I had three Tier 3's in Destiny for a while before I picked one and took it to Tier 4. -

As none of us are currently trying to download the client, we don't know. There wasn't any announcement about the download server being offline. If it is having problems, they will likely be fixed Monday morning when people get to work. -

It is. Maximum name length was 16 characters, then increased to 20. I *SO* wanted to make 'Hand to Hand Wombat' back when it was 16. I had to settle for Unarmed Wombat.

This week we're doing the Eden Trial - it's more or less the next one up, based on level, and it's also the Weekly Strike Target.
Saturday, July 2 at 1 PM EDT
Eden Trial
Level 39+ (exemps to 41)
Requires 4 players.
The contact is Woodsman. He is located in Eden and the base teleporter drops you right next to him.
This trial used to be bugged, in that you needed someone in the level range in order to start it. Supposedly, this has been fixed. We'll find out on Saturday by having a level 50 leader try to start it. It doesn't actually matter if it has been fixed, since the character I will be bringing is currently level 41.

So, a new player can sub up for a month on July 15 and let it expire on August 15 and get 800 points for having a subscribed day in both July and August.
And then resubscribe for just one month on Sept 15, Nov 15, Jan 15, Mar 15, and May 15.
They wind up paying for 6 months and for those 6 months they are VIPs. And during the 6 months they are not subscribed, they are Premium.
And even though they only paid for 6 months, they get 12 months worth of 400 point rewards.
Is that correct?
EDIT: I see I was mistaken: It's only July in which being an active subscriber for part of the month counts as for the full month. It seems, starting in August, you'll need to be active for the whole month to get the 400 points.
Why? Paying for powersets is not new. Dual Pistols and Kinetic Melee were not included with the regular subscription. All the villain AT's and their respective powersets had to be purchased when they first became available.Quote:Originally Posted by OminousVoice

I still find the situation odd because if you let your become a premium and you paid for GR your not supposed to lose content that is in the game. From what i understand i will not lose all the features that came with issue 19 or 20 aside from the trial, though i've still paid for GR, why is that i have to lose this content too? Pretty much i get all the auras from issue 19 and all the zone events from it as well but now because i'm not paying a monthly sub i no longer have access to the Tin Mage and Apex TFs, even though i have GR.
Secondly, Tin Mage and Apex? What are you talking about? Those are not trials - they are plain old task forces and not part of this discussion. You don't lose access to them.
