I like Meadowlark as.. um... whatsisname the captain of the Imperial Guard.
On the other hand, I am disgruntled that one of the few Futurama characters with real powers - the Hypnotoad - is dressed as Havok. I guess they didn't want to make him Psylocke or Professor X. -

Yeah, I have one guy with over 80 and every possible discount.
I want more costume slots. I play my main more than all other toons combined and five costumes doesn't cut it. -
Quote:Sure I do. But I can get greater benefit, to myself and the TEAM, from other powers. NONE of my tanks take Build Up (unlike my scrappers, brutes and blasters).I would skip the build up on a tanker, but that is more of a personal preference.

Yeah, annoying about the pets. We had a run that 'appeared' to be successful but plenty of pets got hit - no badge. At any rate, we ran it again with zero pets on the map and were able to get the badge.
Amusingly, we ran into Zwillinger in Pocket D a few minutes later and our league leader asked him about it. He said he would check with Baryonyx or Dark Watcher to find out. Someone then said in League Chat - "Confirmed. Devs hate masterminds." -
Quote:Presumably non-players, ex-players with a bone to pick, etc. On the other hand, one would expect current players to tell you that it's not dead.but everyone keeps telling us that no one plays anymore and that the servers are all but dead.
Quote:Is it still hopping?
Is it more active than it has been in a while? Yes.
They keep coming out with new stuff to retain interest and get new players. Also, there are changes coming up that I think will significantly increase the population. This would also appear to be the opinion of the developers as they ran a server load test not too long ago - getting as many people as possible logged into one server to test performance. (As I recall, they got over 4,000 people logged into one server simultaneously.)
Quote:Is getting the game now a good investment or will we be looking at a waste of money in a few months?
However, will YOU personally like the game? That's a tough one. We get lots of people who try this game and don't like it because it doesn't follow a lot of the standard patterns of other MMO's. On the other hand, we get a lot of people who *DO* like it - for exactly the same reason. Only time will tell.
Quote:Also, check out the Mentor project, located at the top of the Player Questions forum. Lots of people willing to help out new players there.Link to the Mentor Project post is in my sig.

To be fair, some people can solo those spawns. I can do it on my earth/rad if all my powers are charged. I can also do it on my scrapper. Both of them are fully level-shifted.

Update plot is one of the options and you can do it without tearing anything down. You can even 'upgrade' to the same size plot in order to 'reposition' your base on the available area.

But it was a POINTLESS assumption. His question stated that a VIP had filled up the "entire 12". He could just as easily have said "entire 17". The point was, he had filled all available slots. For you to assume he really had more than 12 and then answer on that basis completely ignored his actual question.

It's not that simple. There was epic screaming when they introduced Enhancement Diversification - but it was a good thing. Any change has to be evaluated on its merits - not summarily dismissed or embraced.

Quote:Yeah, we all went through it when Inherent Fitness came out. I do the screenshot bit also, and save them indefinitely in case I forget to take the screenshot next time I respec, or my trays get messed up, etc.The really annoying thing is that I'm coming back to this after being away for several issues, and I'm going to have to respec literally almost every character I have to take advantage of these changes. It's an annoying process as it is, not made any easier by this tray rigamarole. :/

Quote:You are correct. Ignore TerraDraconis. He is ASSUMING that you have somehow earned additional slots, which does not change the basic question.A VIP fills up the entire 12 slots given on 1 server and then reverts to Premium. Now he goes to that server to unlock slots, but my understanding would be he could not choose to unlock an empty slot because he has no free slots assigned to that server anymore.
If you have used every slot on a server, you can't 'unlock' an empty slot - because you don't have any. You would have to buy more or delete a character. -
Quote:From the patch notes:I was under the idea that "you could allow others" to join your trial in progress only by clicking the special button(basically to account for drops/quits). I don't think you can personally invite after you go in.
"League leaders can now invite eligible Level 50 characters into an Incarnate Trial in progress."
Except it doesn't seem to work. -
Yes, we read it. I don't think he was saying what you think he was saying.
-
Well, I can post some data from before the patch.
- My dark defender has Interface unlocked and Destiny at 19%. That is from FOUR runs of Lambda.
- For the BAF, 8 runs has her with Judgement unlocked and 48% on Lore.
I log trials and TF's in a spreadsheet. That's the only character I have in the range between nothing unlocked and everything unlocked. -
Quote:Well, this is what player ratings and notes are good for - ensuring that you never team with that jerk again.Yeah the very same MM who refused to DIE to help out and spent the entire time waiting to dance, WITH HIS MINONS, in the cut scene managed to aggro Marauder and before we could even get outside and shut a single portal the trial failed because Maurader chased either him or his pets out the entrance.

This is a value judgment and really can't be stated as a truism. Some people actively seek out stress in their lives and/or in games. However, the people that want it don't generally label it 'stress'. Stress is perceived as a bad thing. They would label it 'thrills'. People jump out of planes. People play games where someone can be sneaking up behind them to kill them at any moment. They enjoy it. (FYI, I don't.)
Limiting my comments to this game, some people like PvP and some don't - even back when it was 'working right', I had to spend a lot of time in PvP zones collecting badges. I fought a lot of PvP'ers and won more than I lost. But I was doing it because I wanted the badges. I never liked PvP, I still don't and, once I had the badges, never did it again. Not every part of the game is going to appeal to every person. A lot of people simply don't like teaming in general and are annoyed that the iTrials are the only way to get the new stuff.
Quote:I honestly came away from that Trial thinking that all it did was promote greed, unhealthy competition and if anything, a lack of any sense of teamwork or camraderie. I stress that this is the way I thought, and I mean no disrespect to anyone on that Trial or to those who do them.

That's okay. Doc actually showed up today.
We had about 12, grabbed a few extra from globals and went with a team of 8 and a team of 7. -
Quote:So open up your Incarnate window and figure out which powers you'd like to get and what salvage they require.I also had a choice of components, which was a little annoying because I don't like being forced to make a choice when I have no idea what the choices are.

Quote:I am reminded of Bruce Willis' line in the Fifth Element after shooting someone in the face:* The realization of what kind of hero I was expected to be when destroying a bunch of Clockwork and beating the tar out of a few Skulls earns me the title: Negotiator.
"Anyone else want to negotiate?"
