Okay, from Dr Q to Dr Kahn. Since we're in this general level range, we might as well do the Weekly Strike Target for the extra bonuses. So, we'll do Kahn this week, Statesman next week, then back to the Shards.
Saturday, February 25 at 1PM Eastern
Return of the Reichsman (AKA Dr. Kahn Task Force)
Level 45+
Requires 4 to start.
Contact is in Founders Falls.
1. Ironblade - Capt Tom Tachyon (time/rad defender)
2. AngelicaVenger - Shadow-Ripper (brute, I think)
3. Asgardian Blade - Asgardian Blade (scrapper)
4. Saint Jon - Heated Exchange (blaster)
5. GATE-keeper - Olivia Neutron-Bomb (blaster)
6.
7.
8.
Elllls maybe -
Quote:Well, the asylum let them out to play and we ran Dr. Q.Alright, you asked for it. Much to my surprise, people actually want to run the 'task force from from hell' as part of our regular routine. Be warned - I would expect this task force to take over 4 hours.
Didn't take 4 hours, though. Not quite. I think it was 3:50. -

Quote:Actually, boosting recharge DOES factor in. To continue my example above, if the proc is set to trigger 5x per minute and the power has a 12 second BASE recharge, it will fire every time. If you get that recharge down to 6 seconds, it will STILL fire every time. And this is apparently WAI. Synapse explained it in detail. So am I reading this right?
That the succinct explanation is that the chance is:
power_base_recharge/(60/times_per_min)
And that actual rate of use or enhanced/buffed recharge doesn't factor into it?
If that's the case then all I can say is "Niiiiiiiiiiice!".
I don't know of a list anywhere, but each power on the enhancement screen will list the types of sets it will accept when you mouse over it. -
I don't recall, but do those arcs award badges? There are a number of multi-mission arcs that do not give flashback badges because they are 'badge missions' (even if they are more than one mission long).
-
hmm... Did you try repairing the CoH client?
-
Quote:Correct. Synapse explained it. Basically, if the proc is set to trigger 5 times per minute (for example), if you put it in a power with a base recharge of 12 seconds or longer, it will fire every single time guaranteed. That actually wasn't what I was questioning, it was the fact that the tanker proc ALWAYS fired, regardless of how many targets I hit, up to the max stack of three.
I hope it is WAI, but I have a feeling it may be broken ala the recharge proc from back in the day. -

Actually, the in-game references to Atlas are about a HERO named Atlas, who took that name due to his great size and strength. He was active during WW2 and was a mortal.

Quote:Hate you.I bought the 24 pack of Super Packs...
I got all the costume pieces by the 16th pack.
4 Catalysts (3 of the Catalysts were in the first 6 packs).
A total of 9 ATOs (most of them dropped after I got the majority of the costume pieces)
950 reward merits.
And on my 21st pack I got the Black Wolf pet.
I'm still missing one costume part (and, as expected, no wolf).
To be fair, though, I got 18 ATOs in 24 packs.
Don't hate you QUITE yet. I've only done 24 packs. After my next 24, the situation may change. -
-
Quote:No.If I'm reading it correctly it's passive so you don't actually need to hit anything for it to trigger.
From another thread:
Quote:Um. I read the "About 4 times a minute" description, and concluded that it was telling me that the thing would proc about every fifteen seconds, regardless of the power or how often I used it. So my plan was to slot these into long-duration powers that I *don't* like to use, and figured it would proc on it's own.Quote:I can understand how you could come to that conclusion from the wording, but ultimately that's not how these work. They're still enhancements just like any other proc IOs in a click power - its just that their chance of activation is variable based on the stats of the power.
I think that's WAI. They seem to effectively have a 'recharge' duration (although it's variable) so they can't ever fire more than once on a single attack activation. -
Right. It works as DESIGNED (i.e. it's not malfunctioning). It's just not working the way the devs had intended. That tends to happen when you get other human beings involved. 'Best laid plans' and all that.

Quote:Be warned this is considered one of the more tedious task forces. It has 3 consecutive defeat all missions on the same map.You can also run the Citadel task force (located in Talos).
The enemies are Council and you would also fight Council in the Moonfire task force (level 23+) and the Ernesto Hess task force (level 25+). Both of these task forces are much shorter and, in my opinion, much better overall. In order to run the Hess task force, the team leader must have received Hess as a contact by completing the arc from Lars Hansen. This contact is in Striga Isle, and you can do just Lars' arc by using Ouroboros. -
Yeah, one of the rednames confirmed they are currently dropping in iTrials. As of Issue 22, they will drop under additional conditions, but I've seen two conflicting descriptions (neither from a redname).
-
Well, I'm in the U.S. and I check my spam folder before deleting. I simply don't receive them.

yeah....... two pending friend requests from extremely muscular guys posing in front of mirrors.
hmm... I don't have Maverick and my account is ancient. I do have TonyV, though. -
Quote:Maybe.Do you have daily or weekly things you do in CoX like tips or WWD?
I play villains on Tuesday nights with a VG I'm in. (Pretty much the only time I play villains.)
I run a TF or trial every Friday night for my SG. We systematically go through all of them, then start over.
I run a TF or trial every Saturday afternoon, organized on the forums. Same as previous item.
When I have some in-game time to kill, I run an SSA for the A-Merit. I use a spreadsheet to track the timer for each character.
Oh, and I check in at the consignment house with my marketeering guy once per day. -

Quote:Yeah..... I am reminded of a joke my brother (a physicist) told me.The wait time is 100% accurate. When the majority of people are pre-forming groups before entering the queue, their non-existent wait times will highly skew the average.
A physicist goes up on a hot air balloon one day. He goes a bit too high, above the clouds, and loses his bearings. He drops back down to try to figure out where he is and sees a man fishing in a stream below. He shouts down to the man: "Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"
The man looks up, "You're in a balloon."
"You must be a mathematician."
"Why, yes, I am. How did you know?"
"Because your answer is absolutely correct and completely useless." -
The cars scale to the drivers?
Things actually do scale oddly. War Witch posted once that she discovered some of this by accident. She was editing a street vendor and made them shorter and their little pushcart scaled and looked like a toy. Actually, I think she said it was a hot dog stand and it looked like it must be selling cocktail franks. -
We need WAY more info than that. Look at this thread for details.

Doesn't matter. I was concerned it might have something that's being accessed while you play, like the game itself. If it's just a recovery partition, don't worry about it.
