds to full HP = 240 / (100 + sum of all health bonuses)
Calculate T for your current toon, then again with the +health set bonuses above. Divide your current toon's HP by each T value, and that gives you HP/sec with and without the health bonuses.
Now, calculate HP/sec using your current HP total, and the HP total with bonuses. Keep in mind that the % bonus is applied to your base, so first find the base for your AT/lvl, then apply the bonus. Calculate HP/sec with and without the +HP bonuses.
Keep in mind that the +HP bonuses will also provide a one-time HP cushion as well as the added HP/sec, which factors into your total available HPs in a given fight. This may not be a significant factor if your fights tend to last longer than a few seconds.

Miracles only go up to lvl 40.
The way I slotted my health:
Numina: +Regen/Rec
Numina: heal lvl 50
Numina: heal/end lvl 50
Miracle: +Rec
Miracle: Heal lvl 40
Regen Tissue: +Regen
You get 2.5% recovery for 2 miracles and 12%regen and 1.88%HP for 3 Numina's
Though, if you can afford it, use a Panacea: Chance for +Hit Points/Endurance instead of the 3rd Numina.

You realise the +regen of those Ios is increased by your health heal slotting right? I would throw a 6th slot in there and use a Numinas heal to up my %s for regen.
I like to slot my health to ED cap if possible when using the +regen IOs, since they also benefit.
Plus you get an extra 12% regen set bonus that way too.

Thats the best rich guy slotting I guess. I personally use all but the Pancea unique and I have a Numinas heal/end in its place for the HP bonus and capped heal % in health. I aint paying 400 mil for no pancea, and Im a one account guy so theres no easy way to farm one.
Aye - I'd like to have a Panacea Unique someday, but I'm not going to plan on having one.

My goal was to maximize the regeneration I got through Health by bringing it up to ED caps, then add in more regeneration through the uniques. I'll have to check tonight to see if I remembered accurately because if that's correct, I can probably tweak it a little more.

if i didnt have it purpled out and huge on recharge where i heal every 14 seconds at 955 hp's i would worry about regen ..but seriously i cant rememeber the last time i died..thanks to healing flames regen isnt a concern

Simple one hopefully, my shield/ss tank currently has health 5 slotted as follows
numinas heal (50)
numinas +regen/recov
heal (50)
miracle +recovery
regenerative tissue +regen
I cant work out if it will it be better for me to leave the 50 heal IO or switch to a 50 end/heal numinas to get the 1.88% health bonus ?
Same question really for in True grit (currently 3 heal IOs) swapping to 3 numinas (heal,heal/end,heal/rech) for the 12% regen and 1.88% health ?
I have some other +max health bonuses and all the accolades
