Actually, I think the biggest problem with the installer is the installer itself.
It's not a fun piece of software.

To be fair, your post was a rant. It didn't really warrant a well-thought response.

Well, it's like this: most of the calls for farming are done in broadcast, while a lot (maybe even most) of the calls for task forces and such are done on global channels.

Every server is going to have one or more channels that focus on task forces, one or more for badge hunting, etc. Check in your server section to see what channels are available on your server for the things that interest you.

Aside from taking every AT to 50, I also want to take every tank armor set to 50.
My SR tank is 40 and that's the only set left. It's time for the devs to give us a new tank armor set.

Anyway, what kind of tank to play? Basically, any armor set is good enough to keep you alive without even trying (until you get to high-end content). If you've had trouble sticking with a tank before, you definitely want a combo that gives you at least one 'giggle power' - something that's really entertaining. To me, that's any power that sends a whole crowd of enemies flipping into the air - Foot Stomp, Shield Charge, Lightning Rod, Tremor, Spinning Strike, Burst, Dragons Tail, etc are lots of fun. It never gets old.

Some combinations are better for survival than 'excitement'. My WP/ice and invul/energy are really tough, but less entertaining than my shield/axe or electric/electric. My stone/stone is lots of fun - 95% of the time he simply doesn't need Granite but is heavily slotted for recharge and run speed so he can just clean house until he needs Granite up.

Do you like or dislike 'busy' sets? I can play my WP/ice in slow motion. My dark/dark needs me to be clicking a lot. I need the two self-heals to stay alive; I need to watch my END and use Dark Consumption, etc.

You're wearing blinders. Flipping drives low prices up just as much as it drives high prices DOWN. Flipping narrows the trading range for an item. But you can't admit that, can you? It has to be all negative effects to fit your assumptions.

Oh? Where's your evidence now? You make a sweeping generalization that is quite stupid. There is a very good reason not to practice "slash and burn methods" in the market. If I mess up pricing on the item I'm flipping, I have to find something else. Minimizing my impact on the market means less work. And that's my goal - to minimize my time spent marketeering.

So, there *IS* a good reason to do it that way, despite your all-knowing, blanket statements.

Implies that it's amazingly simple with a Tank. It's amazing simple without a Tank.
Yep, because no one but tanks can get a power like Taunt.
    Oh, wait......
  8. Is it possible you're looking on the wrong server, or accidentally created a 2nd account? It's almost unheard-of for a character to simply disappear. For it to happen to TWO characters boggles the mind.

Oh, hysterical. And you're so diligent about examples and support.

Well I manipulate things on a daily/continuous but not whatever basis. I am also pretty constant you don't make a trillion+ inf without keeping your nose to the grindstone. So there is at least one example to contradict you.
    Really? Really??
You 'manipulate' the market on a daily basis, or do you just 'make money off it'? Are we going to need to define 'manipulate'? I make tons of inf flipping. That's not manipulating the market. It's AFFECTING the market, but EVERYONE who uses it affects it.

On the bright side, after they release a stink-bomb version, the next version is usually pretty good. I can hold out until Windows 9. I skipped over Vista completely.

Are you saying that the "casual player" who is going to buy the IOs they need for their build is going to be able to have the information they need to make both an informed and rational tradeoff about what they should pay for an IO and how much savings they can expect if they are willing to wait ?

Even in things that have ample supply you can easily see examples of people eliminating supply to maintain profitable lines of business. No I wont provide examples because I usually wind up in those businesses myself.
How many times does it need to be clarified?
He was saying that market manipulation is not universal/widespread/continuous/whatever words you want to use.

No one is denying that it happens. But to think that it's a constant effect and having an adverse impact on all the 'casual players' on a daily/continuous/whatever basis is just delusional.

Or the odds of getting two purples (different ones) on two consecutive kills.
I've had both of those happen.

Well, one difference right off is the quality of the netgraph between the two screenshots. The first one doesn't look TOO bad, but the second one is just horrible with those solid red patches. This suggests that your connection was way worse at the time of the second screenshot.

    Edit:
Apparently, there was a patch worthy of patch notes, but they forgot to post the notes.
They were posted. It seems they only showed up in the Patch Notes section on the main site, and not in the Announcements section in the forums.

On a side note, the taskbar in both images show the NC Launcher being active. You really should close that. It consumes a terrible amount of resources and certainly isn't going to be helping the situation.

No testing is needed. I just told you how it works. This is based on actual, eyewitness experience. This was discovered shortly after the power came into existence and is widely known.

And, yes, sadly, it ruins attempts at humor. My personal favorite is when I defeat an enemy by hitting them with a coffin. Sadly, a teammate might see them being hit with a roll of pink insulation - not sure how much that would hurt.....

Nonsense statement. Just because Target and your local grocer don't do this doesn't mean that 'real' stores never do it. (Hint: they do.)
