Quote:We should be able to get most of them. It's a little hard to get Hacker and Midnight Dodger on the same run.Willtry and bring someone. Are we going for all the badges?
All it takes is 12 shards. I'll be running a Sister Psyche TF at 8:30 EDT tonight - you can get shards while exemped now. -
Quote:I am reminded of the scene in Caddyshack where one of the caddies buys a Coke and finds the price has been increased.I won't pay 2 or 3 billion inf for one. What i will do is offer up to 3 purples that are needed for a trade(your choice as i have a ton). 3/1 ratio is fair i think regardless of what recipe it is.
- I ain't paying <whatever amount> for no <whatever product>.
- Then you ain't getting no <whatever product>.
This line of reasoning works anywhere.
While these are going for 2.5 billion off-market, you can certainly get one cheaper. Hang out on TheMarket channel. I've sold two there - one for 2 billion, one for 1.9 billion. I didn't care about getting every possible inf. I just didn't like the market skimming 10%. Or you can put a bid on the market and wait. I got the Shield Wall +resistance that way. Shockingly, I only had to wait 5 days. -

The problem with this line of thought is that space exploration has had direct and beneficial impact on life here on Earth. Scientific research in general provides tangible benefits. And we can't say in advance what research will be fruitful since many important scientific discoveries occur by accident (but as a result of scientific research - i.e. something the researchers weren't even thinking about).

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I would say the list of AT's and powersets isn't relevant. Answer these questions:
1) Which of the candidates do you play the most?
2) Do any of the candidates currently have any problems? (i.e. Constantly running out of END, not enough recharge, not hitting enough, getting hit too much, etc).
'Fixing' a character using IO's is generally easy and cheap and can dramatically increase your enjoyment playing that character. -
Quote:So, make up your mind. Is it random, or not? They are random, but i farm about an hour or 2 everyday and up to 10 on any given weekend and can tell you that some maps very well drop more purples than others. Council especially sucks in comparison to Demons, Freaks and BM.

Quote:Actually to a point it is, since you can't get shards from enemies that don't con at least white to you when exemplared.Quote:
so even though a level 50 minion cons blue to you once you get a T3 Alpha, it should still drop shards.
The first statement is WRONG. You can only get shards from enemies that are at least even level to you. What color they con is irrelevant. Incarnate levels do not affect eligibility for drops. Neither do the level shift inspirations. -
No, no, no. Not "should be". Lots of players actually keep an eye on this. Currently, there are no reputable claims (there are always loons) that the drops are not random. Drops do not vary by faction or map.

Quote:No can do. The reason is, you're really paying for that key code. You can actually download and install the entire game for free. But you need a paid account to play (aside from playing as a 'trial' account). It's that key code that activates your account.I just bought City of Heros from the shops, it is the starter pack edition and comes with a product key. I bought this came so me and my brother could play together; is it possible for my brother to make an account and we can both play together, but only on one cd key.

Quote:The last sentence here is correct. The rest is not. I use ZoneAlarm. It can block port-scanning, malicious browser elements, and other stuff. Also, as noted, it will stop malware that's on your computer from communicating. When something does get through your other defense, like a trojan, a firewall can stop it from doing any harm (i.e. communicating back to the originator).Software firewalls do not work on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. All a firewall does is "prevent" traffic from going in and out of ports. It does nothing to prevent legit traffic from entering or exiting.
Quote:I use Avast, because I like it for the boot scan.
I also have the free version of Malwarebytes for a second opinion if I think I have a virus, but Avast comes up clean.
And you definitely need a router, as multiple people have noted, if you don't already have one. That's your first line of defense. -
This seems like a ridiculous argument to me. Do most people go into a computer store, realize they can't buy one of everything, and vow to never shop there again? There needs to be a tremendous assortment of things for sale. If most players immediately buy everything, that means there wasn't enough stuff and NCSoft is leaving money on the table.

I was trying to be more polite than saying flat-out that you're wrong.
Quote:Tell us more about this bug. Since Ironblade and I both spend quite a bit of time in the Gameplay / Technical Issues and Bugs section helping players with problems (and possibly several others that have posted in this thread as well), it would be beneficial to know what you are talking about in case others bring up the same item.
uh huh. Just as you said, "Here we go again." -
Well, I had taken a vacation day for this Friday.
Spoke to my office manager today and will be taking off Friday, August 12th.
BAM! -
I'm sorry, but this is not the approved phrasing. You're supposed to say that it's a "slap in the face". Exclamation points and frownie faces are appropriate.

Odd. I was messing around with this a couple weeks ago and pet emotes in macros worked every time unless I tried something fancy (like having different pets do different emotes in one macro).
I didn't try any binds. -
I'm sure you've had your fair share of these threads and i'm sorry for adding to the equation, however this seems to be the best way to acquire information from a decent source.
If I'm not wearing pants, does that make me an indecent source?
1) Servers. More than I can choose from! I'm currently based on Union and have always been happy there. However I can see there are certainly more players on Virtue and Freedom (Based off of the three circles at the server selection page, which i'm not sure if that dictates server stability or player load); so i'd like to know whether or not it'd be worth moving servers.
I wouldn't "move". What I would do is make new characters on other servers to get a feel for them. You might fine one that you like. Different servers really do 'feel' different. Well, maybe not every servers feels different but some do. Explore.
2) Is it worth leveling a character from the beginning to get back into the feel of the game?
Yes. There have been a lot of very basic changes. For example, everyone gets the Fitness Pool for free now.
4) Is there anything i'm missing out on? I left the issue after the introduction of the Architect system I think, so while my 50 is sitting and acquiring algae is there anything I should take a look at?
Yes, you should take a good look at www.ParagonWiki.com
The site is maintained by us players and has a ton of information. Particularly, go to the page listing all the issues. The page links to a summary of each issue. Figure out where you left and then read up on everything that came since then.
5) Should I level another character, is the best way to level still at the Architect building? Standing in there and advertising until I had a group seemed to be protocol then and the Xp/Hr was very desirable, is this still the case?
Is it the fastest way to level? Probably. Is it a good way to learn the game? Absolutely not. Get on the active global channels for your server and get on regular teams, task forces, etc. -

I don't remember the exact name of it, but have you tried the connection repair tool built into Win7? I lost my internet also (while trying to set up VPN) and, while flailing around trying to fix it, Windows asked if wanted it to repair the connection. I figured I had nothing to lose and said yes. Shockingly, it worked and I have not had any issues since.

Well, whatever we're going to do, we'll be doing it two weeks later.
Quote:Post is here.An issue has cropped up that prevents us from activating Double XP on the live servers this week between July 28 and July 31. The good news is that weve identified the problem that has caused this delay, and will be putting a build up on the Training Room soon that should resolve the issue. We will also be hosting an event later this week in order to ensure the stability of the new build.
We understand this is will be a great disappointment for some of you and appreciate your understanding in this matter. We wouldn't be resorting to cancelling this popular event at such short notice if we could at all avoid it, you can be sure of that.
Instead, we will be hosting Double XP on all live servers between August 11 at 9:00 a.m. PDT (12:00 p.m. EDT / 5:00 p.m. BST / 18:00 CEST) until August 14 at 11:59 p.m. PDT (2:59 a.m. EDT / 7:59 a.m. BST / 8:59 CEST)! -
