Indeed. That sounded familiar, so I checked on ParagonWiki. I found a place where it disagreed, then one where it agreed, then another where it disagreed. So I logged in a toon that just created an SG yesterday and got the Kings Row beacon. It only required the exploration badges from before Issue 17.

As noted in another thread, MsCats expects to be gone for approximately five weeks. I ran the Positron TF a couple weeks ago so I say let's just continue from there. When MsCats gets back, she can come up with something more original.

Okay, the Synapse task force has a minimum level of 15, and requires 4 heroes to start it. The contact is in Skyway City.
1. Ironblade - 5p4rk (level 20 elec/elec tank)
2. Simian Stalker - Rude Dog (lvl 50 MA/SR scrapper)
3. Omorose - Omorose (dark/dark defender)
4. GreenIronBat - Ramdaros (BS/regen scrapper)
5. AngelicaVenger - Taxibot Glowstick (rad/rad defender)
6. Gillian Boardman - a bunny
7. Flux Overlord - claws/something
8. Claude Eviserator - claws/somesuch
Who's in? -
Patience, grasshopper.
I guess I need to make a new thread. -
It was never true. All exploration badges in a zone are required for the beacon. When a badge is added, everyone trying to get the beacon AFTER that time needs to get every badge. Anyone who acquired the beacon previously does not have it retroactively removed.

Yeah, we know. This is the third thread that I've seen where you complained about it.

He'll be fine. The issue is not what the capability of the software is, but how it is used. It's like people who use sophisticated gaming keyboards. The hardware itself is not the concern. The concern is if they use it to automate sequences of commands. That would automating game play and that is prohibited.

I agree completely. My first character was broadsword/regeneration (big-time D&D player). I had time to give my first character some thought as the game download was taking about 4 hours. I downloaded the manual and found some online guides and decided I wanted a combination of powers that would let me do decent damage and, most importantly, keep me alive while I learned the game.

Quote:um... we know that. We weren't suggesting that NCSoft invent new technology.Other than branding and the sound, you've described a wireless key finder. The technology exists.

Let's try not to confuse the people with questions. What you actually meant was ENDMOD (Endurance Modification), not EndRed (Endurance Reduction).

Quote:Okay, you don't understand it. The problem is that a computer has no 'built in' method to generate numbers that are actually random. Unless perhaps you have a quantum computer. So your 'random numbers' are, in fact, guaranteed to be NON-random. The goal is to make them 'random enough' that there won't be a perceivable pattern.Maybe I don't understand "seeded", but that sounds to me like deliberately making it non-random (making it trend to one thing or another).
One solution is 'seeding' a 'random number generator' with some starting value that is unlikely to be repeated the next time. One popular seed method in the past has been the number of seconds elapsed since midnight. -
It's actually a legal distinction in many areas. Expressways and parkways are distinct categories of highway. Commercial vehicles are not permitted on parkways.

Quote:Really? When I write something for public perusal, I don't think it's safe to assume anything. I *HOPE* that people will read exactly what I wrote and process the exact meaning of the words, without adding in any bias, slant or assumptions of their own.You know, the whole, "Nazis would exist without Hitler" thing shows how right I a about the difference between knowledge and understanding, because when I said "Without hitler there would be no Nazis" it would be assumed that you all would understand what I meant is not the exact words that I said.
If they need to guess or assume in order to understand it, then I have failed to communicate effectively. -

No, no - you're a h34lz0r!

Yes, as you yourself mention, that's exactly the point. Random number generators generally are not truly random. True randomness is very hard to achieve.

Quote:They might as well.Just give the option to change names to the 'Super leader' rank (or whatever it's called) that they implemented a while back.
1) The superleader has ultimate control - both in fact and per official policy.
2) Even if there was a vote involved, the superleader could just canvass the members in advance and kick anyone who wasn't in favor. -
Quote:Get over yourself. Are you also going to claim that everyone who is wealthy got their money by being a thief? To claim that everyone with a high rep got it by farming it is patently absurd.Sorry but I now think Rep is a waste of time, only reason some people got high Rep is they Cheated. All those Green or red Dots next to you guys Avatar out there is Meaningless, You didn't work hard for that and in future if you ever think the easy Path lead you to great rewards, you just going have a poor life.

Quote:You keep harping on this. I'm sorry, but it's BS. It's a work of fiction and nothing says it has to follow your rules or your concept of how it 'should' be.In other words the difference in Axis America is what Cole does after becoming an incarnate and not before.
As already said, the author doesn't have to follow your 'rules'. Unless you're going to claim knowledge of multiple dimensions to back up your statements, it's just BS that you're making up. You don't get to say, "Alternate dimensions work like this." Well, you can say it, but then we can laugh.Quote:As already said, it is near impossible to have anything near what the world is like if it doesn't follow the same path up until a divergence point. -
Quote:Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I get an hour for lunch. Since I bring my lunch with me, I do whatever I damn well please on my computer during my lunch hour. (Within reason. Obviously I don't do anything illegal or inappropriate.)Yes, I will post smarter. Hey hows that job of yours gonna like the fact that instead of working your posting about something that doesnt concern them?
Oh, and contrary to the popular saying, we see that there actually ARE stupid questions.

I love that line!
