Okay, today i finally hit the 1 billion point and was wondering how can i expand my influence from here. I've earned the bill by farming and ticket rolls. I don't know how to work the markets like some of you can. Can someone give me a good guide of how to work the market when you have a good amount of inf?

First thing, congrats on reaching 1 billion inf!

Now to address your questions:

Yes! In this very forum, up at the top, there is a thread that has been pinned (sticky) titled "Market FAQ's and mini guides". This is a good starting spot for you to "Learn" how to work the market.

I have to ask: you said you made your billion inf by farming and ticket rolls; why change this if it worked for you unless you are getting bored with it? What ticket rolls were you making? If they were recipes, did you craft any of them? (bunch more questions for you on how you made your $$$ but that can wait)

I can sum up all of the guides that you will be able to find for you.

Purchase an item for price X. Sell that item for 11% higher (or more) than the total cost of item X (now this should include the cost of salvage and crafting). The 11% makes certain that you turn a profit, as the people who are more 'Ebil' than anyone here are the share holders of Wentworths....

Example for you:

Purchase 1 [level 50 Doctored Wounds: Healing] recipe for lets say 555,888 inf
Purchase 1 regenerating flesh (Salvage) for 4,222 inf
Purchase 1 hydraulic piston for 422 inf
Purchase 1 gold for 4,222 inf

So far your total cost is 1,051,354 inf.

List your crafted [Level 50 Doctored Wounds: Heal] for at the very least 1,167,003 in order for you to profit.

Though that profit margin is paper thin.. you can set what percentage you want to make.. in that situation i would want at the very least make 1 mil inf profit so you would list it for 2.17 mil.

Loads of ways to make inf.. just dig through the FAQ's and ask questions as you get them

OH!! almost forgot!

If you still find that playing the game is fun, that is a great way to make inf too! (just do both! place bids etc then go have fun!)

Welcome to the bigger game, inside the game

Thanks for the help and as for your question I am starting to find farming very boring now that monkie farm is coming to an end. The rolls i made the inf off of were silver and gold 35-39.

One basic question: Why? Do you actually NEED more inf?

Only you can say if you do or don't, but I often see people operating under the assumption that they need to amass as much inf as possible. I IO my toons around level 35 (i.e. can't use purples) and have no inclination to do it again at 50 to include purples. Therefore, I don't need megabucks.

I do, however, play the market. I do so because I think it's fun.

BTW, you can earn pretty massive amounts of inf by "just playing the game". Back when you needed to earn 2 billion inf for the final badge, I was at 1.4 billion when they lowered the requirement. That counts only inf from kills and mission bonuses. As you can imagine, I got plenty more from selling drops. This involved no farming, but lots of task forces.

Also look at Organica's reading the market thread. It has a lot of good explanations.
Don't forget to take a screenie of you in top hat, monocle, tea bag and Inf in your power monitor box for official club membership.

I would think that it will be hard for you to make money as quickly now that you are not exploiting an AE bug. good luck though!

Ooh, a sarcasm detector. Oh, that's a *real* useful invention. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...t-sarcasm.html
