    I believe that is correct.
However, aren't the markets merged across all servers/alignments including Praetoria and the EU? If so, you can use the market to transfer inf like we used to do in the 'old days' to move it between servers.

Are you seriously suggesting that they changed the drop rate FOR ONLY SOME PEOPLE? Because, as I and a few others have noted, our drops have been fine.

    Sweet.

BTW, I did your AE arc and kicked your butt.

That's one of my favorite channels.
  5. Ironblade

    global channels?

    I'm on:
    Inf Badge Seeker
    AE Anonymous
    Infinity Hamidon

I like these three channels a lot. FYI, most global channels are set to automatically silence new members (due to RMT spammers).

Inf Badge Seeker is big for task forces.

AE Anonymous is for any teaming not involving AE.

I'm an operator on Infinity Hamidon so I can unsilence you if you join that one. It's not just about Hamidon. It *IS* a big channel for Hamidon and Mothership raids, but it's for general teaming and TF's the other 165+ hours of the week.

The word you want is hoard.
  7. I bought the Wedding pack for both accounts. I didn't think it was worth $10 but at half off, it's definitely worth it.

I already have every other booster except the Party pack. I might buy that one if it dropped to $2-3.
  8. Actually, there are several terms for that situation.
However, we're not permitted to use them on these boards.

The orange drop rate seems to have been reduced to near zero.
Actually, you have not "noticed" something. What you have is an "impression" based on the drops YOU have received. My drop rate has been just fine.

Short version: Random number generator is random.

    I wish.

The store has a VARIABLE limit with no apparent pattern. A few weeks ago, I bought the Origins pack for one account and it would not allow me to buy it for my 2nd account until the following day. I have been able to get around this in the past by using a different credit card.

Just a few minutes ago, I bought the Wedding pack for both accounts, using the same credit card. Two purchases, minutes apart, on the same card - no problem.

Either it's a security "feature" or the store is just wonky and always has been. Another possibility is that they relaxed the security restrictions for today's sale.
  13. 1) Do I need to actually put in the DVD and install the program?
    Nope.

(I already have CoH/CoV on my PC and am actively playing it.) Or do I just need to upgrade my account with the serial code?
    Yeppers.

    2) I plan on upgrading to the Holiday Bonus 14-month plan. I don't think that the free month included with the GRCC interferes any with the bonus, but to be on the safe side, should I install (or punch in the code for) GRCC before or after I put myself on the 14-month plan?
It shouldn't make any difference. I've added EVERY expansion that came with a free month and I bought the holiday plan on both of my accounts last year. No conflicts yet.

  15. Well, we did the Kahn TF and a few people wanted to do a Master run, so we did. And we succeeded. Woo hoo!

    Now What?

One basic question: Why? Do you actually NEED more inf?

Only you can say if you do or don't, but I often see people operating under the assumption that they need to amass as much inf as possible. I IO my toons around level 35 (i.e. can't use purples) and have no inclination to do it again at 50 to include purples. Therefore, I don't need megabucks.

I do, however, play the market. I do so because I think it's fun.

BTW, you can earn pretty massive amounts of inf by "just playing the game". Back when you needed to earn 2 billion inf for the final badge, I was at 1.4 billion when they lowered the requirement. That counts only inf from kills and mission bonuses. As you can imagine, I got plenty more from selling drops. This involved no farming, but lots of task forces.

Not only is buffing self and allies okay, but you can plant bombs right at the foot of an enemy without negating your stealth.
  18. Colleen Saramago (level 15-19 contact) has a mission with a destructible object called 'Box of Parts'. It will spawn an infinite supply of Gears while someone is near it. Sadly, I do not think the mission is available through Ouroboros.

    Damage Badges

Mainly, it was put on to prevent the characters from gaining damage badges by parking next to CoT red emanators overnight or something similar.
My speculation would be that no one ever even considered this and that it was purely by chance that the system was implemented in such a manner that HP above base value interfered with damage taken badges.
  20. Okay, everyone seems fine with either so I'll decide. Kahn - simply because I haven't done that one as many times as the STF.

We can do an STF after that but I may or may not be sticking around for it. It depends on when/if my brother and his wife log on.

Oh, please, that's total nonsense. What they did, was change the conditions of the game such that slotting in some ways was a poor choice. They "essentially said" that they were changing the way enhancements worked. No more, no less.

So - for the "punish them!" crowd - should they have taken away these ill gotten gains? Or was that (as I expect you'll argue) "different" somehow?
    Oh, well-played, sir!
You try to preemptively disarm the obvious argument - obvious because it's CORRECT.
    Priceless!
  22. Yes. It's a big room down there, full of pipes. If you look right around the reactor core, you'll see a gap between the floor plates and the core. You can target your teleport below the floor.

You could, but it really wouldn't tell you much by itself. No one player is 'representative' of how people play. If it was accompanied by a log of what activities they did each login, that would be useful. And interesting, I think. I'd read it.

Personally, I'm not civil when someone posts something that is demonstrably false. I will immediately jump down their throat so that a newcomer is not misinformed. (I'm not referring to your post. I'm just saying that I'm well aware of when I will be 'not civil'.)

What most of the "market forum regulars" have in common is that they are well-informed about the market. Imagine that.

Why not cut to the chase and just define flipping as buying low and selling high in a manner that does not affect the price ? This is exactly what is being attempted. The problem is you can't flip unless you achieve a momentary corner. The only difference between flipping and cornering is the percentage of time that the corner is maintained.
Why not cut to the chase and admit you don't grasp flipping? You don't have to corner anything in order to flip. You're just taking advantage of existing volatility. While you CAN corner in your flipping process, it's not at all required. When I flip, I will often have bids out at 20 million and sales at 30+ million - all at the same time. I'll come back a week later and all my sales and bids will be completed.

um, what? Do you mean you haven't tested whether damage that does not cut into your base HP is counted? (i.e. inflicted on 'bonus' hit points only) If not, then what are you talking about? That was pretty much *THE* category of damage that everyone complained about not counting.
