Or I can choose not to buy it at all. I have a boatload of points, which has little to no bearing on the fact I think they are too expensive. If they go on sale, I might buy if they are cheap enough.

Quote:This can happen on any task force. On the mission Attack the Circle within Oranbega it prompts us to exit the mission but once we do it tells us to go back in and the mission has reset. Any help?
Edit: also when I call posi he asks to speak with the team leader, which is me.
Step 1) Have the leader log out and back in. If that doesn't fix it....
Step 2) Have EVERYONE log out and back in. I've never seen that fail to fix it. -

'Bargain' is a value judgement and entirely subjective. I have "many characters on many servers" and I think it's too expensive.

Quote:Let me explain something. Every aspect of everything in existence has people who don't like it.Never mind what the paying subscribers wanted, MANY of whom voted with their feet and left the game; as long as the Devs were happy, who cares about what the sheep wanted? It was only our money.
Also, your reference to "the paying subscribers" is quite arrogant. Do not presume to speak for all the subscribers. -

No. All the server does is send a message to your computer saying, "Play this sound file." The music is generated on your system. I haven't noticed anything odd, but I'll pay particular attention now.

Okay, we missed this SF the first time through because there was emergency maintenance that Saturday. I didn't want to do it the following weeks since the next two SFs were also the Weekly Strike Targets. So, now we'll go back and get this one done.

Sounds like it was poorly phrased. Each unlock will unlock ONE slot on ONE server. You can unlock one slot each on 7 servers, or 7 slots on one server or any combination thereof.
-
On a related note, you can also purchase unlocks *PER TOON* from the Astral Merit vendor in Ouroboros. It puts the unlock email in your mailbox and you can claim it from whatever toon needs it. I had a character where I had to have an aura at level one, before CoH:Freedom launched.

Firstly, you've obviously done your research. Every place you stated how you think it works, you are correct.
Quote:Yes, yes and yes.Is there a UI that allows me to pick which toons are active?
...
I have 2 (or is it 3?) server transfers. Will I retain those after I downgrade?
...
What happens to IOs slotted in characters I keep playing? Are they grayed out and inactive until I buy the IO license?
To be clear, the IO's will not function AT ALL. You don't just lose any set bonuses or special effects, the enhancements will do nothing at all. -
Quote:Yeah, for some people this is true. Anyone who doesn't care about Incarnate stuff, for example, doesn't lose much if they drop to Premium. Let's see, you would also have to buy each Signature Story Arc individually. There are some other minor things that I don't recall offhand.I think I'm at tier 8, another tier and in another month it will really not make sense for me to pay $14.99 for what amounts to $5.00 worth of points, for me and my playstyle.
Quote:And the business sense thing doesn't fly, when Champions offers their subscribers all content for 'free'.
Quote:It's like a magazine subscription, I subscribe for the year, I get a lower price than if I buy each issue at the newstand.
Quote:The current model is counter to that, doesn't repay loyalty, which is not good business sense. -
Well, in 45 days (or less), the red star won't be the red star any more.

Perhaps. There are a number of arcs in the game that can be started at a level but the contact will not allow you to complete the arc until you are a higher level. Maria Jenkins' old Praetorian arc, for example.

It has robots and it has punching. That's always a good starting point.

I got that the other day after I had left the app sitting at the login screen for an hour. I shut it down and restarted and that fixed it.

Quote:Why do VIPs get server transfers instead of 800 more points to spend?Quote:Because giving us 800 more points per month wouldn't make any business sense?
The answer isn't a pretty one, but giving free transfers, overall, is going to take less money out of their pocket than giving 800 more points. The transfers are useful to some people, and they have a specific price when you actually buy them, so they can say, "Look how generous we are."
Sure, most people would rather have the points as it would be of more value to them. However, for simple business reasons, I would venture to say that is not an option. The equation is not Server Transfer vs 800 Points. The equation is Server Transfer vs Nothing (or something else of value to only a limited group). -
