Pocket D Teleporter and Rogues

I just wanted to touch base on why this is happening.

Twice now, on 2 different alts that I've taken on the Rogue path, I've tried to use my Pocket D teleporter to get quickly back to a city. I get a popup box warning me that porting into the VIP lounge will reset my alignment to the baseline and was I OK with that, Yes or No.

Are the VIP rooms labeled as strictly Hero/Villain only? If so that seems odd since using the Ouro Portal puts Rogues and Vigilantes in their respective Villain/Hero versions. Shouldn't the VIP lounge work in the same fashion? Or are they truly that exclusive?

You are misunderstanding that.

The game treats villains/rogues as villains and heroes/vigilantes as heroes. However the game treats rogues in hero zones as "almost heroes" and allows teaming with heroes/vigilantes. Likewise, the game treats vigilantes as "almost villains" while in villain zones and allows teaming with villains/rogues.

There were points in the past where if you were a rogue on a hero task force, you would be booted from the team if you went to a villain zone, or a co-op zone (RWZ, Pocket D). That is what the message means.

It is a legacy of the game making certain assumptions as far as the character alignment when it comes to missions. Going to a co-op zone will not change a rogue to a villain or a vigilante to a hero.

That prompt was apparently written by a nimrod.
Your alignment can only be changed by running a Morality mission. Maybe they meant that it resets your progress toward changing alignment. If so, it's still wrong. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't reset anything.

Perhaps I did misunderstand the intent of the warning, but as the pop up box is worded, it sounds like it's going to revert me back to Villain if I proceed. Nowhere on there does it state that proceeding will kick me from a co-op group. I wasn't teamed up at all either time, so that never even occurred to me at any point.

@Ironblade - Thank ya. I figured as much, but I hesitated to click that yes button just in case.

Someone needs to take a look at the wording of that warning for the future, heh.

Bugs Bunny calling Elmer Fudd a "Nimrod" was used in sarcasm because Nimrod was a mighty hunter while Fudd was not. It doesn't actually mean "stupid person".

You really necro'ed a month-old thread to post that?

Besides, according to dictionary.com, for example, "nimrod" has meant "stupid person" in slang for more than twenty years. Since this isn't academia, slang is perfectly valid here.
