Just upgraded to Windows 7 and I'm having mouse freeze in the game. Anyone know how to stop this? Please keep it simple, I'm less than stellar in the technology department. Please & thanks.

More details on your mouse?
Using default MS mouse drivers? Vendor's drivers?
PS2 or USB?
Applied all your Windows updates?
CoH Helper and Hijack This logs? (See the "Help me!" link in my sig.)

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I assume that what you're saying is that the mouse stops moving while you're in the game, but the game continues running, that is, you can see things moving on screen. Does the keyboard continue to work?

Assuming the answer to the above is 'yes' and it really is the mouse, if you disconnect and reconnect it from the PC, does it start working again?

If it is a PS/2 connected mouse do NOT disconnect it while the computer is running. Shut the PC down before disconnecting it.

If it's a PS/2 connected mouse, buy a new mouse.

I have a USB mouse plugged into a USB to PS/2 adapter. Why? Because I have 2 computers and a KVM switch hooked up.

I would say then it's time to buy a new KVM but those things aren't really cheap :/

Not so much they aren't cheap, more that the cheap ones are piles of crap... (Having tried that option...)

When I had a two computer setup I just used Synergy (or perhaps another such product, don't remember). Most monitors these days have two inputs so it's just keyboard / mouse sharing, and software was good enough for that.

I spoke to the Techno-Geek at my big box store. He said my mouse was woefully out-dated. So, I now have a new mouse and everything appears to be working fine. Thank you all for responding. This is the best game in the whole world for people helping people.
