Quote:You can have as many as you want but only one can be slotted at any given time. (One for each Incarnate slot, of course.)Can you only pretty much have two Incarnate powers and use one at at time?
Once of my characters has 3 of the Destiny powers. I couldn't decided which I wanted without 'test driving' each for a while. -
Quote:Really? Who?My post on the "bugs me" thread covers my objections, so I'll just say this:
I guess we know who died now
Alexis is irrelevant to the 'Who Will Die?' title. They can kill 10 other background characters if they want. One of the 'big name' heroes will die. -
Quote:Nope. Each arc is accessible only by visiting the single contact for that arc.Last question - can I pick up these missions from some nice central locale like FOrt Trident by chance?
Quote:Last comment (yeah right) - Is it me or is information on these things a little scattered and scarce?

It's just you. -
Quote:Wrong. If you had confirmed your Hero or Villain alignment in the past, it still counts. You did not have to confirm your alignment again after that patch. What the patch changed was that you could no longer earn A-Merits if you had NEVER confirmed your alignment. If you started as a Hero and never changed, you were able to get A-Merit from the Signature arcs *UNTIL* the patch. BUT, if you did confirm your alignment at some point in the past, you did not need to do it again after the patch.Actually, you have to run it again to reinforce your Hero or Villian alignment if you haven't done the Morality mission since October 19th. That's the date of the patch notes I was directed to by support when I enquired about not being able to select Hero Merit as a reward.
Quote:No, you just had to have run a morality mission EVER. Once you run a hero/villain morality mission, you have forever unlocked your ability to get alignment merits from all the SSAs (assuming you remain a hero/villain).
Running a single Morality mission is enough *ONLY* if it is the same alignment as your current alignment. So if you started as a hero and ran one Hero Morality mission, you're good to go. If you started a different alignment, you need one Morality to CHANGE to your final alignment, then ANOTHER to CONFIRM (or 're-affirm', 'reinforce', whatever) your alignment. -
As a general guide, the older ones are a mish-mash of what some artist thought might look good. The more recent additions (Admiral Sutter's ship, the helicopters flying over Atlas Park) look much more realistic and accurate.

It's mostly the resistance. Any good-sized crowd of those guys had my invuln down to -100% defense in seconds. Not that it helped them.

Quote:Right, but you get the Tokens at the rate of one per month. And I thought that you get 1 token per paid month, no matter how you get that month. Any box set purchase ought to count, at least as far as the month you get from it goes.
Quote:If you can raise $100 to spend all at once, then you might wait until the end of Dec and see if they offer the subscription deals they have for the last 2 years around Christmas. You could get an 8-month subscription (which would net 8 tokens) for around $75, IIRC. -

Quote:Day 1I think my altitus and lack of attention span are going to screw me then. It will take 2 nights to qualify. 1night to earn the bonus ones (which would give me 4?). It could take me a week to do that, if I even stick with it past 1 night. But even if I did, I could only get 1 merit a week since they share a timer.
Run 5 tips.
Day 2
Run 5 tips and Morality mission.
Run 1st arc for an Alignment Merit.
Run 2nd arc for an A-Merit.
Run 3rd arc for an A-Merit.
Run any one of the arcs AGAIN for an A-Merit.
Since you haven't run any yet, you can get FOUR A-Merits in 2 days on any character that you feel like doing this with (level 30+ for the 3rd arc). After this 4 Merit bonanza, THEN it's one per week.
Quote:Maybe I need to alter my spreadsheet to track whether a character has confirmed or not.
Quote:So, you have to run a Morality/Alignment mission just before doing SSA 3, no matter how many times you did so prior?
Quote:#1) Is there any benefit to running these if you could care less about merits (of any sort)? Good XP/Drops? New characters to see? New rooms?
Aside from the A-Merit, you can also pick Reward Merits, Incarnate Threads or Astral Merits.
New maps, like the Hollows engulfed in lava.
Quote:#2) I'm gathering you can solo or duo these now, but I'm getting mixed responses in-game as to what level you need to be to run these. Anyone?
They exemp you to 20, 30 and 40 respectively. -

Quote:"Hoorb."In the villain version at least you fight the Shining Stars, would have been a great place to add some custom dialogue
Quote:Especially since they introduced a character who had no appeared in the game prior to this, showed her for all of one mission, and then killed her pretty much as suddenly as they introduced her. I guess you can't waste a character who would have to show up in missions or hand out missions, -
Quote:hmm.... You must be one of them dev apologists, daring to try to forestall a rant by using facts.Quote:And you must be one of them doomsayers who's constantly stating how poor the game's health is without being able to prove it.
BTW, my first post was sarcasm also. -
May I suggest that, if you really are planning to spend $100, spend it all in one shot. That will get you 9600 points instead of 8000 - i.e. 8 Paragon Reward tokens, instead of 6. The tokens are based on how many points you get, rather than dollars spent, and the bonus points count toward the total.

Quote:Good guess. My main has 5x full Crushing Impact sets, a full Multi-Strike set, a full Detonation set, and Combat Readiness three-slotted with Adjusted Targeting, and I still have trouble hitting those Drones when they're bubbled. What's your secret?
My main has approximately 60% accuracy in each attack.
He has 57% global accuracy bonus from IO sets.
He has the Kismet +to hit IO.
He has Tactics.
He has Focused Accuracy.
Me miss? Oh, I don't think so.
P.S. I normally leave Focused Accuracy turned off since it's serious overkill 95% of the time. I always run Tactics, since it helps the whole team.
P.P.S. With all that stuff running, I can hit just about anything even with the vet powers. That really freaks people out. -
Quote:That prompt was apparently written by a nimrod.I get a popup box warning me that porting into the VIP lounge will reset my alignment to the baseline and was I OK with that, Yes or No.
Your alignment can only be changed by running a Morality mission. Maybe they meant that it resets your progress toward changing alignment. If so, it's still wrong. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't reset anything. -
Quote:To clarify, the timer applies across ALL the arcs. There's a timer on it. Had you done it recently before you didn't get the option?
Had you done *ANY* of the signature arcs on that character within the past week? -

Quote:Of course the Dev defense force will leap to the defense of the status quo even if the game starts to hemorage customers again.Quote:Oh you must mean Champions which was forced to go F2P just 2 years after it launched from the loss of subscribers. CoH was never hemorrhaging customers. Sure we had a slow decline over the years but nothing that put the game in any jeopardy. NCSoft is notorious for cutting it's losses on games that can't retain it's customers. Just look at what happened to Dungeon Runners, Exteel, Tabula Rossa, Auto Assault, and Lineage.

I would not expect Manticore or Sister Psyche to die since it would be too tragic.
In fact, I have come up with factors that would appear to rule out everyone except Synapse. Bye-bye, speedy. -
