Load them onto a 'mule' character and use a free transfer (if you have any).

Exactly. "APPEARS" But I can tell you it's NOT that simple.
I had a character that I made about 2 months ago affected by it. But another character, made at almost exactly the same time, was NOT affected.

Unless I'm mistaken, all items that are limited time offers display a counter right there in the item listing. I can't say for sure if Titan Weapons did (since I didn't care) but all the timed items up there now certainly do. They either indicate a date or have an actual countdown timer.

    Oh, we get those occasionally.
You can probably find one if you search for the phrase "fell into a box of crayons".

Do your own research. Yeah, the self-rez breaks targeting. And this does not create the slightest hindrance to the farming.

Sorry. Maybe my experience with those gracious folks has been bad. A run of bad apples, as it were.
I think most of the 'real' PvP'ers left.
Back in the day.... before PvP got messed up, I spent a huge amount of time in RV for badges. This was when RV was the only place to find Contaminated (not to mention the turrets, heavies, signature AV's, etc).

Back then, I simply did not run into any trash-talkers. And I think I know why. I would often run into 'real' PvP'ers, who would wipe the floor with me, and were always polite and respectful. If I asked how they did something, they would explain.

I also ran into plenty of so-called PvP'ers who flat-out SUCKED. They couldn't Assassin Strike their own grandmother. I would beat these clowns like rented mules. They didn't know how to fight. They were bullies and gankers. THESE are the people who trash-talk, but only when they win. Which isn't that often, because they're incompetent.

So, when you get a lot of trash-talk and harassment, you're not dealing with an actual, skilled PvP'er. You're dealing with a clown.

    Avatar Assassin

Close. You don't need to defeat the Seedling. You just need to defeat the Avatar WHILE the Seedling is spawned.

    Quote:
When does the seedling spawn? I see the text come across my screen, but I'm typically more engaged in making sure my confuse protection is good and then defeating the avatar.
Well, then you need to be more engaged in the onscreen alert. It tells you when the Seedling spawns. I *THINK* the Seedling remains spawned for 20 seconds.

The two new iTrials aren't bad. Probably the most time-coming badge will be for getting all 16 of Malaise's nightmares. You only get 3 per run, occurring randomly, and you need all 16 out of 16 for the badge.

I think some other games have pick-up trucks.

Whoa, who what now? I need to check this when I get home. The last time they put them on sale (well before Freedom launch), I bought 10. In hindsight, I wished I had bought more.

If you didn't get a 'free' extra token on your first purchase, contact Support. Even a mere $5 purchase will get you the free token. I know because I got it. I also got the free token on a $100 point purchase. (I have 2 accounts.)

The servers don't go down when they change the WST. It just changes at the right time. I don't recall the exact time but, since I work normal hours, I know it's updated before I get home. I think it's somewhere in the 6-9 AM EST range.

Since the issue is linked to the Winter Event, and we haven't gotten a fix yet, I'm guessing we won't see a fix at all. At this point, we're bearing down on Christmas and the devs will be leaving town.
  16. Yes, this will be Christmas Eve. That's why we're doing the Sutter TF and not Citadel. Citadel is required for the TF Commmander accolade and people might be unhappy if they miss it. Sutter, on the other hand..... well, I was going to say it's less popular than Citadel, but maybe not. Citadel is long, tedious and boring. But it's still needed for an accolade. Anyway.....

Saturday, December 24 at 1PM Eastern

The Sky Is Falling (AKA Admiral Sutter TF)
    Level 20+ (exemps to 40)
Requires 4 or more to start.
    Contact is in Independence Port.

    1. Ironblade - Capt Tom Tachyon (time/rad defender)
    2. Errant - maybe Scotty D. (blaster)
    3. Elllls - Ellscry (brute)
    4. my awesome display name - my wife's character (PB) (Those names are way too long!)
    5. Asgardian Blade - Saroyan (WS)
    6. Saint Jon - Lightning Lizzie (elec/kin troller)
    7.

You don't have to 'skeev' anything for it. I have the 3% resistance unique on one of my tanks. I bought it in Wentworths for 2 billion inf, using inf NOT gained from AFK PvP farming.

This change, by itself, will have little or no impact. Even if the farming was somehow made LESS convenient than actual PvP, plenty of people hate PvP. As long as the farming is in any manner possible, it will be happening.

    Quote:
While the attractiveness of PvP to PvE players is a whole other issue, I think that if they implemented a method to track real kills vs. farming kills perhaps using MARTy, they should implement a method of earning PvP merits similar to Empyrean merits.
Not gonna work. At least, not in practice. Look at the system for rewarding 'participation' in the iTrials. If you're leading (i.e. typing a lot, instead of shooting), you're getting 10 threads. If you're a mastermind, you have a good chance of getting hosed with the 10 threads. If they implement a system like you describe, we can be sure it will occasionally screw over real PvP'ers and make PvP even LESS popular.

If you want something to be ENCOURAGED - charge less.

If you want someting to be RARE - charge more.
Say what? If you want something to be rare, charge more. Okay. As you point out, the PvP IO's cost a lot more. So this should encourage people to PvP, rather than trying to buy them, right? Which negates your crack about 'marketing 101'.

Still, as I said above, if farming is easier (or even possible), it's going to happen.

I guess I got my thousands of reward merits and hundreds of alignment merits by AFK farming... somehow. Still, it's nice feeling you can blame other people when things don't go your way, isn't it?

Figure again. The AV's in the new trials are level 56. When the enemy is much higher level than you, Gauntlet and Taunt duration fall off dramatically.

Unfortunately, MoLambda is flat-out stupid in implementation. Most of the Master badges can be obtained simply by the team/league EXCELLING in their performance. Others can be obtained by choosing to make things slightly more difficult. The badges for Lambda require you to run the trial in a manner completely the opposite of a 'normal' run.... three times.

Nope. High level enemies gives more XP, influence and prestige per kill. But, if it's taking you longer to kill them, you might actually be progressing more slowly. Drops (inspirations, salvage, recipes, merits, etc) are not affected.

Short answer: That's plenty. You can drop a third off that and not suffer.

Longer answer: Unless this is your most-played toon, and you have a pathological hatred of missing, that's plenty. Most of my characters will have 40-50% acc in the attack and 30-40% global accuracy. Some will have Tactics, in which case I don't get so much global - maybe 20-25%.

On the other hand, my main character has:
    50-60% in each attack
    57% global accuracy
    Kismet +6% to hit
    Tactics
    Focused Accuracy

I don't use the FA unless I'm facing Paragon Protectors, Rikti Drones that have been bubbled by a Guardian, or in a PvP zone.
