1) Can I access the patron as a vig or do I have to go villian?
You have to be a Villain or Rogue.
2) Will the parton dude talk to me and let me run their arcs if I have APP's?
Yes. I did this with a scrapper who already had Body Mastery. I ran Scirocco's arc just to get the badge. Remember to talk to Arbiter Rein first. He introduces you to a patron.
3) Have to I get the patron pools?
um, what? Do you mean "How do I"? If so, talk to Arbiter Rein to be introduced to a patron. (He's standing in front of Recluse's tower in Grandville.)
4) Do I have to do the resepc redside and slot the pools or can I go back blueside and then respec the patron pool in?
This one I can't answer for certain as I have not tried it, nor have I done a respec on anyone who had unlocked a patron pool. It should work no matter what side you are currently on, but I can't say for certain. -

1. Make the system almost entirely random. That's the fairest for everyone.
2. Instead of trying to apply various participation metrics, which are almost impossible to work fairly across AT's, have metrics for a LACK OF PARTICIPATION. If you spend more than x% of the trial 'inactive', your reward table suffers. Auto-firing powers will not work to negate this. Moving around does not apply either. You need to be using actual powers. Is this still 'gameable' by standing off alone and firing AoE powers? Yes, but it's making the person do SOMETHING. If you have to be doing something, the vast majority of people will do something useful to the team.
Trying to apply metrics based on helping the team are guaranteed to be unfair. If you based it x% on dealing damage and y% on buffing, some powersets will suffer. Change the percentages and different powersets will suffer. There are too many varied powersets for such a system to work fairly. -
Fix the damn prompt windows for "Hide Useful Salvage Warning" and "Hide Large Auction House Fee Warning".
SERIOUSLY! We have similar prompts for like 10 other options and the rest of them work perfectly. You can turn the damn things off and they STAY OFF. For these two to still be malfunctioning makes the programmers and managers look . . . let's be polite: less than competent.
Make power animations work all the time. Sometimes they simply don't play. The power activates and the effect goes off, but there is no animation. So I try to do it again, since I think it didn't work.
Have a secondary group of 'downgraded graphics settings'. I accept they can't simply make the lag in raids go away, but I'm not going to go into the menu and change a dozen settings. Give us two memorized groups of settings: Regular and Raid. Give us a /slash command to set them. -
The queue is (unfortunately) not a good way to get in the trials. You should go to either Pocket D or Rikti War Zone (different servers prefer different locations) and get on a league. They are being formed constantly (at least during prime time).

Geeze. Maybe we can all chip in and get her a coffee mug that says 'Uber Leader'.Quote:so I knew you are a leader material.. great job in leading..
-
Nah. If you're teamed with nimrods you're going to spend time in the hospital and that's going to kill your participation.

Quote:So don't turn off the turret. That's how it normally goes on the raids I've been on recently. We pull the AVs to the spawn point and don't touch the turret controls. The turret can only shoot one person. When you start getting shot, move into the alcove to the left of the doors - the turret can't hit you there. Once you lose the 'targeting' icon, step back out. The turret puts a power on you, which shows up among your buff icons, which tells you you're the target. I forget the exact name, but it's a dark blue icon that looks like a standard single target attack icon. Not a 100% sure on this, but pretty sure that thiers a bonus 1 Astral Merit for not ever turning any turrets off.
Which is why Im not a fan of that pull spot. yes, everyone shares more in the possible thread drops from the Adds and xp. But at the same time your loseing out on a extra Astral Merit.
So, at any given time, one person will be ducking out of sight to stay alive. Out of 24 people, that's not much of an issue. Of course, lots of people die because they don't realize who (what) is shooting them.
It's possible NOW. The devs have stated that the badges are currently not working as intended and, once they fix it, it will require THREE runs with restrictions on temp power usage. BTW, this strikes me as really REALLY stupid. Are there any Master badges which force you to do 3 runs of 'aberrant' behavior?Quote:Thanks dave_p for the clarification on the "Master of" badge situation. Yeah, especially in the Lambda Trial, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get it in one run.
The MoBAF badges make a lot more sense. You're just facing some extra challenge for the steps, or succeeding in what you intended anyway. You can let 19 prisoners escape and still succeed at the trial. If you let ZERO escape, that's worth a badge.
For MoLambda, you have to deliberately gimp yourself on three separate runs of the trial. Is there any Master badge that's IMPOSSIBLE to get in one run? I know it's hard to get Hacker and Midnighter Dodger in a single run of Tin Mage, but it's not impossible. -

Your statement is disingenuous. I said ONE PERSON can't tell anything from a limited number of trials. You would need to compile data from multiple players.

I'm in. Al Pine (plant/cold controller) is level 26 currently.

A base expansion pack would have to be pretty epic for me to pay for it. The costume parts are stuff that teammates will be seeing constantly while I play the toon.
Quote:hmm.... Those are pretty epic. I'd pay for that stuff.IE. (off the top of my head)
-"Training Room" pack with several different versions of Target-Practice dummies & a Trainer
-"Wardrobe Room" pack with a Tailor, ICON-style customizable mannequins, SG-specific uniforms.
-"Vendor Room" pack with access to the Market, Quartermasters/Vendors, etc. -

Quote:It's an emergency fix and it's a BUSINESS decision. It was done this way to have the minimum overall impact on the playerbase. Yes, some people are inconvenienced. Get over it.I would rather they do this on Thursday as advertised as the designated maintenance window.
I have not had the game crash EVEN ONCE since Issue 20. Frankly, I might not have had any crashes since the beginning of the year. Whatever crashes you are having are NOT a universal problem.Quote:About your comment about stability, this game crashes no matter what!! -
Quote:Did you conveniently overlook this part: "While there is an element of randomness"That would be all good and fine, except, as they say here...

...the system rewards "participation".
If there is ANY random factor (and THERE IS), then one person can't tell squat from a limited number of runs. -
They don't. I tested it literally 10 seconds ago. Perhaps you had recently zoned? If you zone with a Stealth IO running, you'll get that 120 second buff because it 'forgets' where the buff is from.
-
We have been told (by a redname) that "participation" is a factor and there is also a random factor. We don't know how heavily each is weighted, nor do we know what qualifies as "participation".
-
It's been that way for a LONG time. The game 'forgets' where the buff came from when you zone, so it lets them stack. This is the same effect that lets a buffer stack shields on the team as long as they buff before and after the target zones.
-
No, it indicates that they use the same spawning system as regular enemies. Apparently that comes with the effect of having them targetable.

No, they don't require *ANY* inf at all. I have received 3 very rares and at least 1 of each rare but not enough of other stuff to get to the top tier. I wish I could buy COMMONS.

Quote:What he meant to say was, "I SEEM TO GET more shards on an ITF than threads in an incarnate trial."Well, shards can be converted into threads. And since you get more shards in an ITF than threads in an incarnate trial... *shrug*
My experience is different. -
I find it difficult to believe they would blindly implement a system that 'screws' a significant portion of the players - after this EXACT issue was addressed with regard to the Praetorian zone events.
