    Heh. Good point.

What I want to say is, I hope all the people that raged about the Mutant Pack not having anthro pieces have egg on their faces now that they have an entire pack dedicated to animals.
Why would they have egg on their faces? The hue and cry over that very thing and then the follow-up post by Noble Savage arguing against an animal booster because it "probably wouldn't be popular" being vociferously disagreed with led directly to the inclusion of the wolf tail to the Mutant Pack and then the creation of this pack. Based on the timing, the very "raging" against the Mutant Pack -- and because numerous people said they bought it solely *for* the 11th-hour addition of the tail -- almost certainly points to the fact that this pack wasn't even being seriously considered at the time of the Mutant Pack's release.

I suspect this is an excellent example of the Devs listening to the playerbase and giving us what we want, not something that was planned all along and we're just now hearing about.
  3. I'll bet after seeing Superman Returns, Empire is probably reconsidering that "unlucky" tag.

Not the way Sam means. He's talking about referencing movies or TV shows as an in-joke or as shorthand for a character's interests. There are plenty of works out there which have no cultural references whatsoever because they don't take place in our culture. Lord of the Rings, for instance, or Asimov's Foundation series.

    I want nao!
There were also some cool new recipes showing up, too. I don't recall what they were offhand, but I remember thinking they looked pretty interesting.
  7. As I said in the other thread, this version might be good if handled properly. I'm not against the idea and a fresh spin could be positive for the character.

Minor spelling note: "loose" means "not tight" while "lose" means "lost."
  8. I've always thought it was odd that jumping was faster than running, but it's just one of those weird things about CoH, like a punch doing more damage than a machine gun.

Who censors things with sparkles? Twilight slashfic drawings?

Anyway, those are ricochets. Coppercat has a fully bulletproof bikini area.

This is all demorecord goodness, no pigg diving. Go learn the demo skill and you'll see how it was done.

Well, not worse than I remember. I was already in college at the time. But I can relate when I look back at Speed Racer cartoons.
  15. Oh, you know what? I'm suddenly reminded of a Clifford D. Simak novel that has a technological group, a psychic group and a biological group all competing and/or cooperating to cause or prevent a collision between two universes. It's older than I am, so probably 1950s to early 1960s.
  16. Sounds like old school X-Men to me.
  17. That's an awesome picture, and I love the character.
  18. I think McG is an excellent director. For a popcorn blockbuster, I think Charlie's Angels has excellent direction. Some scenes go on for minutes, something almost unheard of in modern big budget films. Plus, as prime mover of Chuck, Supernatural and Human Target, he's garnered plenty of goodwill in my book.

Come on, do we have to do this nonsense every year?

Titanic (1997), biggest movie of all time at the time of garnering a tie of most noms ever with 14.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2004), did nearly the same amount of business as Titanic, $1.2 billion, best picture win on top of 11 nominations.

Chicago (2003), $300 million and #10 at the 2002 box office despite being released only THREE WEEKS before the end of the year.

A Beautiful Mind (2002), $315 million, #11 at the 2001 box office, exactly the same story as Chicago.

Gladiator (2001) did half a billion at the box office, #4 in 2000.

Forrest Gump (1995) #1 with $677 million box office.

Schindler's List (1994) $321 million, #9 film in 1993, which is the year Jurassic Park, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Fugitive and Sleepless in Seattle were released. And it's not exactly a feel-good hit.

Dances With Wolves (1991) #3 at the 1990 box office, the same year Home Alone and Ghost came out.

Rain Man (1989) #1 movie in 1988 with $354 million.

Terms of Endearment (1984) #2 movie in 1983 with $250 million bucks. The number one movie that year was Return of the freakin' Jedi.

    ... and et cetera.
  20. Of course, it *is* Kirkman, so Johnny will probably be a zombie. Again.

I *really* like this idea. Excellent job, Coyote Seven.

    2) Ouroboros. They likewise have individual missions for both villain and hero alignments, but they aren't really a full-fledged group yet. Can possibly be further expanded. (and merging the hero/villain Ouroboros at the same time)
    3) Vanguard/Lady Grey. Though technically above morality as opposed to being properly grey, they do have certain qualities which makes them appropriate, especially with their diversification of tasks to encompass more than just Rikti.
    4) Wyvern would specifically be a vigilante group, for obvious reasons.
The Midnighters and Wyvern are especially good choices.

Trying to think of a group which would specifically be rogue though.
They can always go with people trying to double-cross others in their organization, which allows for singletons from nearly every enemy faction to play that role. Even a cop deep undercover who's lost his way and is trying to get back to the light. This would also be a good time to dust off one of those enemy groups named in the earliest CoH video.
