I'll leave a team with too much Knockback if I'm playing one of my Tanks. I won't make a big stink about it when I do, though. It's just a preference.

FYI - I used to be one of the "The Ebil Marketeer's are Ruining everything" people .. then after seeing the discussion on both sides, I realized that it was not the case.

I "listened" to what people were saying, and then "tested" it myself. The people that refuse to do either of those are usually also the most vocal "The Ebil Marketeer's are Ruining everything" people.

The Ebil Marketeers are just providing a Service to the Lazy 'GottaHabItNowz!' People. If you are patient, you almost always can get what you want, at a price you want, OR LESS.

Rush has always listed his audience numbers per week to skew perceptions five-fold in his favor. His largest audience was in 2003 with 20 million listeners per week (4mil/day) and the current stat is 14mil per week (2.8mil/day). Impressive numbers but nowhere near this 30mil number you've imagined into existence.

Yes, his numbers are impressive .. But overstating his rating numbers to make your point does not validate your argument - in fact, that you exaggerate them (whether intentionally or not) shows us the opposite - that you are either not paying attention to the actual 'numbers', or that you are twisting them for your purposes.

On my Inv/SS Tanker, for Invincibility I 4 slot Gaussian's (including Chance for Build Up) and 2 slot Gift of the Ancients (defense, def/end) for recovery.

This seems to be the best of both worlds to me. Before IOs I would suggest 1 endRedux, 3 defense and 2 toHit.

Aren't you really shorting your defense with that slotting? With just those 2 GotA at max level, you're only getting 37.7% defense enhancement. Granted, the Gaussians give you +1.88% HP, but you're missing out on roughly 3% defense by underslotting for it.

I'm theorycrafting here, since I don't have a high-level Invuln, but I'd go 4 GotA and 2 Gaussians. That +1.8 max endurance for the 4 GotA is usually more valuable than the +2.5% recovery you'd get from the Gaussians. But I personally would probably not focus on the +tohit, since I prefer to have my attacks a little overslotted for accuracy. YMMV.

1 Whatchamacallit: Taunt (for whatever the Set Bonus is)

I did the market transfer the other night .. just be sure you use something rare enough that it has few sellers, and bad enough to have few bidders.

I used a spare Lvl 35 Call of the Sandman: Chance for Self heal to tranfer funds from one server to another the other night. I keep it around just for transfers, since the one character that uses them is all filled up on them ;-)

All their responses can only be based on "you". What you are saying is that you think there might be people having trouble/complaints with the download process, and that the process should be changed for those people - even though there is no real evidence that they exist. The only person who we can reply to is you, not any of these Currently Fictional "Other People" .. and you don't actually HAVE any problems with the download.

Not that your proposed solution would actually fix it for them, though, even if it existed. Sorry, but "Torrenting" the updates would just be "Change for the sake of Change", it wouldn't actually be "Change for the better".

It's different for just about every situation. SOmetimes they are honestly trying to help. SOmetimes it is just a twerp getting his jollies.

I just assume they are trying to help, and encourage them to find a team or 'help' someone who wants/needs it.

I'm never mad enough at them to report them, even if they make a habit of it. It's just too minor of an annoyance to me to do it. If I see them do it to me, and then they start harassing someone else, or if they area jerk about it, I might though.

There's nothing slower than an Earth/Earth Tanker. ;-)

I had someone try and pull that on a team the other day. After someond did Group Invis and started stacking the sigle target ones on people, the Leader said "Don't invis the Tanks!". Someone else agreed with them, and then the player apologized for doing it.

I had to take a minute and try to explainit to them .. sure, it lowers us getting aggro initially .. but ONLY initially. As soon as we aggro them (which is supposed to be our Job) the stealth component in neutralized by the game, as is part of the Defense bonus. But it still gives us some Defense bonus in the fight, and it lets us determine when and where we are when we start the fight.

During the fight itself the +Stealth portions isn't even functioning.

I wonder how that slipped my mind .. must not have played Mace recently. That's it. That's what I'm sticking with.

With her playing Emp/Energy, you certainly don't want to play INV or WP, since both need clumps of bad guys around them to do be at their best. Since you already ruled out WP, you should rule out INV too.

Looks like you are going Shield. I plan to try it out soon enough myself, it's the last one left for me to try.

Axe vs Mace? The main difference is in type of mitigation. Axe is Knockdown/Knockback, Mace has Disorients.

I don't think I've ever seen a 'Soloing Guide' - mainly because it could never be specific enough to handle everyone's need.

*What challenge level for missions? Whatever you can handle. Start with the Basic, if you feel Really Awesome, bump it up 1 notch so you fight more things, or 2 notches if you want to fight things of a higher level.

*Better to just kill mobs outside? You might get more XP at a steadier pace that way, as long as you find enough things of your appropriate level. However, the downsides of that are:
- Other people interfere with you
- No mission complete bonuses
- Larger debt earned in street sweeping vs missions

*What specific other skills are a must have if any? (not talking about the basics, just skills that shine if your soloing from the power pool). Don't really get what you mean here. Do you mean 'Skills' like in learning Aggro radius/behavior, or 'Skills' as in "useful/Cool Powers to take from Power pools"?

*AE missions, they good? They can be good. Some can be harder than your basic missions, since a lot of people build for a variety of things you don't see normally. Plus, you then earn tickets for rewards, which some people hate dealing with. On average though, I hear (it 'feels') like the XP is higher there.

Soloing isn't that difficult. The main difficulty comes from within - learning what YOU specifically are capable of. That could easily vary from character type to character type, and even from Day to Day, depending on a lot of different things.

Learn what your Powers do, and use all of them. If one power seems useless/weak, find out what it is used for. Ask people here about it. There are very few Useless Powers out there. Some need to be slotted to work right, some just need you to learn how they work and what they do.

Pay Attention to your surroundings. Needs 5 second break? Run around a corner, and break Line of Sight while keeping them targetted. You will 'see' them approach, and that might give you the time you need to get organized.

Don't be afraid to RUN AWAY if you feel overwhelmed.

Ask questions. There is a 'Help' tab in game. Lots of people with nothing else to do will be happy to discuss things with you.

One final bit of advice? Don't be afraid to try something new. if you fail, and lose, at least you tried.

Another big money maker for me recently is something NO ONE is doing.

At the top of the play screen is some text labeled "Contacts"
Click this.

The contacts give you "missions". When doing these game missions, as they are called, you actually get randomly awarded these things called "salvage drops."

This salvage can, bear with me here this is complex, "Posted and sold at Whentworths and the Black Market." You can actually make really good inf doing this.

But be mindful, it's pretty lucrative. I'm expecting the devs to nerf this exploit pretty soon.
