My main characters build is designed to be effective at all levels. I've exemped as low as level 1. Level 20 is a walk in the park - I get to keep Assault and Tactics.

um... DUH! It became an exploit when the devs DECIDED it was an exploit. That's how exploits get defined. The game designers get to say what is an exploit.

Full hero gives you fewer options. Rogues and Vigilantes can visit both sides and do all task/strike forces.

No need to be concerned on my behalf. I don't share your concerns and I think the degree to which you seem agitated about the matter is absolutely ridiculous.

And you know what? That doesn't make me stupid, or a sucker, or apathetic, or willing to give up my rights. The EULA is just one more bit of nonsense in the wild world of the internet. I don't feel it's anything to be concerned about. I understand that you don't agree, but I don't care about your opinion on the matter. I HAVE read the EULA and have formed my own opinion of the matter.

I don't think it suggests what the tin-foil-hat crowd THINKS it suggests. One person posted that it allows them to install spyware. I agree that it could be interpreted that way, many EULA's can. I don't think that they have any plan/thought/consideration of doing so.

Wrong. A Portal is a Portal. Where it sends you will vary, based on your alignment, but ANYONE can use the same Portal.

Yes, I do. But that doesn't mean I need to "get behind" classic paranoia and conspiracy theory. I'm really not concerned about what you, or anyone else, thinks the EULA might say NCSoft can maybe do some day in some near or distant future. If they do something I find unacceptable, I will leave. It's that simple.

There was no 'overly broad EULA' giving warning before Sony covertly installed rootkits on peoples computers. There was no 'civil rights violating EULA' before Apple phones were covertly tracking the owners movements. The existence of this EULA does not mean they will do anything shady. If/when NCSoft does something I consider inappropriate, then it's time to do something about it.

It tickles me how much BS is in this post. They could be farming badges, inf, XP or ferrets. The farming is irrelevant - it's the broadcast spamming. It makes the zone seem like a slum.

Sure you can. If you believe you really can exert that kind of control over any software after you choose to allow it to install, you're dreaming.

If the whole thing freaks you out, then go ahead and unsub. Personally, I think that would be a ridiculously paranoid response. NCSoft has never done the kind of shady stuff you seem to be worried about. Plenty of other companies have, like Apple and Google tracking your location through your phone without your consent or knowledge, Sony with their rootkit, and countless others with flat-out spyware.

They aren't allowed, but they do it anyway. They create an account, PL a character to level 10 so they can send mail, spam like mad, then delete the character.
