Quote:Yes, and I'll tell you why. You get healing credit when 2 conditions are met:Also, in response to where the healing comes from, I know for a fact that self-healing mastermind pets accumulate healing towards this badge (well, they did when I was playing that Necromancy/FF that got healing badges).
1) The critter doing the healing 'counts' as 'you'. So you count as you and your pets also count as you (for example, you get kill credit and rewards when they defeat an enemy).
2) The critter who is being healed has to count as 'not you'. For this purpose, pets count as 'not you'. So a healing pet healing ITSELF will count. A healing pet healing another pet will count. A healing pet healing YOU will NOT count.
P.S. Referencing another post, and based on the above, healing yourself does NOT count. If it did, my /regen scrapper would have gotten Empath a lot easier. -
Quote:Sounds good to me. I have that brand of RAM (but 2x4GB), exact same mobo and exact same CPU. Very happy with it all.
- Memory: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ
- Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D-E LX LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
- CPU: Intel Core i7-870 Lynnfield 2.93GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor BX80605I7870
I didn't know it would boost the clock speed with all 4 cores active (until I started using it). Running at 3.21GHz as I type this, with all 4 cores at 100% utilization. -

And even if this has always been there, READ THE ISSUES IT WAS HAVING. Gee, cop a little more attitude?Quote:Ok yeah we get it, guys... The flyer has been there. Read the previous 6 posts above you, almost everyone has been saying that.
Bugs happen. All kinds of critters can get wonky. I have screenshots of two Rikti Dropships in Talos. One has its nose rammed up the other ships tailpipe and both were caught in a circular flight pattern over the magic shop.Quote:Then explain to me why it was flying like, as someone said, like a monkey was driving it! -
Sounds like the motherboard to me also, particularly with the other symptoms that preceeded the current problem.
I had a similar problem (but without the other issues leading up to it) and checked everything I could easily check (PSU, RAM, etc) and concluded it was the motherboard. So, I replaced it and found the problem was NOT the motherboard. The point of this story is: when I was shopping for a new motherboard, I made sure to get one with good onboard diagnostics. After I installed the new mobo, it was able to tell me that the problem was the CPU. I had apparently burnt it out. I guess running at 100% load 24/7 for 3 years with the stock cooler can do that.
Anyway, every system I've built since then, I pay attention to the diagnostic capabilities of the motherboard. I've never needed them, but I'm sure I will some day.
(I also install better heatsinks on the CPU. My current system has a Zalman HSF thats about 6" tall and weighs over 1-1/2 lbs.) -
Now that says 'nerd' - getting married in the library. About the only way it could be nerdier would be to get married in Radio Shack.

Actually, it sounds like your stuff is in control. If you feel it necessary to hoard stuff, and it's affecting your gaming, that doesn't sound fun.

So, you want the case to look the way you WANT it to look. Seems reasonable to me. I bought an Antec 900 case. I think it looks great. But it's in my bedroom and those 9 LED's on the fans are a bit much. So I cut the wires to 7 out of 9. It's my case so I'll do whatever I feel like with it.

Quote:It's all about tactics. If you're on a weak toon the first time you run this, you'll probably die. After that, you know what to expect. Is there any AT that solo can withstand 10 sappers along with 10 turrets (that are extremely difficult to defeat) and 10 engineers all at one go?
And, to answer your specific question, I find it easiest on an AT with holds. It was a snap on a dominator. I imagine a controller would be similar. Most tanks can handle it. An electric tank can laugh at them and go AFK. The sappers will hardly move your END bar at all. -
I'm in. I'll probably take 5p4rk (tank) vigilante and bring him.

Not even close. Farming is farming, regardless of how many are on the team. You're confusing the concepts because most farmers have the goal of maximizing return and being solo brings in the most rewards. However, the OP specifically described an SG based on group farming as a social activity. It's still farming. It's just not the same way most people farm since income is not the primary goal.

Quote:Are you familiar with the stock market terms 'support' and 'resistance'?Just how does buying low and selling high drive prices down? Not sure my math works the same as yours!
When prices drop, people start to perceive the item (or stock) as a bargain and start buying it. This creates 'support'. It creates a bottom limit for the price movement and drives the price up from there.
Resistance is the opposite. When the price goes up, people start to perceive it as overpriced and time to sell. This creates an upper limit for the price and drives the price down.
Therefore, 'flipping' (whether it's in this game or on the stock market) tends to NARROW the range in which a price fluctuates. -
Quote:You could do it on later versions, too, if you installed.... um... I think it was called DosKey.One of the old versions of DOS was able to do that, so many of us who instinctively tried it tried it as a habit from that, I would wager.
The Windows command line does it too. -
Loads of fun. I was driving home and hoping I got home before any significant rain started. Five minutes after I got inside, the weather went berserk. They say the rain was coming down at a rate of 5 inches per hour - luckily it only lasted 25 minutes.
-
Quote:What? Something like "The move to remove the Warburg missiles from the CoP sucks like a tornado"?Can the AVs get their regen rates cut in half to compensate for this? I'd like to say more, but I think I'd be banned from posting for a while if I said what I wanted to about this.
Seriously.
Hey, the trial doesn't have an amazing reward.
The critters give NO rewards at all.
The really hard part of the trial is herding 24 cats.
Gee, let's arbitrarily ban the missiles from one not-really-significant piece of content.
This sounds remarkably like Jack's 'vision' and "You'll play my game the way I want you to" attitude. -
Quote:The someone was peterpeter and he enlisted a number of people from TheMarket global channel (myself included). I do not believe the original post is still around, but someone asked about this in July and peterpeter posted a summary of our conclusions in this thread.A couple of years ago someone did some testing to determine the order in which identical bids were filled.

Allow me to point out that, in real life, people will hire other people to STAND ON LINE for them. Whether someone CAN do something for themselves is not the issue. It's whether they WANT to.

Quote:Through the support section on the main web site. You can look up all open support tickets for your account. Logging in to the game does not allow you to access existing tickets; you can only generate new ones.and to the minion who did finally get back to me the last time there was a login server issue, how am I supposed to file a petition with in game support about a login server issue.
Problem is that I can't log in...if I can't log in, how in the seven hells can I contact in-game support? -
-
Precisely. The system does NOT fill identical value bids in the order received. This is working as intended. I'm not saying whether it's a 'good' or 'bad' idea, just that it was designed this way on purpose.

It sounds like taking advantage of the clueless.
This makes kittens cry.

My favorite random bugs are when every teammate shows up with the white dot on their arrow, so I can't tell which one is me, and when every enemy on the entire map shows up. It looks like a convention of red ants.
There is also a feature they seem to have left out.
When you have multiple glowies to click, the last one usually shows up.
When you have to defeat all, the last few enemies usually show up.
When you have multiple rescues, you're left high and dry. Rescue 24 stage magicians? Guess what, pal, you're going to have to find every single one the hard way. -
Can you be more specific? Do you get past the updater? (That's the one with the license agreement and the 'Accept' button.) Do you get the blue horizontal stripe that says "LOADING"? Do you get game splash screen after that?
This is important because the updater and the game are two separate programs. The updater launches the game (after checking for updates).
